The most important incident.

I noticed how quiet this Section had become and thought I would try and liven things up a bit, you know, kinda like throwing a soup bone into a pack of hound dogs, as they say down here in the South (the Southeast section of the USA.)

OK, the question is: what was the most, charged with emotion and important incident involving Parapsychology in your life to date.

For instance, seeing an entity, or a voice warning you of danger ahead and it comes true, or dreaming of someone and shortly after you wake up, they come by to visit you.

You get the idea, that one singular incident that stands out above all others, come on, please tell us about it, I did, all three of the above instances happened to me!!!

If I had to select the "One" incident, it would be seeing an entity, it happened to me as a child and it was my Great-Grandmother standing in her old Bedroom that she died in!!!

Hi Hydroload,

Thanks for waking this section up again!

I would have to weight it between two separate incidents, I think.

The first, coming home from work to find a man in orange overalls (a creel/fisherman) sitting in my armchair... Only, there was no man in orange overalls sitting in the chair... it was seriously freaky.

The second occurred last week. I was thinking how nice it would be to find someone interested in past life and other spiritual matters to give me some teaching and guidance. A few hours later, I found myself in a completely different section of a book store, and a book fell on my head... it was called the shaman's oracle. I bent down to pick That one up, and knocked down a book lying on a table behind me... it was a book of Mother Shipton's teachings! Talk about being spoon thread the answers!

I have discussed before, it's buried somewhere here.

When I went Independence California

Where fort Independence was, it was swallowed by

a earthquake in the mid 1880's

There was hole where it's once was.

There was a boulder near the edge .

I touched the boulder I began to here screaming

men a women screaming so loudly. I was 10 when this happened.

I had many ghost sightings over years.

But, this one event is something i can't

really forget.

Most important

The morning that my deceased brother called me to wake me up to let me know that my Mom had passed over.

Looking back on my life....the paranormal is 'another day at the office for me. Routine occurrences through my life. But, looking back and picking out one that 'blew me away' and shocked me silly was the incident in 2007 where I felt someone tapping me on the shoulder and turned around to see my 'spirit' from 1981 and recalling the time in 1981 when I woke up from a dream where I 'thought' I had visited my future self in an out of body experience. I didn't know enough in 1981 to believe it. It just seemed like a 'crazy dream' back then. That was the one paranormal incident that had a dramatic impact on my mind unlike any other paranormal experience I have been through.

Sincerely,

DKing

I really have to many to pick from. I guess it comes with the territory of being a "medium" and being surrounded by gifted people. ;) But, the one thing that stands out in my mind the most is when my aunt and I helped a native american cross over to the other side. My aunt, my mother, and myself were in my room and were guiding him to the light. After he rejoiced with his family we heard ceremonial drumming. I did not see the native american then, but he appeared to me one day while it was snowing. He was standing by one of the oldest trees in the neighborhood, and it was such a beautiful site.

Please keep the incidents/instances coming in, folks, they make excellent reading and they let other people know that these incidents happen to other people too, and we are NOT crazy for having experienced these many incidents, it's just a part of being a spiritual being in a flesh and bone body and having these "Gifts" enable us to survive in a fragile physical body!!!

These many facets of Parapsychology tie in nicely with Reincarnation and Past Lives, as Reincarnation and Past Lives exist IMHO to enable us to round out the rough edges of our Souls and enable us to return to the Creator in a more advanced state (something like starting out a long time ago as a "Lump of Coal") and evolving through the ages to become a beautiful Diamond to present to the Creator!!!

I like to use the analogy of an old car (our body) that breaks down on the highway (of a lifetime) and you get out and start walking until you come to a new car lot where a very helpful salesman (the Creator or a Spirit Guide) shows you the different models there.

You finally select a different model this time, maybe even a different style (sexual gender) or a different color (race) and you start out once again on a new adventure (lifetime) in the mists of time.

So please, let's keep the stories coming and you will quickly realize we are not all that different from one another, yet we are each very unique Souls!!!

Of a bit of a different nature, but there was a time when I was under a LOT of work stress (really huge) and I had a lot of my own personal stress going on too.

I know I wasn't dreaming, but I found myself watching an "astral plane" type environment through a sort of misty barrier. Basically, I had temporarily "died". I knew this and I was quite calmly contemplating the view through the mist and thinking "I don't think is quite the right astral plane for me - not beautiful enough and people have standard Earth type expressions on their faces (ie rather than happy)". With that I calmly decided it wasn't the correct astral plane for me and must be one a bit "nearer the Earth" than I was due for, but I'd break through that mist barrier first and then figure out how to get to the correct astral plane for me personally afterwards.

At that point, I felt two people behind me. I didn't see them, but they were there and, with the force of their will, they brought me back to Earth and I "came to" in my bed.

It was a hot summers night and I was fully covered by my bedclothes. However, my body was colder than it had ever been - a very different type of "cold" (which I interpreted as the "cold" it would be when dead type of cold). I remember quite dispassionately thinking to myself "Well, as I wasn't allowed to die, then I had better get up and warm this body back up again then, as its so cold".

It took me some time and hot drink and hotwater bottles etc to get my body back up again to normal temperature.

To Ceridwen

Ceridwen, I believe that when we Astral Project (AP), that there are different levels of AP, at first, very light (perhaps it was rather like day dreaming) all the way to a full blown, traveling to another location, Astral Projection.

While the (supposed) day dreaming has little chance of verification from someone, a full blown Astral Projection incident is still possible (at least to you) even though NO verification took place, however verification is a very good thing to prove AP to others, but also to yourself, as verification can be a morale boosting event and can make you want to try it again (ONLY if it was not scary the first time!!!)

Happy AP'ing and don't forget verification. ;)

As in, you think it more likely that I was "visiting" elsewhere on Earth (hence the typically unhappy Earth expressions on peoples faces) and astrally projecting? That is one possibility. I rather understand that there might be one or two astral planes that are pretty near Earth and aren't (at first sight) too different to Earth and it was my feeling that I was on one of them (sorta like "I should be on 3rd plane 'down' from 'top' and this is 5th plane 'down'. I'll get through that barrier first and then find a way to head upwards to "my" correct astral plane" was pretty much what I was thinking at the time).

To me, I took it that I had actually willed myself to die, as life was being so hard on me at that particular time. I would still tend to think I did actually die temporarily by the sheer force of my will.

a. Because of those two people willing me back to Earth.

b. That cold body of mine on such a hot night. The nearest I have ever come to that type of cold was when I was demonstrating at a military base and had to stand around in the cold for hours whilst doing so. But it was worse than that. It was a real bone-deep type cold I felt and it took quite a bit of doing with that hot water bottle/hot drink/standing by a fire to get some warmth back into my body again, whereas normally on that hot a night I would be lying there throwing off bedclothes and switching on a fan in an attempt to cool down.
