Was just viewing some of the stories and they absolutely fascinate me because I have a son who talks a lot in the past tense. This is what I hear him talk about:
My son is 4 years old now and I first noticed him talking about his past when he was around 3. He first started talking about these "kids", which is probably why I really never payed too much attention to it. When he started to say that it was his kids that's when I started to listen. I would just let him talk about these kids and then one day I asked which kids he was talking about? I thought he was going to say "Kids from daycare or his cousins". I was totally intrigued when he said they were "his kids". I just let him talk like that for about 2 weeks or so and finally I asked how many kids he had. He told me five (5). I was shocked because he would tell me things that he and his kids did. One day I asked him where was their mommy. He told me she left them. That's all he would say about her. Then again on another day he was playing by himself on our carpet in our living room and he just came out and asked me "What happened to that lady?" I asked what lady? He said "That lady that looked after my kids". I said I don't know and then asked what she looked like. He said she had light hair. I was very taken aback because he asked me so "matter of fact". I got around to asking him if he could remember the names of these kids. He could only remember two. He said one of his sons name was Blue and he mentioned another one, but I couldn't make out what he was saying. To me it sounded foreign.
