Son talking another language w/ memories

Mona

New Member
Hi! My son, Jake, is now 6 years old. At age 4 he told of a past life filled with abuse, which I have posted before. The other day Jake came in my room at 5am and was laying down with me when I heard him whispering to himself in what sounded like Japanese (or something oriental, i think). After listening to this for about 15 minutes I asked him who he was talking to and he said "i'm not talking to anyone" so I asked what he was doing and he said, "i'm in rememberance" (this is a word he has never used- rememberence)then he said "eight hundred years ago my soul was in a different place and I was on a mission that was ordered to me by Mikasuki"
As I said at the beginning, Jake has had another past life memory when he was 4. I will quickly retell it for those of you who didn't read it. I'll make it shorter though. He told me of his old mean mom who used to burn him with a 'smoker' and eventually she wrapped him up in the top sheet of the bed and set it on fire and left the room. Jake described the burning feeling on his back and described the pain and then the feeling of peace when his "soul finally left and he died".
Jake also is able to see spirits, so am I. For the first time he told my husband about seeing them. He saw a glare on the wall and told my husband that it looked like the spirits that he sees.
Any suggestions or opinions?
Take care,
Mona

Mona~

I was very interested in your story and i decided to look up "Mikasuki" out of curiosity. What i found wasn't of Japanese origin...apparently there was a tribe of Seminole Indians known as the Mikasuki that were forced out of Florida to Oklahoma sometime in the 1800's. I cant seem to be able to post the link to the artical on this board.

Hope to be of help,

Lanna

Mikasuki appeared in an Indian creation story, located here: http://www.indians.org/welker/creation.htm
One of the pages I checked said the exact meaning of the word was unknown, so though the this tribe existed later than the time frame your son specified, another tribe, group, place, or individual could have preceeded it.

But THIS may interest you most. Spelled "Miccosukee", there is a website devoted to the tribe at http://www.miccosukeetribe.com/history.html It even discusses their language. You may find some enlightenment there.

I just wanted to thank all of you for your responses and your links for more information. I will read the links and let you all know if I find anything. I don't know the spelling of the name he said "mikasuki" so i will check out the link on the other spelling of it. Thanks again.

Hi All-

My name is J.R. Rose. I am college student, and a writer from Illinois. I recently begun to get into reincarnation after a strange dream that I had. I drempt of a little boy who was sleep talking in German and his mother overheard this and was concerned. She later realized that the boy was channeling past lives in his sleep, and then it got hazy after that. I woke up facinated that I had drempt this, and i just had to start writing about this. I have starting writing a screenplay with that episode as its premise. I have kept it somewhat secretive because ihate when i start soemthing and don't finish it and people know about it. Well yesterday at work (MCI WorldCom) this women Melanie (whom i hardly know) comes down to pick up her check and as she is leaving she looks at me and says " that script that you are secretly writing...it is going to sell....big...try writing it as a book." And she left.... well if that sort of lit my fire, and weirded me out...Melanie is known to be psychic and i was just amazed. Well I went on the net to start researching, and this was the first site I found. These stories are absoultly amazing. I get shivers thinking about them...i have oredered Carol Bowman's book...I was wondering if anyone has any advise resourses, stories, or help in general. I really think thi topic could be an incredible film, and deserves a shot. Also, I am very interested in finding out about my own past lives...any suggustions...going to a regessionest?? therapy. I can't help bu think that i am being lead down some path here....i feel as though these stories must be told, and this subject matter explored through the arts and literature.
I would love any feedback, help, or suggestions you have for me.

Language skills from nowhere

Hi all

Our son has surprised us many times with his English skills. We are a finnish family living in Finland and we never speak English at home. At the time our son first showed that he could speak English he was six and we did not even have a tv that time.
It came out that way that some kids came to my wife and said that Petteri has translated some English pop songs into finnish. My wife said that that cannot be true, because our son does not speak English. "But he is doing it right now" claimed the guys and my wife had to check it out. And that was the fact.
After some years he started to read English novels by himself.
When he was 13 we moved to Ethiopia because of my job at the Addis Ababa University. When I went down to the American School I felt kind of stupid. The English teacher asked how many years my son had studied English and I had to answer that actually none....but he speaks it well.
Well, they took him for probation, but already the very next day he was moved to his normal grade. And the other students voted him into the student council.
He seemed to have returned home... he was so relaxed and happy.
More problems awaited when he had to return to his finnish school. "Why cannot I write essays in English" he sighed nearly every night at home.
Now he is 27 and in balance with his two "selfs". He is a patriotic finn but you can notice that when he comments some american matters that he looks at them as somebody involved....

