Past life collage

I'm in the process of making a past life collage and wonder if anyone else has done this?
A collage is a collection of pictures/images etc that is put together in a creative fashion to tell a story.
The way I'm planning to do this is start with a certain time in history I feel very connected with.
Obviosuly I wont be using "real" images from that life, but whenever I find something that I feel relates, like a landscape, color, a house whatever.. I can use it in the collage.
It's just for my own personal use ofc, but I think maybe it can help get an overview and a structure to all those fleeting feelings that sometimes come up related to something.

Have you picked from some important lives, or are all the lives you have a recollection of represented in the image somehow?

Well I only remember two lives, so my collage is just representative places from those times. Except for the Lanzón, I was fascinated by it since we studied it in art history class. I have no conscious memory though of being part of the Chavin culture or ever studied it in a PL, but I guess both are a possibility.
 
This looks nice Owl and thanks for posting! Maybe one of these days possibly I could work on something like this for myself. Interesting Idea.
 
Collages


My reincarnation hiatus was ended in part by a collage.


I was taking a course which uses collaging as one of its methods. I lay in bed feeling anxious about self-expression for some reason... this crushing, black feeling of dread... when it occurred to me that the feeling was identical to what I felt in a past life, awaiting execution. I realized I had to collage it... so I did.


I've done several other PL collages since then and two in particular were very very powerful...to the point of giving me healing reactions with physical symptoms.


The way to get that sort of result: put emotion into the collage. Add images that represent the emotions you feel. If it's gruesome and horrific -- fine. By putting it in the collage, you are getting it out of you. Let the blood and tears flow and the healing happen. Good luck to all who try!

Pinterest is one place that you can use to gather images from pretty much anywhere and display them together on a "board" ... it's basically a visual collector's paradise.
 
What a wonderful idea! I can see how it could be very useful both in a therapeutic way and a means of discovery.

I use Image Google, because they are for my personal use only so I don't worry about copyright.

Zeonchar, that castle is so pretty! I look at the images and wonder how they fit together.

And thanks for the links in the thread. I will be using my emotiones as a guide, really. So it wont be an accurate pl collage as I don't have much facts. I only have a couple of images so far

Ahlen - a town in Germany I lived in and had some great memories of.


SS runes - self explanatory.


Provisional IRA member - the last life before this.


Pre-war BMW motorcycle - something I loved to ride.


Confederate Cavalry from the American Civil War.


IRA pin.


The Rhine river in Germany - I lived next to it most of my life.


WWI would badge in black for a minor wound.


Free Derry, Northern Ireland - An autonomous community that supported the IRA.


Early SS members - a uniform I wore.


SS belt buckle - something I also wore.


Heimat - a spiritual feeling about homeland (Germany).


Pre-war Deutsches Eck, Koblenz - my hometown in Germany.


Another pre-war BMW motorcycle.


Background - a church in Bayern, Germany, a region I love.
 
I have pictures of my PL self, bread because I loved bread then (and now), a puppy because I loved my dog more than myself. I was from Poland during that life, Poznan/Posen. I also put pictures that I was connected with and tried not to make it trigger-y.. The trial picture was a nod at my fellow trial mates I miss and would like to see again.

I wasn't sure what to put so I did the best I could with the images I had. The first is a picture of myself in the 1900's. I added pictures of Michael Collins, and James Connolly who were also apart of my past life. There is a picture of an early celtic woman which I think I might have been before this life. Temple Bar is a place I went to visit with my father in Ireland. And a picture of the singer Sinead O'connor. I admire her a lot, and its eerie that we have so much in common.
