Nightmare and things remembered

Zeroturnzed

Nobody's Life is a Cosmic Joke.
Are nightmares always/often related to PL experiences? I don't remember when this nightmare started and when it ceased but, I would find myself in a two story white house without electric lights, I would start running away from something or someone that I was deathly afraid of and the chase would go on until I would run through a doorway and start falling down a dark shaft. As I would seem about to hit the bottom I would be back at the beginning of the dream and it would start again. I would eventually wake from the nightmare and lay there panting from effort and all sweaty. If I went back to sleep the dream would start again. This went on for several years. As I got older, in my early teens, the dream happened less frequently, maybe every month or two instead of almost nightly. Eventually, I stopped having the dream though even at 64 yo I can still remember the dream vividly.

On to things remembered, When I was three or four, I remember my parents taking my older brother, myself and my sister to Lake Contrary Amusement Park. It was in the evening and my uncle K was there and he wanted to take me and my brother on a boat ride on these mini speed boats. I was afraid of the water and wouldn't go but my brother went with him. They raced around on this little boat with all the other people out there. I remember a big wooden roller coaster but don't recall if we road it. I remember other things about the park too. The problem with this memory is the park was closed and tore down ten years before I was born.

Another memory is Krug Park in St. Joseph Missouri used to have a zoo with bears and other animals and I remember going there and my grandfather worked for the parks department at that time and I remember seeing him there. He sneaked up behind us and scared us this particular day. Like the Amusement Park, Krug Park closed the zoo exhibit before I was born.

Anyway, other than a PL I can think of no reason for the memories.

I would say some nightmares could be linked to past life memories, but not all. Some, after all, are said to be linked with present-day fears and concerns that lie subconsciously in our minds. Personally, I haven't unlocked nightmares, yet, but I've seen some 'nightmarish' imagery as I was drifting into sleep.

When you refer to not having been born, I'm assuming you mean into this current life and not the PL you're trying to connect them with?

Finally, to unlock more answers/memories, I would suggest a regression or meditation. There are several on YouTube, and Brian Weiss' video is recommended quite often on this forum. I've tried it for myself and got enough answers to start me on my journey of rediscovery, though some were imagined more than spontaneously-materialised. So, I would suggest clearing your mind of any hopes and clues. Go in 'blank' and allow your subconscious to open up.

Nightmares can be PL or current life related, it depends on what it was about, the setting, time period all those factors combined tell you whether it was PL or current

I would suggest that if the same location, such as a particular building, recurs in many dreams, it probably has a past-life significance (assuming it doesn't match a present-life experience). Similarly if the same scenario is played out in always the same way, it could represent a real event.

Myself, I have occasional nightmares, but they are all different. There might be some way to symbolically interpret the content, but the possibility to match it to a real place doesn't apply, often because locations shift and change, cartoon-fashion, as the dream progresses, it doesn't remain consistent in the way that non-dream realities do.

Yes, by born I was referring to this current incarnation. Thank you for your suggestions.

This nightmare was always identical in every detail. I couldn't change the conditions or the outcome. I was always presented with the same choices. I haven't had it since my mid teens and it is the only dream that I have ever remembered.

Which often come from this life, but also can be carryovers from a PL...

I agree with you.

Something similar happened to me, but I chased people and then I woke up, scared. I discovered that in a past life I did horrible things, and those streets I saw in my nightmares were the same ones I saw in the regressions. Some nightmares may be connected to a past life.

Zeroturnzed, If you say that this nightmare was repeated often and in great detail, I don't think it was some current fear. As always, meditations and regression sessions are very helpful.
