Triggers memories of PL's

There seems to be a spate of recent postings concerning Past Lives (PL's) during World War II, both civilians and military persons.

It is possible that this close to the Holiday's, that it has re-awakened memories of PL's of being far away in a strange land and far away from one's loved ones, strong emotions indeed, strong enough to stir up memories from PL's.

Just a thought of mine, and your thoughts on the subject???

I would think it would be a yearly thing if that was the case. What I think of in this instance is that WW2 is sufficiently far way from the current generation to be almost exotic and very romanticized. It is very well recorded so there is a ton of information out there. More information means more potential for either false memories and flights of fancy or else genuine memory triggers. The 60's and 70's, as a contrasting example, isn't far enough away yet. Some attempts are made now and then at glorifying the 60's and 70's, but too many people are still alive who remember the reality of the era. As time goes by the era will be more romanticized and people will start musing on it more, writing on it more, and creating more potential triggers.

This is a very interesting topic. I have been posting recently about what may have been a previous life during WW!!

The difference I felt during these memories was a real emotional attachment to them, and some of them making sense and connecting. Another interesting aspect for me is why for all of my life I have had an absolute disbelieve in god. If I did die the way I remember I would have no reasons to believe in god. It even goes deeper than disbelieve. In the end how do we really know? If this is true about me then a feeling I have had most of my life that something went terribly wrong and I should not be here may be answered

The point I'm trying to make is... there are no words or understandings that can be used to give clarity of meaning to all of these memories people have

I know mine have no connection to the holidays. I'm very close to that generation. My parents were of that generation and I was born just 9 years after the war ended. I've had my memories since I was a small child.

So for me, there Is nothing exotic about WWII.

It is the dark turn of the year. A time when humans have been conditioned to hunker-down, rest, and reflect. It is no wonder, for me, that past life memories might surface more frequently at this time, at least, in the Northern Hemisphere.

As to why so many WWII memories recently . . . I would think the anniversary of the "day which will live in infamy" might have stirred some things up.
