It's true that Gurreri is a variant of the name Guerrera, or Guerrero, but assuming that the Gurreri's still speak Italian(?) I think it's more likely that Lisbet was a descendant of the migrant Guerra's, who sailed to the 'New World' from Spain in 1511

The suffix -a usually refers to feminine in Spanish, but may denote also a profession.


Word "Guerrero" means literally a soldier or warrior. "Guerrera" would be feminine of that, and does not make sense. "Herrera" means a blacksmith.


On pronunciation issue: pronouncing 'c' before e, i and y as "th" and 'z' everywhere as "th" is a Continental Spanish phenomenon. It is pronounced that way even today, and it is the historical linguistics phenomenon from Ibero-Roman stem language breaking up into Spanish, Catalan, Portuguese and Gallego.
