Several past lives at once?

Is it possible to see several past lives at once?

Was doing meditation today just to calm my mind and relax. And suddenly I started to see the pictures. Or more, it all looked like a badly edited movie to me - bits and pieces from different environments and eras.

I do not say that those were from my past lives, although two of them are still haunting me.

I am sorry if this topic has been up before (would be more than thankful for any links&directions)

Hello Lilly, a belated welcome to you.

I've not heard too much of people seeing multiple past lives at once, but that's not to say it couldn't happen. We each have our own ways of discerning past lives and meditation is one that works for many people. If your meditation was centered on past lives I would guess they have some relevance to your past... multiple or not. Good luck in their pursuit. Blessings.

Welcome Lily,

I suggest you read Michael Talbot's book -"The Holographic Universe." He explains it very well, and in easy to understand language.

Dreams sometimes give us clues and way back in July of 2000 I had two that really helped me understand what your asking. So, I thought I would share.

7/02/2000. The following is my dream....'fragment' I might add.

I was not in a specific time or place. I was in a void. I was not a solid form made of 'matter.' I was a vibration -- pure energy --pure consciousness. I reached out to touch a TIME fragment when I realized I was warping time to do so. I realized upon doing so that time was really a HOLOMOVEMENT, a fragmentation of ALL there is.

THEN -

Five days later and probably due to my own thousand questions I found myself with another dream that SHOWED me even more! I was in a past life - I was stepping out of a horse drawn carriage as a young woman. As I stepped out I noticed pieces of my reality which seemed to be shattered in fragments surrounding me -floating in space all around me!

Each fragment was of a perceived PAST LIFE of mine -- they appeared as pieces of shattered glass only fluid and each contained full color images with what appeared to be little movies going on inside of them. Each fragment was a hologram and was a whole unto itself. The oddest of 'knowings' was I aware of each fragment. In the dream I could reach out and touch them -- each contained all of my memories -- YET EACH FRAGMENT was actively participating in the present moment. IN the NOW.

Each fragment was beyond time and space as we know it. As I emerged from the carriage I became aware that my consciousness was within one of these small fragments, only enlarged because I was experiencing it as my NOW.

BUT -if my attention, my consciousness was focused on another fragment -- I entered into that space, it would enlarge and I would be in that present moment -- in that "NOW." In that PAST LIFE.

I hope this helps and - bottom-line, read Talbot's book, he does a great job explaining it.

Hi, Lilly!

Yes, it's normal. At least that's what happened to me, especially at the beginning. My first flashes doing self-hypnosis with a recording, were from 2-3 past lives. They were short, but totally different: for example I would see myself in the same regression as a young man in the Old West, as some kind of Scottish warrior, and then as a woman with a long dress, Victorian-style. It was quite confusing, and of course at the beginning I wasn't sure if it was all my imagination or just little snippets I'd seen somewhere else.

With time each of these past lives started to develop, some more than others. First the ones that were "easier" to assimilate. When I had more experience, say a year or so, the content of the images grew in importance and in depth, little by little. Trust your own mind, usually it knows more than us.

I've had a couple come at me at the same time. It was kinda like changing the tv channel. Ancient Egypt, click, Roman Army, click, back to Egypt. I have a better understanding of both now, but that first view was kinda trippy.

Thank you for all your replies. I will definetly take a look at this book.

It was all just so sudden and unexpected. So we will see what life will bring and if I will manage to take a deeper look on all that some day. It could give me some answers ;)

Especially because in the first and also the strongest vision I had really strong connection with the sea. And also in the present life, sea is important for me. But at the same time I have had dreams (and it is also one of my strongest fears) of drowning in the middle of the sea. Not near the shore but in the middle...

Another question...is it possible to see event from the past life as a spirit? In the sense that you were dead/absent already while it happened but you still saw it? Or it is too much?

You may have been "out of body" and observing from above or outside of your body. The soul is reported to leave the body a split second or more before sudden death. That's why people report there was no pain when they died.

If you mean you were seeing yourself from the outside, and you were already dead (or nearly dead), no, it's not too much. Like Argonne says this could be because you went out of your body in a traumatic death, to avoid pain... or maybe you lingered for some time in the astral realm after your death, just to make sure your loved ones were alright or something in the style. I have memories of being floating in the air while my body drop to the floor in a helicopter accident. And I also have memories of visiting the morgue some time afterwards (as a spirit of course :D ) when my wife and son went to say goodbye. I could see my own corpse on a metal tray, though in the memory I didn't get too close to it. This kind of memories are not rare at all.

