Past Life Memory Of A Scribe

Hi There!

Here's a story of one of my flashbacks.I haven't researched anything so I will try to remember the flashback so to speak.

I am a young man. Mideast..Perhaps Roman or Egyptian(if that's possible). I am not too sure. I am sitting down putting marks onto something(not on paper but something thicker). I might had been a scribe or someone recording information. I was what might be considered a clerk of some sort. Beaucratic in nature and very busy. I was definately bored and overwhelmed.

Several women or men are behind me talking (gossiping?) about someone who I now know to have been Jesus of Nazareth or his apostles. I don't remember what name that they used. It seems to be current..though. As if they were maybe still alive. They were talking about some of his or their philosophies or deeds but in a simple manner. They seemed to be very excited. I remember putting down my writing instrument and I started to listen with increasing joy.
I remember thinking...Is it possible that someone thinks that way? Excitement grew in me...a feeling of hope...a radical change in thinking was in the air. The feeling that remained in me was.. a sense of simple joyous wonderment.

I am sorry that I am using all of these adjectives but how can you descibe the delight of a childlike feeling.

By the way..I am currently a Greek Orthodox in this lifetime but my spirituality is quite eclectic to say the least.

Thank you for reading this. I would like it if someone has any information about that timeframe to share their experiences. Helena

Hi There!

I thought that I should add this as a strange side note.

I always had this wierd relationship with pencils since I was a child. I had to have a pencil with a usable eraser. If I was using a pencil that had an eraser that was very low..I would literally break the pencil in half. I can't to this day...use or see a pencil with a non usable eraser. I have to fight the urge to break it. I figured out that I was afraid to hear the sound of using an eraser that might make a screeching noise. Strange indeed.

Today...I had some time to google ancient writing tools of scribes or recorders. Well...can I tell you that my stomach lurched when I saw them. Suddenly..I heard the sound of the screeching of the writing tools resonate through my body.

Obviously...I must had not liked the work that I was doing...Who knows? I must meditate on this some day.

Past recollection can be a bit draining at times. I will leave this at another time.

Thank you for reading this...Helena

Hi Helena,

I hope to post some information for you this evening - since our moderators are currently real busy. Thank you for sharing - I look forward to talking with you.

Thank you for sharing your memories, Helena. :)

I find it very interesting how a scribe resonates so strongly with you. In one of my past lives, my mother and aunt were teaching me how to make Jewish Aramaic incantation bowls. The writing inside - was the most fascinating part of the memory for me - and finding existing validation of the symbols was amazing.

It would be interesting to see if you can meditate with the intention of seeing more of the work you were doing. It might be worth finding the symbols - always a good form of validation, and it can lead to more memory triggers.

Scribes in many cultures were esteemed. Do you feel your contribution/work was significant at the time? You mentioned being overwhelmed - which makes me curious exactly what you were writing!

I also find your “thing” with pencils interesting - I wonder if that has something to do with a specific tool used for inscription. Do you have a link to any of the tools? It would be neat to see them. Sometimes that “lurch” you described happens to me when something resonates strongly - usually in my solar plexus. I’ve learned to trust it ;)

I’m interested in hearing more and hope you’ll share when something new comes up!

Hi There!

Hereis a good site for writing tools that mean anything to me. I am very computer limited so I don't know how to join one website from another.

I believe that I might had used the wooden one..plus the metal type. But a bit more primitive. I don't think that I was as esteemed as a scribe. I was pretty young..around early to mid twenties. A lowly clerk so to speak.

I think that these writing tools can be lethal. Saying this in a very small voice...I might had died from one of those tools if that is at all possible. Might explain my fear. Unsolved Roman Murder Mystery...anyone. Ha!

Thank you for reading this. Helena

Hi Helena,

I edited the link for you :) .

I find your memory fascinating. The feelings you got when remembering you were at work, and the overhearing of the 'gossip' that gave you joy and hope...!

Did you try to meditate further on this memory? I would love to hear an update if you have any !

I also found these memories fascinating, so when you have updates or something to add, Helena, I hope you'll post more. :)

Hi There!

Hmmm..Dealing with real life stuff. I haven't meditated on anything on this really. I just post flashbacks. Though...Thanks for the comments! Helena

Hi Bluegreen,

I do remember that time. I thought you might enjoy reading this post.

It is just everyday life - in Judea at the time - for me. Have you had time to do any more meditations?
