Results of a Meditation in 2008

I put on the Divine Name CD, which always gives me the best results in meditation. It didn't take long before I started getting images, I was even surprised at how quickly it was.

The first scene I saw was of two little girls, age 7-8, who just came out of a house. We ran through the garden - we were supposed to walk on the path in the garden, but instead we ran through the cabbage field...naughty little girls. Behind the garden there was a meadow. We wanted to chase butterflies, but it was already too late in the year for the butterflies, so instead we started picking some flowers and grass with seeds I was wearing a checkered longsleeved dress, and the other girl was wearing a dark grey jumper with a checkered blouse underneath it - the same material as my dress.

Another scene : We were walking in a wood, accompanied by an adult. The woman had a large basket in which she was gathering pine cones and branches for the fire. The other girl (my twin sister? and I) both had a smaller basket, for gathering acorns, for pig food (for our own pigs, or to be sold, I don't know). We were also looking for some late berries, that we could eat right away.

Next scene : A meal at the house. It was a very large room we were in, with wooden walls and a wooden or earthen floor. We were sitting at a large heavy wooden table, a rough one, not nicely polished. There were at least 12 or 14 people sitting around the table. There was a large pot with potatoes mashed together with cabbage, and another pot with meat. I didn't like the meat, it looked dark and there were mushrooms (?) in the sauce. There was also bread. We had folded our hands in prayer, but I was not concentrated on the prayer, I was sniffing the lovely smell of the potatoes, I was really hungry I guess. After praying, mother (?) put a large wooden spoon in the potatoes and gave everyone a portion. Our plates were also made of wood.

After dinner (I guess), I saw father (?) sitting on a wooden chair reading a newspaper. On the other side of the room was a fireplace, but it was not lit. Next to it sat an old woman with white hair and a shawl on her head, also on a wooden chair. She stood up, using a cane. I saw her legs and feet were swollen very much. I heard a dog bark outside. We were then allowed to play outside. Two boys (our brothers?) were chasing a cat. One of them wore a black ribbled velvet pants just below his knees and a grey cap on his head that was somewhat too big.
My sister and I went outside, each found a small wooden stick and pretended fighting. Suddenly a grown up girl (a big sister?) came outside, and slapped the sticks out of our hands and then slapped both of us in the face and ran back inside. We were astonished and also went back inside and saw her crying with her kitchen apron drying her tears. (I then knew someone she loved very much was killed in a knife fight).

Last scene : My sister and me are pulling a cart with a T-shaped handle. It is loaded with wooden utensils, bowls and plates and cups etc. In front of us walks another male family member (father?) leading a cart - pulled by a dog - that is filled with cheese. I think it is sheep or goat cheese, because it smells a lot. We arrive at the market, where another family member (big brother?) is already setting up a stand. It is made of supports with a large wooden plate on it, and on top of it he spreads a cream coloured rough looking cloth.

I think these are all scenes from the same life.

Thanks for sharing those memories Eevee :)

Can you remember anything else about the garden/house? Any idea what time period it was, location etc? And do you recognize anyone from that life, who may know you in your present life?

Thank you for asking, Chris. I still have those scenes clearly in my mind, and I have a feeling this was a life in Ireland or one of the islands nearby.

As for the timeframe, I am not sure. Although we did seem to be a large farmer family, we probably were not illiterate (father was reading a newspaper).

We must have lived in an area where pinetrees and oak trees grew. I guess there was a lot of wood, keeping in mind all the wooden utensils I saw, and the wooden plates and wooden spoon. I also have a faint memory of smoothing the wooden goods (with sand or something).

I suppose the meadow behind the garden was also the grazing ground for the goats or sheep which gave us the cheese.

Cabbage and potatoes seemed to be the common food, I had a feeling we ate that a lot.

And in fact, I am almost certain the (twin) sister I had then, is a friend I met on the internet, but we never met IRL. I am also aware of one other life of mine, where she also appeared, although in that one I probably was not so close to her, but I was with her mother when she was born, and I was about the same age as her mother.

Just curious, what Divine Name CD do you have? I looked online, but there are 2 different ones. Thought I might try a new one. Thanks! ;0)
