Past life ~ computer programmer

I've not really spoken of this to anyone, since I do not really know if it is real or was just a dream, since it first happened whrn I around3 years old, but it is something that has stayed with me right up to today that I think about almost on a daily basis and has left me windering about what it could possibly be.

As I said, I was around 3 years old when I first had these visions, so to speak of being a man in his mid-late 30s working as a computer programmer in an office building in Melbourne, Australia.
It waa the early-mid 70s, because of the style of clothes that I wore and saw everyone else wearing at the time (plus the technology of that time - cars, early computers, planes, even the proficient use of typewriters that were still orimarily used in that time).
I don't remember only flashes of that era, brief scenes of getting on elevators or working in a cubicle or talking to people, even some mundane chores of doing to the shops for the grocery shopping, but the one thing that stands out to me the most anout all of this is that I vividly can see myself driving home ine night down an empty stretch of road at sunset, down a road that teisted and turned and rose and fell as it went over hills and I was perfectly at ease, having gone this route many times in the past, but for some reasonp, as I was driving up a rather steep hill in the road, with the setting sun directly in front of me, the last thing I remember is seeing the sun slowly sinking in the sky and then - the next thing I know, my first thoughts are of being a 3 year old boy in this life, playing with my toys in the lounge room of my mum's house.
For some reason I have never been abe to shake the feeling that what I remember from the story I have just told me myself in my previous life and that something had happened to kill me and make me wake up as a new persin, a new life - the persin that I am now.
The more I've thought of it over the years, the more real is seems, because I've done some research and have indeed found a few records from the mid 70s about a young computer programmer who had been involved in a car crash on his way home from work one night in Melbourne.

There's been other odd things that I have experienced as well, from as little as 5 years ago that I cannot explain, but are best left for another thread, another topic.

Hello Quas, and welcome to the forum.

Your dream/vision sounds like evidence of a prior lifetime...have you had a sense of emotion while viewing those vignettes of the prior lifetime? Any weight attached to aspects of what you seemed to be doing or seeing and any people with whom you now find familiarity with now from then? Also does anything else about the "programmer in Melbourne" seem familiar to you? Have you investigated more about his life and accident? How long after he died were you born (not that it is indicative...I am just curious)? I would like to know more as you find it and if you choose to share.

Once more, welcome.

Hello Quas and welcome!

Thank you for sharing your story. It was a very interesting read. To me it sounds exactly like you experienced a past life memory. I'm also curious to hear more about what you found out about the programmer, the possible validations.

Have you ever considered trying a regression? :)

I have a dear friend who was a reporter and owned a newspaper in Australia. If I can help you in any way with your research please let me know.

Hi Quas,

Very interesting post. You mentioned you had experienced other things. Care to share? I am truly interested. I am sure others are too.

Hello Quas,

Thank-you for sharing this story; and welcome to the 'Past-Life Forum!'

By any chance, is your present-life occupation orientated around today's computer technologies?

There have been past-life cases where a person's previous lives involved occupations that are similar and even identical to present-life occupations.