Thanks again for your replies! Just trying to understand what I saw during the meditation and if it could have been connected to my past life experiences or not, before letting things go for some time until something else will pop up :)

As I wrote, I saw some kind of movie. And funny thing is that in all those episodes, point of view was pretty much different. In first vision I got, I understood that this little girl I see is me and in fact, some of the things I saw through her eyes.

But...in other vision, I saw myself flying above the city and I saw it in ruins. And I could fly through all the houses (which were totally destroyed and I could tell that freshly bombed) and I suddenly thought "My children!"

And then I saw photos of my daughter and my son. Daughter was in her teens and my son was around 8 yrs old and he had orange monkey in his hands. It is funny because colours were faded but monkey was bright orange! And then next thing I see...is my children lying between ruins but alive. But I could see such sadness in their eyes as they want to just give up on all?

I saw other visions and then I saw a man. In colours. Lying also between ruins. And with nasty, dirty smile on his face. You know, the one villains usually have? Mad smile? And this vision of him was not separate, it was just on the top of others. It was so disturbing that I decided to get out of the meditation.

Sorry for the long post but just...although this kind of dreams, even with negative emotions are really common for me and etc but never considered that any of those could be related to PL experience. I am not even sure that those are. About first one pretty much but the rest...

I think, that negative emotions are more remerkable and it is easier to recall memory connected with them. Negative emotions are just stronger - it is the result of evolution, we know the situations, which have negative influence on ourselves and learn, thanks to them, how to avoid them. Today I started to meditate and had to fight my tears, although no picture had reached to my brain yet. If you try to recall memory, you have to be prepared for strong emotions.

Could you describe that man? Maybe he was your husband?

I would say that he was around 27-30 years old. Brown hair with hint of red in them. Rather weird haircut (his bangs were cut straight and were straight) and rest of the hair were rather long. Big smile. His clothes were brown (do not remember the details unfortunatelly).

I did not feel that I had strong connection with him. He was rather unpleasent to me, I really disliked him. It can compared I think to the person who is just not letting you live your life and putting his nose all the time in it (if you understand).

Funny thing is that I saw all three persons (my two kids and him) between the same ruins. Location of the walls which were under and on them was really similar. It was like he was suddenly instead of them. Do not even know what to think about it...

And about negative emotions, I am kind of prepared, I think. I remember many of my dreams, and nearly all of them are rather disturbing (killing someone, getting killed and etc.) so...

So... he was an opresson, right? Had you known him before? Do you know anything about his motivations, plans and what has he done, finally? Ugh, difficult questions, I know, but talking about it can help to remember more, as I think.

Ender, thank you for your questions! I do not know, yet, answers to all of them.

Yes he was oppression. I feel that he was part of my everyday life but not by my choice but his. I feel that I had to be nice to him, because he had some power and strong connections and I was, even if I tried to keep it as neutral as possible. I feel that maybe he had some feelings towards me, or even desire but I had no interest in him. And that it could have drove him mad, and maybe even to revenge - if I do not get what I want, then no one will.

If I think about it now, his face was familiar as well as his attitude. I think I have seen him in some other dreams.

No problem :)

Let me think. Maybe he was your ex or something like that... really mad ex. And crazy. Do you think, that he was a reason of destroying that building? Was he at your age?

It has to be a horrible memory.

I have many occasion where this has happened too

me. I thought I was only one.

There are times where I remember my 20's

life for moment then my life in 1880's

in the south and my civil war life.

It's too much at times I am getting better

grip on it but, some days I just want to start the day over.

And it's true negative emotion do bring on

stronger memories.

I definitely remember attending my own funeral.

I think most people attend their own funeral. I attended a memorial service for one of my cousins back in June. Right after the service after everyone else had gone into the social hall I took several photos of the church interior. I was interested in their huge pipe organ. Later when I edited the pictures on the computer (they were too dark) I discovered several "orbs" were there. I don't think they were caused by light reflections as there was no glare from anything. If you would like a higher resolution picture, send me a PM.Sanctuary, orb, 100_.jpg

As a past life regression therapist who's conducted tens of thousands of regressions, I can tell you that most people attend their funeral - if they have one. They tell me all about it. It's simply a place where they symbolically gain closer as a human being.
