Question about Reincarnation and Miscarriages

Trying to determine exactly when the soul attaches is splitting moral hairs in my opinion. The point is as Chelle mentioned that the body has been "spoken for". I like that phrase.

I am most assuredly NOT a "hardcore anti-abortionist". To each her own I say. It's the individual woman's decision (or should be anyway) but on a personal level I would have chosen that any child I fathered be born alive but that has not always been my decision.

I,too,am uncertain on exactly WHEN the soul enters the body, but I thought I'd share my own personal experiance here. I have a 10-year old daughter, and for a few years before getting pregnant with her, I used to "see" a blond,round-faced little baby girl, sometimes in dreams, sometimes just "flashes"; before I got pregnant w/ her, I was pregnant & misscarried, all the while "seeing" the image of the blond baby. When I finally had her, she looked EXACTLY like my visions. The same thing happened with my 2-year-old son, only on a much more intense scale. I "saw" him for years before I even met my husband, and even told several people that I would have a blond, blue eyed little boy soon. The first time I again miscarried ,before having my son. As soon as we moved into this house,I started seeing a blond, blue eyed little boy peering at me over the bannister of the stairs... and kept telling everyone about him!! I got pregnant the first month living here. I wonder if maybe the times I miscarried, the children just decided to "wait", & come back when the time was right or when they were ready. Both children seem very sensitive, seeming to read my mind at times... I truly believe I knew them somewhere sometime Before... wish I could discover WHEN!!!

Hmmm
I'm not convinced that there is a standard time.
I'm reading The Holotropic Mind by Stanislav Grof MD (granted only in the beginning) who discusses his use of a technique called Holotropic Breathwork to achieve a non-ordinary state of consciousness to regress to pre birth (and past lives etc.) He gives an example fairly close to the beginning of his own regression and remembering existing in a liquid ocean (amneotic fluid) and being at one with the universe - it is very interesting. His overall point is not about when the soul enters the body - but about his work in Transpersonal Psychology. It gave me evidence that the soul sure did (at least in his caase) enter the fetus early on - and that he was able to regress and remember it. This is something that I do ponder. I suppose the only way to really find out (for yourself) is to find a person trained in this type of regression.

Littlemoon,
very controversial, interesting subject. i think a soul enters the body at differnet times... sometimes prior to birth, soemtimes years after birht... but i personally find abortions wrong. not that they won't happen or anything... but especially when they are killed right before birth...i think if you don't want a baby in the first place, then use contraceptives. it'll be interesting what others say.
As for pre birth memories... i have breif memories of being in the womb. All of it is peaceful, dark, warm... i think it's from my most recent life that it's strongest....

Hi,
I am pregnat at the moment and I didn't feel that there was a soul, present in the fetus in the beginning of the pregnacy. Of course there was a soul intended for my baby, but it wasn't inside me yet. It feels funny to think of the fetus living and moving when the soul is somewhere else, but I think the fetus borrows energy from the mother when the soul isn't around. I can't really understand how this works, but in the beginning the fetus felt "empty" and now it doesn't.

I can't really say when I started to feel that the soul was there, maybe on and off from about the sixth month. Now I think it is there most of the time. I don't try to sense if the soul is there all the time, just occationally.

Chelle refered to Helen Wambach's research and she writes about it in a book called Life before Life, if I am not misstaken. She did regressions with about 700 subjects in that book and as Chelle pointed out the moment differed in different people's regressions.

Third miscarriage

Hello everyone, i am new here.... Very interesting site and i am happy i've found it!
I have a question about miscarriage... One of my friends was about 10 weeks pregnant and she just found out that the baby is dead... It is the third time she has a miscarriage.... She is 40 years old and have no children yet... Doctors don't seem to know what is wrong with her if something is wrong at all... She wants to have kids and don't understand why she is being "punished"... I've tried to talk to her and "open her mind" about spiritism, live after death, reincarnation, etc... But she seems to be really lost and doesn't know in what to believe. How can i help her? Any ideas?

oh my miscarriage. I lost my first child. It was very early in the pregnancy, so early the only detection besides the at home tests was the blood test I had to have to confirm the pregnancy. I have often wondered about that pregnancy. I did get pregnant a few month later with twins. It was a whirlwind of emotion. I do not believe that child is either one of my girls.

