Odd Dreams?

TheCuriousOne

Always Searching...
Quick Question: If you have a dream where you are someone else and you die in a certain manner (I don't mean "you died of old age", I mean "you died of old age in a cottage in Washington surrounded by your family and your faithful dog" p.s. this is an EXAMPLE). Then you find the person's obituary or something and discover that that is the actual situation they were in when they died, but you had simply read the "gist" of their death. (You already know the example person died of old age, but you didn't know they lived in a cottage or had a dog). Is this PL validation? Or is it just one of those "correction" dreams (the dreams that are the basis for the saying "sleep on it").

Please don't ask me to reveal any more, as I do not feel comfortable sharing and I actually had to get in the right mood to post this. Thank you for your respect.

From my experience it's confirmation PL, but this doesn't exclude the fact that it can be as fake memory, although I have yet to meet with such. Subconsciously you should distinguish whether it is real and feel different emotions. If you already have memories of past lives should know from experience that it's the reality though was contained in a dream.

Yes, it is PL validation. Thanks to the internet more and more people are finding validation of their dreams, etc. So many databases are online now. Until about 10 or 15 years ago it was impossible to do very much past life research.

Sounds like a past life validation to me. It's possible you read about it somewhere, then dreamed about it due to suggestion. It's also possible that it's a past life memory. If you were to remember more about that life which then checked out, I'd say that's a very strong validation.

Actually I will only reveal things like "what if", not the actual memory. So...

What if one of your relatives (i.e, an aunt or a grandparent) knew about this person but never actually met them (as in, they heard about this person from a friend or a coworker who was also friends with this person). Would that make it harder to validate due to the possibility of genetic memory?

And suppose that you do not share talents with this person. Example, this person could crochet really well, but when you crochet it's a total mess. Would that destroy any validation?

Skills are acquired during a life time, but they are not preserved completely intact usually. For example, I've read of people who were previously a musician. They are not born being able to play an instrument. They have to relearn it, and they have to practice, but they usually find it is easier for them than most people to pick it up. It's sometimes the same with proficiency in a language. People can find it much easier to learn a language they once spoke.

So, being able to crochet or not crochet would not really mean all that much. It's a fairly simple skill to pick up anyway. If you were to try, you might find you picked it up easily, but it wouldn't be conclusive one way or another on its own.

As to 'genetic memory' I don't think there is any such thing. However, people do tend to reincarnate back into families. It seems to be more common than not. So if you are suspecting you may be an incarnation of a deceased relative, you could be right.

The person is not related to you, they are just the friend of a friend of a relative.

Now then (sorry if I'm being annoying), suppose this person has a completely different nature than you. I.E, this person was sociable and certain about everything, but you are a loner who is very indesicive.

Just trying to throw every possibility out there.

If this person was very different from you, had different skills, was not a relative and had nothing else in common with you, and you had no memories of their life, what would make you think you were their reincarnation?

Having had a dream of someone dying in unexceptional circumstances (lots of people die in bed, with their family and dog present) would not really be enough to establish anything on its own I'd think.

OK Tanguerra, thanks for clearing that up, although I never said you had no memories of the person. Even if you had no waking memories, you could still have infrequent dreams that seemed to match the person's life. Just saying.

If you're having repetitive dreams, or spontaneous recalls, about a person's life that is the number 1 indicator. You can tell if they're 'real' or not by the level of emotional attachment you have to them. Past life dreams are usually more vivid and more memorable than ordinary, every day dreams. They are often emotional as well. People talk about waking up in tears, or not being able to stop thinking about them and so on.

What sort of things is going on in the dreams? Past life recalls are usually about important or pivotal moments rather than just routine stuff.

I'm not really sure what you mean by repetitive. Do you mean like, on the 17th of every month? Or every three months on a random date? When I said "infrequent" I meant you had a dream one day in a month, another dream two months later, and a third dream nearly a year afterward.

All my dreams, PL or not, are extremely foggy, and I always feel groggy and tired. This can make it frustrating to determine wether or not it's for real. My Abydos dream contained the name of a real city, but it was preceded by something totally PL unrelated and I also was so groggy that I couldn't read what was on the other manholes.

I remember a dream that took place in the 20th century and I was in an apartment, there were some guys playing cards and I could feel the sunshine coming through the window, but that was it. My rational mind, unfortunately, was very prominent in that dream and I kept asking myself "Why am I dreaming about this? This isn't right, the date is wrong, etc." I also felt very very groggy and I felt more like I was floating than standing.

I'm not sure. Dreams are connected with your current life and just a few people can recognize their PL in dreams (or nightmares). But you can be one of that little part :)

Actually Ender, it's not so very uncommon to recall past lives via dreams. It happens relatively often. Past life dreams are usually vivid and memorable, more so than regular dreams and tend to have more of an emotional impact.

Yes, PL memories are hidden in our subconscious, but most of our dreams come from the current life. I think, that until you don't know anything about your life, those memories can't 'escape' in the form of dream.
