My 10 year old son has had a very difficult time with the Trade Centre disaster. He was up until very late last night saying things like " Why does this always happen to me? Every time I come here some stupid war happens. I thought I would miss one this time."
We talked about war and his feelings on the Trade centre disater specifically, but I was wondering if any other parents are noticing if this horrible thing has "triggered" any of their children and how they are dealing with it.
Tyler has been open to past life memories for some time and so talks easily about this sort of thing. He realizes this might be an "issue" with him but I always wonder about other people's children. Something like this is so BIG that it might show up on a large scale.

Hey bansidhe - like your username I'm not a kid but I have to say I had the same thought as Tyler - I didn't want to have it be about that this time. I was hoping it wouldn't be. I don't have children though so I can't respond to you there and hope others do.

Dear Bansidhe,
Very interesting about your son.
The day of the Trade Centre incident, I had a past life healing. I turns out that my daughter and I died in similar circumstances in our past lives. While we were crushed at the same time, it was a slow agonizing death, and she died last-her neck was crushed. She was around one year old. I was over come with grief during the healing and for sometime afterward.
Afterward I shared the episode with my son, but at the time my daughter was downstairs and didn't hear what I had told him. Immediately on coming upstairs, she said" My neck really hurts. My neck really hurts and I don't know why." A few minutes later we were in the kitchen and a wasp came in. She said "Help! A wasp!" I said "I'll save you." She said "A building crashed down on me. You wanted to save me, but it was too heavy." And she left the room. My son and I just stared at each other. The next day I had a terrible pain on my left side, and a headache the likes of which I'd never had before. She said"You know you're healing mom-right? Don't worry, it'll never happen again." After that I had to share with her what I knew. This isn't in direct correlation with the Trade Centres, but it happened on the same day, and the same type of trauma. Thought you might find this interesting.I know I did!! It has been very hard to watch those scenes on TV. Actually, I have turned it off for a couple of days.-Laurel

I would imagine that an event this big would trigger memories for both adults and children of catastrophes from other lives: bombings, earthquakes, etc. I would also imagine that both children and adults may have past-life nightmares (as well as present-day nightmares) triggered by these events, as well as body memories.

In each case, it's a good idea to see how far you can get in processing these memories by telling the stories, or being receptive to these images and feelings as they come up.

To the first post: your son's remark is interesting. I would wonder, too, why he came back to another potential war. I don't think there's a pat answer to that question. But it's curious that there are so many very conscious souls coming in these days. It makes me wonder what their role will be in this huge transformation we're witnessing.

Hi bansidhe,

Your son's comments are interesting, and defintely sounds last past memory recall to me. It's easy for kids to remember past lives. It's good you are talking to him about his feelings, etc. He sounds like a special boy.

The world trade center and Afghanastan situation is hard to cope with. I remember when I turned on my tv to set up my vcr so I could tape passions on nbc that day, I saw the building on fire. I knew it wasn't good, but then I saw the world trade center at the bottom. I was so scared that the country would end up going into another Depression. I was alive during that time period since I was around my early twenties on the Titanic. In my past life dream, I was from a wealthy family, who had extremely high standards for everyone in the family and looked down on anyone that wasn't from the same class. On the Titanic I ended up falling in love at first sight with this I think second class guy. (the dream is very detailed, before the movie I didn't know much about titanic except the name of it then I would have dreams where I was going down this hallway that was the titanics hallway. out of curiousity I looked up titanic passengers and the numbers to the first class doors were exactly like in my dream.)For a while it seemed like the terrorist thing had calmed down but after they started talking about ID cards I started thinking that if I carried one it would only cause the usa more chaos because whenever we looked at those things in our wallets we'd all see the plane crashing into the world trade centers and pictures in our head of fire fighters searching for victims and their bodies. Since then, I've had more memories of my past life, probably because the Titanic crashed into the ice berg, and a lot of lives were lost on it like at the world trade center. I don't even have my liscence and i'm 19 because of family circumstances and a short attention span, but the thought of driving a vehicle on an icy road gives me bad feelings. I guess I keep thinking ice could have got me killed once.

for several months before the trade center attack, I would have nightmares about finding bodies of relatives who had passed on, or body parts in body bags, or helping a soap opera villain hide a dead body, but I noticed after the trade center incident I haven't had a single one of those dreams. I was beginning to wonder if maybe those dreams were an indirect premonition of the firefighters searching for victims since they stopped after that.

My reaction to the TC issue has been kind of odd... initially it was sort of a, "Well, I guess this is it. *sigh* Here we go again."

I noticed I was easily irritated with all the people who kept saying how shocked they were.... people have been talking about an apocolypse coming for years... did they think it would start with hugs and puppies?

It's strange... I feel a lot of compassion and sorrow for the victims' families, but at the same time I have this sort of... it's like settling on the balls of your feet and readying for a fight instead of glancing back over your shoulder, wondering when it will hit. A definate sense that here things are, and finally the world might start to make sense.

Am I completely kooky?

Twain Bless,
Tatinne

By any chance are you from LOL?

My 4 year old DD wasn`t told about the WTC etc. by anyone that will admit it. I just didn`t think it was something she needed to know! BUT somehow she knew all about it. At first she didn`t seem to be bothered. Then about 1 week later she started talking about my grandma and mom and baby sister were with me and we went into a burning building. And it was loud and there was fire. And we all died. Everytime she heard the words building in regard to WTC or not, she started talking in this way. I tried to ask her about it but she said nothing really, but agreed when I asked was it a war? Thats all I could get out of her...sigh.
This issue will be one that will take years for all of us to get over and I can only imagine the triggers it must have caused and is still causing!!