Every woman deals with miscarriage differently, I am not even sure if i will ever get over it, but having my girls has helped alot.

Hi fab,

Welcome to the forum! I am sorry for the loss of your friend's baby. It's so difficult to watch people we care about struggle with grief and feelings of despair.

I think that you are helping her, just by being a kind and considerate friend. Continue showing her kindness and love, and be there for her when she needs someone to lean on...as you have been doing. It is nothing that your friend has done wrong, nor is she being "punished". It is difficult to talk to someone about spiritualistic ideals when their pain is so raw, and fresh. Perhaps give her a little more time before attempting to share your knowledge with her. ;)

Has your friend considered adoption? My cousin and her husband tried for seven years to have a biological child. After several miscarriages and an ectopic pregnancy, they became foster parents, then decided on adoption, and were blessed with two little boys. Three years after that, my cousin became pregnant and delivered their third son. I've found that it's not uncommon for women to deliver a biological child after adopting. Just a thought. :)

Hi AILISH, adoption would be a good ideia for her but she believes that the child could have a "evil hereditary personality" or something like that... I can't even believe she can think like that... She does need a lot of help...

Hmmm, I would tend to disagree then that adoption would be a good choice for your friend. Parents need to be open and accepting of the children they receive, and willing to love them unconditionally. There are no guarantees with adopted or biological children that hereditary factors (even from many generations ago) will not play a part in that child's genetic make-up. It's unfortunate that your friend feels as she does. There are so many little ones who need a loving home.

I apologize in advance for the long post.

As a sixteen year old, my practices were not always, shall we say, the most responsible. They never are at that age, are they? Before I went on birth control, I knew I was pregnant. I guess I had what one might call an announcing dream, if I understand properly what one is.

I dreamt I was in a black and grey fog. My boyfriend (at that time) was facing me, then turned and walked away. I turned around and saw a baby hovering in front of me. It was all red, but not like creepy horror movie red. More like, a child had colored it with a red crayon. It said "momma" and then I woke up.

Later that week, I felt what one might call a quickening inside me. I just knew that there was life inside of me, I never even took a pregnancy test. I didn't have to. I spoke my fears to my boyfriend, who insisted there was no way I could be pregnant. I was living overseas at the time (I was an army brat) in a country where abortions are not legal. I would've had to go on a trip across the border to get one, which was not an option for me.

Two months later, I was still noticing my tummy getting just a little bit bigger, even though I'd all but stopped eating and was exercising more than ever.

Boyfriend and I had a fight over my possible pregnancy. He didn't want me to get a test at the clinic; I guess if we never heard the words then in his mind it wouldn't be real. I said to him, "I'll just have me a little miscarriage, since the last thing I need right now is your ******* child anyway!" We sort of made up, and went to bed. I would often take the last bus to his house, spend the night, and take the first bus home in the morning.

While I was passed out, I had the same dream again. Boyfriend turned away, gray fog, red baby.

This time the baby said "daddy gone." I realized then that the child was referring to its father's emotional abandonment. And that really had been the beginning of the end of that relationship.

I nodded to my baby, and began to cry. "You just can't come yet!" I said. "I can't do what I have to do.

It looked pensive, and said "OK," and disappeared.

Then I woke up with terrible abdominal pains. I began to sob. Boyfriend woke up, held me, and noticed the sheets were wet on my side. He turned on the lamp, saw blood.

"There you go," he said triumphantly. "You got your period."

I nodded and stumbled down the hall to get a tampon out of the box that I kept in his bathroom.

I sat on the toilet to finish what was happening, and when I was done I could see just the smallest lump of tissue among the blood. I said goodbye to my child, thanked it for understanding. I never, ever told Boyfriend what really happened. I flushed the toilet and went back to bed fter having changed the sheets. When he asked why I was still crying, I told him my menstrual cramps were espescially bad.

