Update on Nikki

Mysticangel3

Love has no boundaries
I will recap quickly as my posts on this are infrequent.

Nikki is the reincarnation of her Great Aunt and my Daughter Heather. There are no doubts. I have been posting things as they come up and promised to update the group on any new developments.

Nikki is currently very involved in Cheer leading. She is 9 now and on a gym squad, practices twice a week plus cheer camps etc. Sadly and happily she is forgetting her past life now and becoming completely involved with this one. I am happy and proud to watch from the sidelines as Great Auntie.

It took over a year (almost 2) for Nikki to be able to do a cartwheel. Now she has been working twice a week on doing a back hand spring for the past 7 months and just completely freezes. It is not a normal fear but a paralizing fear of attempting to do this without someone spotting her although her coaches say she is more than ready. I have watched her cry rather than do it from the fear.

Today I finally figured it out. Nikki told me, when I asked her a couple of weeks ago why she had such a fear, that she is afraid of breaking her neck. She was white lipped, tears in her big brown eyes with fear as she explained this to me. Knowing nothing has happened and that she has never even fallen during a stunt this was odd. UNTIL........... duh moment here............ I started thinking about the fear and possibly past life related.

Heather (her former incarnation) died as a result of a roll over car accident in a convertible and the massive brain injuries that resulted. See why the duh moment??? I had been expecting something to show up when she started dating as this happened when going on a luncheon date with a boy but not this soon so was blind sided by it. Nikki is not being raised with reincarnation as part of her spiritual path (I'll work on that when she is grown *smiles* and her Mom knows I will do nothing and say nothing until she is in her twenties) so this is up to her current Mother to deal with.

I suggested that they go get a helmet for her to practice in for a while as it might give her more security than simply the open air above/below her as in that convertible. My niece (Nikki's current Mom) was/is very open to these views as Nikki is undeniably who she is/was. We also want to cherish the gift given but NOT interfere in any way with confusing her as to her current incarnation. Everyone does this differently as the situation calls for and I think it is all the right path for the right families. It seems very reasonable to me that the motion of doing this back hand spring "feels" similar to her last moments on earth the last time. It is completely from this view understandable why she is having issues and fears a neck injury. I think her Mother will now be able to help her over come those fears due to new understanding.

Just wanted to update as it is important when understanding that a person has rejoined a family unit to remember the good and the not so good to help them over come any issues.

Hugs,

Polly

Thanks for the update Polly :)

Interesting theory about Nikki's fears, and you could be right. It never even occured to me, having suffered a broken neck myself in a past life, that I also had that same kind of 'apprehension' when I was at school, and anything like the kind of acrobatics you described in your post, used to scare me too whenever we had our physical training class. Maybe I did fear falling on, and doing some damage to my neck. I've never made the connection, but now you mention it, I think you could be onto something there.

Thank you for the update, Polly. That theory does make sense. Hopefully a solution can be found to help her get over her apprehensions.
