I've always had a fascination of identical twins. My grandmother and great aunt were identical, and there were two sets of identical twins in my class in school.
Some years back I met a women, and we'd "clicked" the moment we met. We never had much chance to get together and learn more about each other because she worked, and had a big family, and little time of her own.
Yet when I'd feel down in the dumps, or other emotions, she'd call and say she felt I needed her. I'd pick up on things and later learn she'd experienced what I'd picked up on. We'd even pick up on each others unexpected physical pains, once when she was in another state, and I believe her husband had punched her. I'd suddenly felt a searing pain in my cheekbone, and up and down the whole side of my face. He'd later explained her absence by telling me she'd ran into an open door and blacked her eye and bruised the whole side of her face.
We were so surprised by all of this and wondered if we'd been twins in another life. She died in '99. I think of her often, and yesterday I had this thought -
When identical twins are born, do they have individual souls, or might it be possible for a soul to split as the egg had, and a half would go to each twin.
And if that were the case, when both twins died, would the half souls then reunite and become one again. I think it's an interesting theory.
