Sight of woman pulls on heartstring

gettinglucky

Probationary
What does it mean when you catch glimpses of a woman (in a non-oogling way) you've barely met, but is attracted to, that alone pulls on your heartstring (literally)? (Note: Has never happened with any other woman before).

Does it mean that:

A) She's broken your heart in a past life?

B) She's your soulmate?

C) You're seeking unfulfilled approval from her?

Please note that this has only ever happened with this woman.

Hi Gettinglucky! And, a warm welcome to the Forum!

Regarding your question, it is understood that I don't know very much about your particular situation, so any answer would have to be taken very generally and with a very large grain of salt. I'm not psychic, so here goes:

All of the above: A), B), and C).

Or, none of the above.

I have met countless people during this sojourn of my life, and some of those people have had an immediate effect in one way or another. Some I have been surprisingly accurate about. And some, I have been dreadfully wrong about. But, if there is one thing I have learned over the years; it's that one should not bet their lives and fortunes strictly on first intuitions.

I have often warned my sons about such attractions by saying, "Be careful of those you are magically attracted to, for it may be about unfinished business!". Maybe that's why my boys are still single in their 30's.

Lol, Nightrain, just think of all the trouble your sons may have avoided by staying single......

I've started thinking I should change my name to Karma if I ever start dating again, I think it would be an awesome name.

Getting Lucky, I think I'd put the instant attraction feelings aside and look at her like you would just anyone else you'd date. Do you have similar interests, goals, etc. I've heard of people instantly falling in love and it working out, but if it is a past life attraction, there could be waayyy more to it than love.

Hi gettinglucky, and welcome.

I think Nightrain1 has hit the nail on the head when he says:

"Be careful of those you are magically attracted to, for it may be about unfinished business!".

Chances are, most of the people you will meet during your life may be from your own soul group. It necessarily follows that you will react to them in various ways of recognition. In this particular case, you are strongly attracted to one entity in particular, and the reason is usually karmic in origin.

It may be that you and this woman have karma between you that needs to be resolved, but take care, what may start out as a bed of roses could well end up being a briar of thorns.

There are many possibilities. It could be you were partners in a previous sojourn, or even loved relatives, but being attracted now and making, say, a marriage out of it, may be a hard way to resolve the situation. There would be some 20 or 30 entities in your life who could fill the same role. Follow your instincts, and your guidance.

Good luck

Regards

Thanks for all your welcomes. #G^H And I'll be sure to keep "Be careful of those you are magically attracted to, for it may be about unfinished business!" in mind!

I read something about 'energy vampires' through one of the archived posts and now I'm a little scared. Anyways, we will see how things will turn out...

Hello lucky and welcome to the forum. A similar question was asked a few days ago in this thread called Strange Connection. I think if you are interested in looking at this topic further you might find other threads in the search engine. You might, for instance, check out the threads on soulmates. Thank you again for joining us, I look forward to more discussions with you.

Gettinglucky, Hi There and Welcome to the Forum!

Please make yourself at home and Wishing You the Best!

Hi GettingLucky and welcome.

Yes, I echo what the others have said, it could be all of the above or none of the above. 'Normal' attraction works in mysterious ways and is one of the most powerful human feelings that there is. But if you feel all sort of 'weird and goosebumpy' about this woman, it could certainly be a sign that you've known her before. Now, this could be a good thing or a bad thing - it depends. Meeting up with someone you've known before can be the beginning of a beautiful friendship, or it could be the beginning of a world of drama - or a bit of both more usually!

There are many examples of these sorts of things happening to others on the forum. Sometimes the stories end happily. Sometimes they don't. That's life! A search on 'soul mates' will turn up quite a few of them.

I offer the example of my own story in case it's of interest. Has it been a crazy bumpy ride? Yes. Would I change it or wish it never happened? No.

My friend X

Hi all! I've been here awhile listening, gleaning, and learning but not posting. I just wanted to share an experience on the subject.

About 7 years ago I met a man at a friends funeral. We knew some of the same people but he was from out of state. The attraction was instant and more intense than any I'd ever felt. Turns out it was the same for him. Its like our brains are on the same frequency or something and the physical attraction . . . OMG! Anyhow, we emailed all the time and did phone calls. But the distance prevented it from developing into a romantic relationship. Turns out that was a huge blessing. We have shared thoughts, concerns, heartaches and dreams. There's not been any topic we can't discuss. Sometimes we agree sometimes we don't. Over the years we've had more face to face visits and its amazing how we connect and react to each other, just like that first day. But, we are each others biggest cheerleaders re: other relationships. We've learned how to enjoy this mysterious deep connection without strings or expectations. We still email each week and have the occasional opportunity for real visits but being able to enjoy it on this "spiritual" or whatever level it is has been awesome and I'm so grateful it never turned into a romantic relationship - I may have missed the many things I've learned from this. Maybe I knew him in a PL or maybe not. I kinda think I did tho:D

Hi Popsgirl; and welcome to the Forum!

I sincerely applaud the observation you've arrived at regarding this fellow you met and corresponded with; that love and attraction does not necessarily mean marriage. The beauty of understanding Reincarnation is the realization that we can be understandably attracted to anyone for any reason. That person could be a soul-mate, a former child, parent, grandparent or teacher. If there is purpose to any of these relationships, all can be lost by assuming that it is strictly of a permanent union. Then again, one never knows where it is really intended to go. There is a German saying, "Liebe macht erfinderisch.", which when translated means, "Love laughs at locksmiths." When it comes time for that first passionate embrace, only you can sense, if it is like kissing your own brother. :D

Hi Popsgirl, welcome... thanks for sharing your story. I think you'll find a lot to read on this subject if you haven't already right here on the forum.

For all of you reading this thread and similar ones, I am reading (for the second time!) a great book entitled Twin Souls: Finding Your True Spiritual Partner by Maurie Pressman, MD and Patricia Joudry. Well written and some great information too.

Thanks for the warm welcomes! #G^H

I haven't read much about twin souls so I'll have check that out.

One thing I have found difficult is trying not to compare potential relationships to the one I have with my friend. Once you experience that with someone an "ordinary" relationship feels, well, gray I guess. Flat. But how special(and weird) would it be if we felt that spark with everyone)*(

That's great! I like that. Very true! Love always finds a way, doesn't it? :)