Greetings
LarryZ

What a great story to share Larry, it seems, your son could have had a happy lifetime during the one he carried over his language skills from, as he seems slightly empowered and connected to the language and his communication through this avenue.

I'm glad he's reached a balance now in later life, I wonder, has he ever looked further into this life he was remembering as a child???

Dear Kelly

I have the feeling that he just takes it granted and does not make so much thinking about it...
On the other hand, he is perhaps the most philosophical family member of us all. He is very interested in the philosophy of american indians, though he has never been in the US (nor anyone of our family).

Dear Larry

Sounds like a child you should be and are obviously very proud of...maybe you should give you and your wife a "well done" pat on the back.

She spoke in a strange language!

This happened about 15 years ago:
I was watching my step-daughter's softball game, and sitting on the ground under a tree, since it was a very hot day. Her half-sister, who was about 4 years old and some other kids were playing a short distance away. Suddenly, the 4-year old little girl ran right up to me and began speaking in a very strange language. I attempted to speak it back to her and she got frustrated and said "No, it's like this..." and spoke the exact same thing again. I asked her what that was, and she immediately replied, "That was the other little girl, but she's dead now." Then she smiled and ran away to play. No one I've shared this with thinks it means anything, but I say it does!

Great Story David,

And I'm with you - I think it DOES mean something, but I guess this is why so many young children stop sharing their stories in time.

Hi!

So there are other Finns here also?
Well, your story reminded me of my childhood. I used to love the English language and it was always very easy for me to learn. At times (at school) I instinctively knew the meaning of a new English word even before it was told. It was an odd feeling.
(I´ve been told by a medium I had a past life in England recently, so who knows...)

Leena

Hi Leena

It seems that you must have had an English speaking life not so long ago... Try a regression therapy. I know a good therapist in Helsinki if you happen to live around...
Then you will remember more details yourself.
But of course, that´s up to you. Some people do not wish to remember their former lives and that´s okay, too.

As an American in this life, of course English is my native language. From childhood, however, I have had a preference for British English. I also have an identification with England and the English (not Scotland or Wales or Northern Ireland). In fact, when visiting England, I become vaguely annoyed at being regarded as American, because I feel as though I belong there. This is especially true of London. While in London, I feel native. In other English towns I feel the way I do in the U.S. when I visit a place where I don't live.

My feeling is that I came to this life, in 1949, directly from one in London which included World War II. I have no proof or images, just the feeling.

Cecily

Hi Cecily

Just trust your feelings, they know better than you...
If you died very young in the war, you probably wished to come back quite soon. In my case after four years. I seem to have wanted to reincarnate as close to the former place as possible, but on the "safe side" (Finland instead of Estonia).

Larry

Actually, I think I was a middle-aged woman. Most likely I was reborn as an American so quickly because my present life parents were here. They were already 40 and 37 and trying to have a child, so if I needed to be born to them, I had to come back quickly.

In reading my mother's letters to her parents about me as small child, I do seem to have had an adult grasp of language. Example: the day a neighbor who was a kindergarten teacher told her I'd correctly used the word "encased." She said she'd never heard a 4 yr. old use it before.

Another time, I saw a bottle of milk bubble over. I said, "atomic explosion!" I was too young to read or see newsreels. This was before we had a tv. Was I still living and English, I wonder, in Sept. 1946, which is when newsreel footage of atomic explosions were first released?

Cecily

I believe that it was the language she spoke in another life although my theories are totally of base.See sometimes i can speak a language but it is unknown to me what language it is. I have only spoken it to a few very close friends, we think that it might be latin or a combination of latin-asian.