I still hear that little spirit sometimes. It will ask me, "Time yet?" and I shake my head. "Not now," I whisper. "But not much longer." I can still feel my child waiting. And loving me as I love him. He will be born a boy, I think.

((((((((Serene)))))))))

Thank you for sharing your story. What a difficult experience to go through at such a young age. It's amazing how much some souls want to be with us, isn't it? My friend had an abortion about 4 years ago, and the night after the procedure she dreamed of a beautiful little girl who came to her and told her that it was okay, and she would be back. My friend now has an adorable 11 month old daughter. When she was born my friend felt this was the same little soul who had returned to her as she had promised :D No doubt when the time is right, your little guy will be ready and waiting to make his appearance :)

Yes, it was painful. I have carried that burden for years. Nobody in my life knows that it happened, it's just a private thing. I am not sure anybody in my life would understand all that went on. It is comforting though, to know that these little spirits wait for us, wait until the time is right.I believe that the same happens with mothers who choose to terminate pregnancies. The souls just wait for the next time, and try again.

Sometimes, I have to stop myself from talking about "my son". I can already feel him, and I feel like I know what he will look like and how he will behave and speak. I know that like me, he will be moody and prone to emotional outbursts. For all intents and purposes, I am a mother. My child is still just waiting to be brought to the world.

Oh my!

Serene, dear heart, I'm probably going to get in a lot of trouble here, but Serene, Sweetie, why are you torturing yourself with this story about a miscarraige of which you have no confirmation?

Life is full of too many awful realities to make up miseries which may or may not have existed. Dreams such as the ones you had more often are caused by fears in the subconscious mind, in your case perhaps due to your experimenting with sex at such an early age.

Did you not have menses for two months? If that is true then perhaps you were pregnant but there are cases in the psychiatric literature of women who have what is called a psuedo-pregnancy, who stop menstruating and whose abdomen increases in size when there is no pregnancy or pathological condition, all due to psychological issues of fear.

Perhaps this "memory" should be put in the back of your mind with all of the other questionable issues we encounter. Save your energy for the real problems which you will have as you go through life. Don't carry this story with you for the rest of your life. It may be just your imagination.

Fascinating thread. I'd go along with elese and Chelle - the soul enters at different times.

I'd go along with the possibility of a soul entering at conception, at the 'quickening', at any time towards birth, and indeed during any time during early childhood.

Today, watching the Discovery channel with my daughter Monika (herself convinced of reincarnation since childhood), there was some footage of Leon Trotsky. "He looks like John Lennon in a past life," she joked. Turns out that Trotsky was murdered in August 1940, John Lennon born in October 1940.

She pointed out a similar time gap between the death of Galileo and the birth of Isaac Newton.

Hmmm... :)

Also have had miscarriages..

hi - I have had two miscarriages as well - one child I was able to see in my dreams was a boy, then the second one - never came to me..I finally found out what was causing my miscarriages..I have something called anticardiolipins, something that they (drs, ect) are learning about - but its like this - my body thinks its a virus like a cold and eventually throws the fetus out..I lost both of mine 8-10 weeks along..There is medication you can take and it helps because last October I found out I was expecting again, I was ever scared each month till we heard its heartbeat...This June 1 - I had a health baby boy - I feel he could be the baby I never seen in my dreams(the second baby I had miscarried) - he came through as this child...I hope this makes sense..I am so sorry for the ones whom miscarriaged..I feel your pain. Your in my thoughts & prayers..~ Karen : angel

miscarriage

Serene: Thank you so much for your story. My daughter lost a baby last August. She was about ten weeks pregnant. She and her husband were devastated, and so was I but I had to be strong for her. That child was and still is in my heart. I felt a little girl, and I miss her so badly. I hope she will come back to us someday. My daughters toy poodle, Penny, who is 14 years old, almost died with a heart attack 2 weeks ago. She wasn't ready to go yet, and I know this because she told me. But she also told me that when she does go, she will be my grandchild's dog. Please don't think I am crazy. Sometimes I think I am. I haven't told anyone else this.

