Hello, everyone!
I'm new to the site but have long felt that I have had past lives but had not started exploring until recently. I'm not 100% sure why I had not [explored] until now but I'm here now.
I have a memory of walking thru what I think is a cornfield or perhaps a wheat field. I'm wearing a long skirt and a white blouse with ruffly cuffs. I'm wearing a bonnet because when I look down I can see the straps from them hanging down. Its flowered. I get to a stream and look upstream but don't see anyone. I am apprently looking for someone but I'm not sure who this person is to me in that life. I don't know if he's my husband or my father. I don't know my age either. I look downstream and see a man sitting on a large rock. He's wearing a straw hat and overhalls smoking a pipe. I must've called to him because he turns around and looks at me. when he turns around, he is my father in this life. whoa. I've heard of family members being related or at least knowing each other in a previous life so could this scenerio be possible for me?

My dad and I were always very close and my mom says that to this day she has to look at me twice sometimes to see who she's talking to. She says that we will be having a conversation and she'll say something expecting one reaction but I'll say something totally different. She says that I am the image of my father. Oh sure...my brothers "look" like dad but that I act like daddy, too. If daddy had been born a twin, I'd think that I was the twin reincarnated but as far as I know, that isn't the case.

Suggestions? Thoughts? Ideas? I am contemplating PL regression as well but want to read a few books on the subject. thanks for responding!
 
Nancy thankyou for sharing your PL memory with us, we are always delighted to read about these experiences. I have had several PL memories, the most recent two being 1926 to 1953 as a young woman in WW II Germany, and before that, I was Ginny in Louisville, KY 1856 to 1920. I can relate to your life because of the bonnet, I had some flashbacks to my PL as Ginny where I was wearing bonnets. I only wore them as a young girl, when I was older I wore more fashionable hats that ladies of the time wore. This is why I think perhaps your past life was in that same time frame, in Virginia or Kentucky, around the 1850's or 1860's. I do remember from my past life as Ginny that we had a horse farm, and my parents were killed by some bad soldiers during the Civil War conflict, then I had to go to an orphanage with my younger brother. Later, I lived in a hotel in Louisville and met a gambling man, a high stakes poker player. I do know from the bonnet that you must have lived during the same time, perhaps somewhere not far from where I lived.

Thanks for sharing, it sounds like your memory could be from a past life, did it come to you in a dream? a spontaneous flashback? maybe through meditation? Often, a good indicator of a past life memory is when it comes with strong emotion attached, that can stay with you for days after. This can be intense sadness, happiness, fear etc.


To reincarnate within the same family is a common occurrence, and there are some great examples of this in Carol Bowman's second book: Return From Heaven: Beloved Relatives Reincarnated Within Your Family


Past life regression is one of many methods that you can use to remember your past lives, but it is never guaranteed to work for everyone and may take a few attempts. Here are a couple of links that you may find helpful:

 
I've bought so many books on past lives that I think I might have bought one book twice! I usually give them away when I'm done devouring the stories. It's very therapeutic.