My theory is that in a far past time there were civilizations not unlike Atlantis that were far more advanced then the rest of the world but have long since been forgotten and that some languages that we don't recognize are from these places.

Call me crazy but that might be the case. any way i just wanted to state my opinion feel free to email me. :Quasar_moon@starmail.com

During the week, I went into my daughters room to check on her while she was asleep, she was sitting up in bed with her eyes wide open and speaking a strange language. It was very clear but I didn't recognise it as anything I'd heard before.
I wonder if anyone can shed any light on this for me, I'd be very grateful.

A friend of mine (white male, born in Canada) once spoke a string of Japanese at a ball game when he was pre-teen. He was always fascinated with Japanese culture, etc. and while he was at this game there was a couple sitting behind him arguing in Japanese. They continued for 2 or 3 innings until he turned around, intending to be insulting made what he thought were nonsense Japanese-like sounds. One of their friends stopped him during the game and asked when he learned Japanese. He never did, however it turned out that he had actually turned around and said "Will the bickering children be quiet now." with a native accent.

I'm half Irish half Finnish.I recall 3-4 lives where I lived in or spent time in Ireland but no past lives in Finland.

I did however recall a future life in Finland about 115 years from now.It was a series of islands due to geological changes and most of the population lived communally in about 10 really big cities that seemed to have a high level of technology despite the massive catastrophes that occurred there.

Hi everyone! I must say I am very impressed by what was said here and I also have one of my own experiences to add here: I am Brazilian by birth, but for some strange reason, even when I was very very young, I had this affinity for the English Language and the States. I don't recall this but my mother told me that I, as a child, continuously told her and my dad that it was unfair that I didn't know English and I couldn't understand what was being said. Weirdly enough, my parents were called to work at an university in Cambridge, MA. I was 11 then. But even after i learned English I wasn't satisfied. I wanted a perfect English witrh no flaws, and would be upset each time I heard myself speaking with an accent. One day I just got out of bed and was speaking Engliush without any accent! A lot of acquaintances as well as my family were surprised...i believe that I was an American in a previous life, perhaps before WWII...I think I was a very proud person, too...in this life I am shy and have a rather low self esteem... but my love for the States remains the same...I consider myself an American, although no close relatives of mine even live in North America. Now is that weird, or what?;-)
Love and peace to you all,
Carolyn

I heard someone who studies reincarnation did a survey in Brazil that showed that the majority of people in brazil who remembered their most recent life were american in that life.I think someone else did a survey to find many americans remembered recent german past lives so it seems if there's such a thing as national reincarnation the cycle here seems to go Germany---->America--->Brazil.I found the idea rather interesting.Any thoughts on this?

According to the research by Helen Wambach, many of the americans who were regressed -in her researchproject- came in a previous lifetime in Asia. Here in NL we have quite some people who actively recall living during WWII. In regressions today-problems bring you back to pastlife-causes; some problems are connected with more than one lifetime, and it is often not the first lifetime before this one that shows up. Imagine that somebody died in a terrible experience right before this lifetime, than that may not be the first lifetime that comes to the surface, because it is simply too heavy, and too near by. Older traumata can come easier because they are longer ago. It may be so that a client has already experienced many lifetimes, and thinks the problem is already dealt with, and then suddenly and finally, the life right before this one, comes to surface, since the client is now strong enough to re-live that one.

and in addition to your experiences:
My little niece spoke english from when first could speak; my sister -her mother- wrote down what she said. Stories about lots of children that she had to care for. this little girl hates to eat potatoes. Boiled potatoes she will refuse to eat. Potato-chips are okay, but that is it. After my sister read Carol Bowmans first book, she decided to ask her daughter: do you remember when you told me in english that you had so many children? the girl(then 8) stopped playing, her eyes staring, gazing in the distance, she said: Oh, mummy. that is such a long time ago! It was so terrible... My sister, bearing in mind the advice from Bowmans book, carefully asked further: can you tell me more about it? The daughter was in her past life memory already and reported the existence of her 10 children (she named 6)when she lived in a poor lifetime always having to peel potatoes... and she addes that she never could leave her house. Her neighbour had a horse and she would sometimes bring stuff from the nearest city or village, but she herself never left her home... This is what Hans tenDam (researcher and pioneer in regressiontherapy, author of 'DEEP HEALING' ) calls a 'hangover-life'.
the active memory of such a boring dragging-on lifetime, makes the present life grey.
So, being a regressiontherapist myself, I decided to invite my niece to come over and stay with us. She did not accept the invitation. Then I said: you know? sometimes it is just time to take your horse and go out of town!... My niece laughed and said: but I have no horse!

