MY SON'S PAST LIFE MEMORY????

I just don't know where to start! My son, Kyle, shared the most amazing experience with me today. I'm going to back track a moment.....Kyle is 9 years old. Over the past year or two, he has made many comments
that he "wants to go home". After questioning him about what he means, the subject just got dropped each
time, as Kyle tends to tell "tales" sometimes. But this morning as I was working on the computer, he was
laying on the floor next to my chair playing his
Gameboy. All of sudden he said "I want to go home".
So I started with very simple questions and he
provided amazing answers....all the while he was
playing his Gameboy, so his voice was relaxed, he
wasn't excited or hyper like he is when he's telling a
"tale". Over the next two hours, many, many details
emerged. Here is the condensed version of our
converations: He lived in the mountains, I was his
mother but with blonde hair and brown eyes (I'm
actually a dark Italian), he had a twin brother (I do
have a daughter who is 12 & he has made so many
comments to me about his "twin" and did he have a twin
that died at birth - he did not - Kyle & his sister
are my only two children). Kyle said he and his
"twin" both had blonde and blue eyes (Kyle actually
has brown hair & blue eyes). I had him draw pictures
for me.....our home was built into the mountain and
there were a few other homes near ours. There were
steps leading down the mountain to a lake or river.
He drew a picture of me wearing fur pants and a fur
shirt and also wearing boots made of cloth. He and
his "twin" were wearing a different type of pants and
they both wore suspenders. I asked him about school
and church and what kind of car I had...he said they
didn't go to school or church and I had no car (he
told me I was silly cause there were no cars then). I
asked him what store I went to buy my lipstick, he
said that there WERE no stores like that (I was trying
to throw some questions out there to see if I could
throw him off track - but he did not waver). He said
we learned about God by praying. He said we hunted
for our food. I asked if he had the same dad as he
does now (I'm divorced from Kyle's dad)...he said no,
this dad was different and he died when he was
climbing up the mountain to get food and he fell off
the mountain. Kyle has always been afraid of the dark
and of sleeping alone. He told me today, with tears
in his eyes, that he gets the "pictures" in his head
and they scare him. I questioned him many times
throughout our 2 hour talk that if this was one of his
"tales", that he should tell me & I won't be mad, but
he is very adamant that this is true. I told him that
if it is true, I DO believe him. I gave him his own
journal to draw pictures of what he sees in his head
and for him to come and talk with me about it.

Does this sound like it could be a past life memory?
Kyle told me all of this in such a "matter of fact"
way while continuing to play his Gameboy the entire
time (except when drawing pictures).

Another interesting fact about Kyle: I had a very
rough marriage. I wanted to divorce Kyle's father
about 3 years before Kyle was born (my daughter was 1
1/2 at that time). But I didn't. If I HAD divorced
him when I wanted to, Kyle would never have been born.

Ever since I was pregnant with Kyle, I knew in my
soul that he was supposed to be on this earth, that he
was going to be something special (not that he is any
more special than any other child), like he's here for
a specific purpose.

Anyone have any suggestions or comments?

I think that's really interesting about Kyle. From the sound of it, it sounds like that very well could have been a past life memory.

I'm actually quite struck by the fact that you say that 'he's special' and here for a special/distinct purpose. That's the way that I've always felt about my life as well. I used to tell my dad that I was special and different and that I knew more things than most kids my age (at a very young age I even used the term ESP, something I would have never heard with a Catholic background and _very_ limited tv watching).

Pay attention to Kyle (and to your other daughter as well). They will teach more than you ever would have known.

Take Care, -Kat.

Hi Beth,

Wonderful story. I can't see any reason not to believe it is a past life meory Kyle is reporting. I hope you will browse through this website, Carol's book and other resources so that you will become more aware of how children are much better at remembering their past lives than adults are. Kyle tells you all this in a matter of act way, because he knows it's true. The only doubts are in your mind, not in him.

What I love about your story and other similar stories is the power of love between souls. It is love that brings us together again and again on Earth and it is love that makes sure you stayed wiht Kyle's father long enough so that you two could bring him back onto the Earth together. This is what his soul chose. How magnificent!

I also think it's wonderful that you know that he is special and that he has a special purpose. I wish all parents had that attitude about their children.

Blessings to your family,

Bob

Bob & Kat:

Thank you both so very much for the kind, caring responses. Today, after Kyle & I had our initial talk, I have been very confused. I'm Catholic and raising my children in the church. I have some of my own beliefs, and there are things about the church that I don't agree with. Past lives was something I was a little leary of...since my faith didn't teach it. Now confusion is setting in due to my religious beliefs. But I'll get thru it and find my way, as well as my children's ways with the help of God.

Thanks again!!!

You have certainly made me feel MUCH better!

If you feel confused (which is completely expected), just carry on asking questions, that's entirely what this forum is here for, no-one will tell you you are wrong in any of your beliefs, but they will offer their own personal opinion...and sharing can be so much fun and so enlightening as well

As both Kathy and Bob have already suggested, it definitely seems that Kyle was telling the truth in this cae, and his recall sounds very much like a past life memory coming through - as Bob suggested it is well worth reading over some of the other posts in here, going through the archives or doing a search for any topic you're particularly interested in...or simply ask away, and we will al try our best to answer

The fact that Kyle was preoccupied with the game at the time also suggests that while his conscious mind was playing and concentrating on the game, his unconscious mind was supplying and bringing forward his memories, so he was able to explain them to you very matter-of-factly.

The most important thing is to let Kyle know that you are behind him 100% and trust what he is telling you, otherwise he may become withdrawn on the subject through fear of being disbelieved.

He is a very special child and as Bob noted, I think it is so wonderful, despite how it may have seemed at the time, that your relationship with Kyle's father reamined until his birth so you could once again share eachother and re-establish age old bonds of love

Lots of Love

Hi Beth, it's really interesting that you're Catholic (as am I). I was brought up believing/being taught the Catholic traditions and such (and a little about the Anglican faith, as my dad is Anglican), but just the same, I've always had memories about past lives that I've lived. I knew that it wasn't proper to discuss them with my mom, but every once in a while I'd bring it up to my dad that "I was special/different/unique". It's great that Kyle can share them with you.

A couple of months ago I asked my mom if I "ever talked about living before" when I was a kid. She said that I hadn't. We were discussing it a little bit, as she was raised (also) not to believe in Reincarnation, that Jesus was raised from the dead, but that's it.

I said to (asked) her though, "Doesn't it make sense if when we're born that we come from heaven, and when we die, we go to heaven, wouldn't it make sense that we can live several times over?" It seems to be a continual process that never ends. Its our bodies that go from dust to dust and ashes to ashes, but our soul lives on.

Hope you're having a great day. Take Care, -Kat.

I think that it is great that you can believe kyle even though your religion says other wise.
see i am 16 and find that my mother says that she believes me but then we rarly discuss it again it is as if she fears it or something.
My mother and uncle(mom's bro) told me when my grandma died that they thought i was more receptive than most. But then again when i talk to her it feels like she is just nodding along not really listening or caring.
Maybe if she encouraged me about being more receptive earlier it would have been easier to find myself within my soul and learn from my lives before.

But i think that it is great how well you and kyle seem to get along i feel a strong bond between you too. I hope that things work out for you and your kids.

i am sorry i kinda went off topic didn't i??
merry part
