Past Life memories from 6yr old

I have always known about having past lives in fact I know I was a WWI flyer becasue i remember flying over different lands and seeing the people below. I am so afraid to fly now because of this! I have always asked my young children to describe any previous experiances without really much luck until my 6yr old son woke from a nightmare. He told me before he was in this body he was another person. He had just re-lived his mother's death again in his dream.

He was scared and crying, but soon calmed down. I asked more questions and he explained to me that he had lived in this same city before and where there are houses and schools, there was only land and he and his two older brothers and younger sister along with his Dad rode in a wagon with horses. He remembers the day his "other" mom died and how sad he was. (He starts to sob)

He thinks he was around 6. He also said he did not speak English. (He actually learned to speak spanish at his daycare from the cook, and she couldn't believe how well he could remember the words!)He also said he could remember always smoking as a young man.( He was diagnosed with Chronic Asthma at the age of 3) I asked if he could remember the age he was when he died, and he was really unsure but thought he was older. He just over and over kept saying how sad he was about his other mom and how much he missed her. He was glad I was his new mom and hoped I would be with him forever.

I'm telling you it really was the most fasinating conversation I have ever had with my kids. I will never ever forget it. My son is the most caring to me, he worries constantly about me, and always has to be touching my hand or have a re-assuring hug. Of course now I know why. I saw a show on Carol last night and I just had to write about this! Thanks so much for letting me share!

Hello Misty,

Welcome to the forum, and thanks for sharing with us your experience with your son. Does he often talk about his past life? or was it just on the one occasion?

It's very common for children to stop remembering around the age of 7, so there may not be much time left for you to find out about who your son was before.

I would suggest reading Carol's books if you haven't done so already. I don't know how much your son has spoken of his memories, but it's always a good idea to write everything down that he says, and keep it safe. And another good way of getting him to express himself is through drawing, get him to try and draw pictures of what he remembers.

I hope the nightmares are not bothering him too often, but just reassure him that he is safe with you, and that you are not going anywhere, and hopefully everything will be okay for him.

Please join in with any of the discussions, but don't forget, the forum will be read only from tomorrow (wednesday) for two weeks due to maintenance. Meanwhile, i look forward to hearing more from you. Please keep us updated on your son's progress.

Welcome to the forum, MistBrown. :)

Thank you for sharing. Chris gave you a good reply. I also suggest you read Carol Bowman's books Return from Heaven and Children's Past Lives.

It's usually not very useful to try and ask children about their past life memories, if they haven't brought them up themselves. Besides if they won't talk about them spontaneously and don't have any problems, they probably don't need to remember their past lives at such young age.

I'm glad your son was able to talk to you, and you understand his anxiety better now. You can also share your own past life experiences on this forum, on different sections.

I hope you like it here, and please don't mind the maintenance break. We'll be back in action soon. :)