Hi KMTangels,

Welcome to the forum. Thank you for sharing the story of your own losses with us. It's wonderful that you feel your little one came back to you. Congratulations on the birth of your son! :)

Nora, I'm sorry for the loss of your granddaughter. It must have been a difficult time for your family. They are lucky to have you to help them through. Hopefully she'll be back soon ;) As for Penny, I don't think you're crazy at all :D We have very special connections to our animal friends.

Hi Serene

I am very sorry for your loss, and at the same time happy you are able to retain your connection to your son. Although I was not aware of what was going on at the time I lost my son, the event was similar. I am very fortunate to be able to develop a wonderful relationship with him and the sisters that I also miscarried. I miscarried multiple times because I am RH negative. There are also a couple of spirit children who have adopted me.

My children are planning to return as my grandchildren. Some are planning to return as twins ... I hope my oldest is up to it .... lol.

It really is true as my mother says ... it doesn't matter how children come to us, they are here to love. I love them all :)

How does miscarriage fit into reincarnation?

Hi there,

My name is Amanda and I'm new to the forum.

My first, of undoubtedly many questions to come, is this:

What is your opinion(s) of how a miscarriage fits into reincarnation, if at all?

I have wanted to have a baby and was told that it would be difficult for me to do so due to a medical syndrome called PCOS. I became pregnant in April and was told in May that I was pregnant. I was probably four weeks along when I was told the pregnancy was ectopic (embryo was growing inside my fallopian tube). I had an injection that resulted in the death of the embryo. I was just curious to know if there was a reason/purpose for this to happen?

I appreciate your responses.

Thank you,

Amanda

Hi Amanda,

Welcome. Very sad for you that you are having trouble with your pregnancy. As the others have said, some medical problems have certainly been found to have past life reasons.

Do you have any inklings of your own about this that might lead you to think this would be the case? Do you remember anything that might be pertinent and you wish to share?

If you have exhausted 'straight' medical approaches, you might find alternatives such as past life regression worth pursuing. You never know. Best of luck with it all.

Hi Amanda,

What is your opinion(s) of how a miscarriage fits into reincarnation, if at all?
It does very commonly happen that a new physical body does not contain what is necessary to sustain its life. A comforting knowledge is that in such cases (as in many cases of the loss of a baby, whether newborn or not), the same intending Soul/Spirit will very probably reincarnate in a next pregnancy... ;)

Just a funny:

I remember reading a book called before I got here in which a 2 year old was talking to her mother and apparently the mother and father had gone thru several miscarriages. So the two year said to the mother don't worry mom, next time we are going to use some tape.

The parents had never discussed the issue with the toddler.

Hi Amanda and Welcome!

sorry about your miscarriage. I can only imagine the pain and disappointment you have gone through!

As far as your question goes, I think there is a logical explanation (although many cases vary). This is only my opinion, but I think in some instances, the baby simply decides it is not ready, or changes in life goals/paths/situations have to be reevaluated. Basically, something needs to be changed before they commit to the mission. This is my opinion because I believe that I was supposed to be the boy my mother miscarried a year or so before I was born, but instead changed my plans and realized I was not ready for boyhood (I am very much female!). In my case, I staid in a similar situation but changed some major details.

So if I were you, I would not give up hope that you won't have a child. I think there is a good chance that the child you were supposed to have will end up in your life, whether in another pregnancy or adoption, or some other way.

I wish you good luck though and hope it all works out for the best! hope my thoughts helped some!

Hello Amanda and welcome! :)

I'm sorry to hear about your difficulties. :( Sometimes things like that can be past life related, and it might be a good idea to try and remember if you've had similar problems in a past life - if you're willing to explore. Remembering might release some blockages.

Fortunately it's possible to have a child, even if you can't reproduce biologically.

Don't worry about the unborn children. If a soul has already chosen the miscarried body, they'll just wait for another opportunity, I believe. They won't vanish. :)

I hope you find this forum a safe and friendly place. Wishing you luck with starting a family!
