So, If Regression Feels Like Making It Up...

As a child, I am sure anyone around me would have thought I was day dreaming while I was going through past life memories.

Keep in mind day dreaming is technically a kind of self hypnosis in regards to it being an altered state of consciousness. In my opinion it depends on the daydream.

If you are daydreaming about being your favorite superhero that's just a day dream.

If you are going through what seems like vivid memories or scenes of another time and have specific names and events going on which you could not have known from any modern source around you then there could be a good chance you're dealing with more than pretending something because you are bored.

Growing up I didn't even think about telling anyone about a voice I heard which was familiar to me but not from anyone I knew in person in the city I grew up in. At the time I thought it was whispering in my ear but now I am not sure if that were the case or if it was something I heard from inside.

I do not think it was me from a past life whispering to me but more like a guide or external being of unknown origin, to me anyways.

This normally would happen to me during play time in school (2nd grade) . Instead of playing with the other kids, the voice would start and I would find myself almost like being in two places at the same time. I knew I was in the classroom but at the same time I was "seeing" other events in a few other lifetimes.

Every time I would experience this it would start like a fog and then become clear. Looking back on it now, for what ever reason, the voice was helping to jog these memories.

To keep on topic, I can only speak for my own experience. I think day dreams are ways to relax and re-focus, but sometimes much more than just that.

Welcome to our group Nicodemus. You have just described many of the people here. You have lot's of company and no one here will think you are crazy. We are ready to hear more when you are ready. Don't worry about the length, the more details the better.

Cloacina,

Thank you for sharing your story. It was beautiful to read, especially that in the end she chose to be free in the only way she knew how.
