My son , every since he could talk has always asked me if I remember when I was a little kid,and he was old. He's 7 now, and he came up to me and said, "Mom i know how it works now. We grow up. Not get younger, but I still remember you when you were a kid,and I was old. I've tried to get what he remembers out of hi m but he doesn't say much. He says I was his child. But my parents are still living. Does this sound like past life memories or a confused child that doesn't full understand the order of life. Paula

There is a "sticky" thread in this section of the forum, which lists signs that indicate a child could be remembering a past life. I think you should read that and also otherwise browse the threads here, but to me it sounds like your son is remembering something real. After all, he's apparently been consistent with your "roles", and I think that if it was his imagination, he would tell you more about it. Not saying much tells me, it's not a fairy tale he has made up.
The fact that your parents are still alive doesn't prove anything, as your son could be remembering a life further back in history.
If you haven't done so already, please write down everything your son says about these memories. It could prove helpful and interesting later on. Your son won't probably have these memories anymore in a couple of years. They are usually strongest, when children are something like 4 years old.
Keep us posted, if your son tells you more of these memories!

Now that is reasonable if one has been in a dimension where one can "grow" younger by reincarnating, which perhaps he has just done. But he now understands that in this dimension one grows older. That's apparently a great insight to him.
Your parents are still alive so he was not one of your parents, but he could have easily have been one of your older relatives that has since passed on. Grandparents sometimes consider their grandchildren as "their child" as do other close relatives such as an aunt or uncle.

I agree that it sound like a past life memory. 
The possibilities suggested here are all good ones, in my opinion. My first impression is that you had a had a previous life together where he was the parent or a parent figure.
Have you asked him if he thinks this may be another life the two of you have shared? Perhaps he's still puzzling out how it can be possible and is reluctant to say more for that reason. Or perhaps the memory is just a brief glimpse without much detail. Or perhaps there were some puzzling things in the memory he just isn't prepared to talk about or understand yet. Just to name a few reasons her may not elaborate on his memory.
