My son only mentioned it once

Hello. My son is now 10 years old. One night when he was 4 he woke up screaming. I ran into his room and asked him what was wrong. He told me he was in a small plane with another man and there are only 2 seats. He said when they got up a little in the air the wheels got caught on the power lines and he crashed and burned in the fire. I asked him what his name was and he said "Scott" (he alsoincluded the last name) Then he went back to sleep within minutes. I actually do not know if he was fully awake while telling me this thru his tears. I was very shaken. I remember my dad telling me along time ago my great uncle died in a plane crash. I called my dad and told him what my son had told me the night before and how upset he was. He said that is what happened. My dad told me that shortley after take off they believed he had engine trouble and could not get high enough fast enough and hit the power lines and the plane exploded on impact. He was only 30 when he died. This was April 1954. My father later found the news paper clipping and gave me a copy. My son,even at his young age looks alot like him. My son has never mentioned this again. I have asked him a few times over the years if he remembers telling me this. He said yes but he doesnt add anything else. What could this be? Have you had any cases where it has been a one time statement and the child remembers telling about it but no other details?

Yes...it does happen. My son said things to me when he was five while awake. Does't remember it now - and never added information to the original statement.

Reincarnation within the same family is turning out to be more common that anyone knew. Have you read either of Carol's books yet? The book "Return From Heaven" talks about reincarnating in the same family. Also look in the video archive section here. I think there is a video from the discovery channel where Dr. Jim Tucker of the University of Virginia investigates the case of Gus Ortega in Denver. Gus remembers being his own grandfather. He convinced his parents by telling them things only the grandfather and his son, Gus's dad, knew. It's also on YouTube. On YouTube look for a video called "The Boy Who Lived Before". The Gus Ortega/Taylor story is a short segment within this video about a boy in Scotland with past life memories.

Yes I have read both books. The odd thing is that a friend of mine gave my children and I at least 100 books a few weeks ago and her books were there...I saw both the books that Carol wrote and was so happy because I has not been exposed to them...I am 42 and my son was born in 2002...he has a birth mark on the left side of his stomach that is a light red and is shaped like a star..the Doctor in Athens, GA that delivered him told me it would fade away by the time he was 5 or 6...I do not know if his Great, Great Uncle Scott that passed in the plane crash had one or not. He passed before my father was born. His brother, my grandfather passed when he was 39...my grandmother passed at 63 and I was 23 which is a long time before I had my son...I have no surviving relatives to ask about the birthmark, but it could be irrelavant to the whole mystery...like I said, he is 10 and the birthmark is still there.


I loved both of the books and the fact in the last one I read Return from Heaven...it was so emotional when the birthmarks matched the young child to show how, or what happened to the the person that passed..I am reffering to Chanai from the late 60's...I cried when I read that.


I am not sure if my son will ever talk about what happened that night again...it is just so odd that he doesnt mention it..


I just feel like I have questions that can't be answered.
 
The birth mark may be from a different past life. It could have been a gunshot or stabbing. Regarding the gift of the books, there is no such thing as coincidence. I was going to ask if your son has any habits or traits that your grandfather had, but with no relatives who remember him it would be hard to validate.
 
Was there an autopsy done? If there was perhaps there is a record of the birthmarks. Also, check old family photos. Google the name and see what comes up, especially in images. Ancestry.com is a great tool as well, many people upload photos.


Most importantly just be there for your son and listen and take notes. You never know what they might remember. My daughter started talking about it at age ten.

Hello. I am so sorry I have been out of the loop for a few days...my lap top is not up to par because of it age..As far as an autopsy he was so burnt the skin would not reveal anything....the birthmark I can't figure out...his great grandfather died at the age of 39 of a heart attack...I am currently working on my application for The Daughters of American Revoltion...I have a copy of my Aunt's application that I received recently and I hope it sheds some light of our familys past...the app she did goes back to 1770 in Rowan, NC..I have another book that has our family history that I will be looking into that goes back to the 1600's...I am so glad to hear that the books that Carol wrote were for me to read...my daughter is 7 and has never mention anything about a past life but has made a few odd statements when we go to lake Hartwell in the summer...she looks identical to my husbands sister that drowned in TX when she was 12...that was in 1974...my daughter makes statements for me to get closer when she swims to me because she is scared she will drown...

Does your laptop have a power supply that you can leave plugged in? Or maybe it needs a new battery. The rechargeable battery eventually wears out and has to be replaced. It sounds like your daughter could be remembering a past life. It's also possible she could be the sister. Her memories may not be as strong. Start keeping a journal on both of them.
 
I agree with Argonne and would certainly stay near her when she is swimming to give her added comfort. The notes may become invaluable to you later.


Ask open ended questions, you never know what may come out of the mouths of babes ...

Your children are definitely giving you strong clues about their past lives at this age. Listen to all the little things, write them down in a journal, including all the connections you make. You never know how important those things will be when they are just a little older.


Have you read Carol Bowman's book 'Children's Past Lives'? It has some great pointers on how to help your children through this time of remembering and healing.

You can change the battery yourself. Usually no tools are needed. You do need to know the brand and model number of your laptop. Here is what they look like and the prices are not that expensive.

ojyager- Do you know who Edgar Cayce was? He was the most famous American psychic of the 20th century. Do you know anything about astrology? Edgar Cayce predicted that if someone dies before they are supposed to, when they reincarnate the astrology birth signs or charts will be the exact opposite. If you know the birthdate of the uncle you can go to an online astrology website and plug in the birthdates of the uncle and also your son and the website will calculate the astrology signs. Print this out and save it. James Leninger, the boy who remembers being the WWII pilot shot down in 1945, has the exact opposite astrology chart as the pilot. There was also a recent story here in the forum where the child's astrology signs are the exact opposite of the person they were before.

Thank all of you for your input. The lap top issues is where the plug connects into the computer..it is not connecting very well internally..I rotate between 2 batteries, it is just hard to get them fully charged..I hope to get it fixed in the next few weeks.


I have started the journal on both of my children..it is so facinating to me.


I have heard of Cayce and I am going to check out the web site you provided. I have the DOB of my Uncle...I am going to check into that today.

Do you have a link I can go to so I can input the DOB's of my children and my great uncle and the aunt? I am sorry it has taken so long to get back on...my daughter had the terrible stomach bug that lasted 4 days..then ,my son and then me! Everyone is well now..we are spending some time with my parents at Lake Hartwell. Please let me know if there is a specific web site you recommend for astrology.
