My son's recollections

When me son (now 30) was a young boy he mentions several times about things that had been in the past. We eventually unraveled that he had sibblings, his father was frequently out of town, the family used to go camping and that he had died in a car accident before he was old enough to go to school. I believed even then in reincarnation so I listened to him. He would actually show us things on a hiking trail that he had seen before although our family had never been to that location. He now says he would like to regress and find out more. I know that he and I have traveled together before in our lives.

I think that it was really good that you believed your son when he spoke to you about these sorts of things because many people don't. Some think that if a child is taken seriously by parents and others when he talks this way that he/she will continue to believe that and that somehow it would be destructive to the child, his/her childhood, growth, etc. but I think this theory is just absolutly false. When I was little I remembered past lives and I just got no input when I tried to speak through some of the things that I remembered, people would just look at me weird and after a few tries I started keeping it inside and tried my best to forget. My parents are pretty good parents(especially my mom who is absolutely wonderful) but they didn't know how to react to it or honestly not much about it at all.
I have heard others say this but I also believe this statement myself: that children who remember past lives actually have a more lengthy full childhood because instead of trying to hurry and grow-up they usually realize how short it is and try to get the most of it.
Before he was born did you have recollections of past lives?