this is an indication of how the pastlife is already present here and now, and why it is so wonderful that it can be healed.
(Ofcourse my sister takes her daughter out in the car many times to visit nice places)

That's quite interesting...I guess the US, Brazil and Germany are places that show enough differences that souls feel like they can learn different things each time...where did you read that? Any particular book I should check out?

Oh, and I hate fish...cannot eat it...maybe I had a traumatic incident like your niece with the potatoes? I used to eat a lot of fish when I was a toddler, but stopped altogether at the age of 4 or 5...my mom always thought that was weird...:-)
Peace,
Carolyn

The book I referred to above is Dr Helen Wambach's Life before Life. funny that your example of hating fish is one of the examples given in another practice-documentation, I think it was in Winafred Lucasz ' handbook for regression therapy ' (2 volumes)

Try to find a regressiontherapist and find out what is the cause. if it is caused by a pastlife memory, that means that at least that particular previous life personality now is influencing your life. In pastlife regression therapy it is NOT so that we bring a long lost memory on the surface, but we help the client to get insights in the reasons why that experience of the long lost past in NOW already actively present.
so it will help you clear up some things that may bother you right now, and hating fish is part of that... mostly the pastlife personality had a good reason for that.

good luck

Cecily--I have the same British fixation as you, which is all the more weird as I am IRISH-American. As a kid I would always pretend to be in Victorian England, wear long dresses, speak in an English accent--and it mystified me that my friends who played with me could not do English accents. (But it's not just English accents I can do, I can mimic anything--so I don't know where that skill comes from). I moved there for a few years and went completely "native," spoke with an English accent etc.

My daughter spoke a different language....

I have written before about the many amazing things my 4 year old has said to me over the years...and now there seems to be a new development.

Today she had a 'date" with her Grandma (my Mom). Later in the evening my Mom told me about yet another amazing thing my daughter did.

They were driving in the car, (that seems to be the place for these things to occur), and for some reason my Shianne told her Grandama that someday she was going to live in Paris. She explained that Paris is in France and it's there because the French people wanted it to be there. She told my Mom that France is the COUNTRY and Paris is the CITY of France (as if this would be news to my mom;-)

Anyway, Mom said asked her if she speaks French. Shianne said "Not anymore". Mom then decided to test her with the little but of French she knows.

"Parlay? vous France'?" she asked. To which my daughter replied.."Parlay vous France' to YOU Grandma?"

"Oui" my Mom said. Then she told her, in french that she speaks "a little". (I can't remember what the phrase is)

My daughter looked at her and said, " A little Grandma? You only speak a little!"

I don't know a lick of French other than the usual stuff that you hear all of the time.. I can't possibly imagine where she learned ANY of it..

I am wondering if the lifetime she spoke about before, when she described herself as Cassandra Kwaski is somehow connected...

All I know is that I am continuously reminded of how amazing she is, and how limitless our Souls experiences are!!!

Hi Tammy

Bless Shianne, she’s definitely keeping you on your toes there isn’t she - it’s great that your mother is so open to the kid’s also though.

A lot of children seem to “phase out” in the car it seems (from the various stories I’ve read in here and in books over the years)…I think it’s maybe because the whole “environment”, just makes it so easy to just zone out – nothing can intrude on your daydream in a car…or sleep.

I wonder what it is that makes you think her French speaking and knowledge comes from the life you suggest??? Mainly just because the name “Kwaski” sounds Jewish to me…(I believe Kwaski is a Polish word)…not French in the slightest…although of course, if a war or such was occurring at the time, it’s quite viable that people would “move around”. Do you have an idea on time on this life with her???

Thanks for keeping us up to date, Shianne is a special little girl.
