Variances of time?

Hiya, I had a really strange dream the other night, which left me interested as to other people's thoughts or musings on the matter.

It is really a little difficult to decide how to explain, but basically, I saw several channels of time. Almost like an onion, with the skins of the onion all moving upon and within and around each other with varying speeds... it was like the speed of time, as we know it, didn't exist, or rather it did exist, but was only one of many different speeds of time, and I could see all the different variances of time superimposed upon each other. I'm sorry, if this is really not making any sense!

Imagine you're in a cinema, say 3D surround, but can 'see' the sound rather than just hearing it. Now imagine the sound is actually a life in time. So, you're sitting there 'watching' a movie of life times, all moving independently at differing speeds to each other. One, a slow paced way of life, a famer hand-ploughing his fields, gazing at the birds and the wind and the sun. Then on top of and independent of it you see a fast-paced movie of a jet set of young teenagers romping their way through a string of partying nightclubs. And then also a moderately-paced movie of a young woman walking back home through the park with a prancing youngster by her side.

Now imagine you are seeing all three of these together....! But they are passing you by at different paces, like if you're sat in a lane of traffic in the middle lane of a motorway, with the lanes around you all moving at different speeds. But also, some of these, like the farmer in his field, were almost on a repeat setting. They would show a few moments in his life, then go back and repeat it over and over (Like if your lane starts to move again, but now the lane next to you has to stop. Then you stop and they start again, so you keep on passing the same cars over and over). Now imagine the jet setters or the woman and child could see flashes of it at different times when they looked in the right direction, and each time they saw the flash, it was a continuation or repeat of what they had previously seen, as if they were seeing an image in a dream. Except what they were seeing was not a dream, just someone else's 'time warp', sometimes exact repeats of the same frame, sometimes like the cars in the motorway, just catching up with or overtaking each other.

But then, to complicate it even more, even though when you look at all the different streams of time, they are all passing you by at different speeds, within themselves they are all actually identical relative to each other. i.e. a second or hour in one time frame is exactly the same as a second or hour in another frame, because the rates are in proportion in each frame. Gosh, I am sure this is really not understandable at all, and indeed most highly confusing! :cool Sorry!: angel

Has anyone else ever had a dream or visualisation like this? What do people think? I had the thought afterwards that maybe some dreams/regressions/visualisations etc may perhaps relate to such a concept as this, as strange as it is for me to grasp - perhaps in the relaxed or meditative state ...

Hi Lynette,

Yes...I completely understand what you are describing. And it makes sense. :D I will dig up some things for you in the morning. I have been drowning in curriculum all day but will come back tomorrow.

Lynnette, Thanks for posting. And Yes I understood what you are trying to say. Time itself is such an interesting subject. But I myself am not going to say much right now but more meditate and think on what you said. And thru the years have heard all kinds of things being said as relating to time. And just how many things in life on the surface so to speak, are not what they in reality appear to be it seems. Wishing You the Best!

Hi Lynette,

Are you familiar with read Michael Talbot's book -"The Holographic Universe." A great book you might enjoy and get "ah-ha" moments. :D

Dreams are interesting, back in July of 2000 I had two dreams that helped me understand time in a new way. The following is my dream....'fragment.'

DREAM # 1: I was not in a specific time or place. I was in a void. My body was not a solid form made of 'matter.' I was a vibration -- like pure energy -- and consciousness. I reached out to touch a TIME fragment, that's when I realized I was warping time to do so. In that dream I knew that time was really a HOLOMOVEMENT, a fragmentation of ALL there is.
THEN - Five days later and probably due to my own thousand questions I found myself with another dream that showed me even more.

DREAM # 2: I was stepping out of a horse drawn carriage as a young woman. It felt to be another life, not me now. As I stepped out of the carriage, I noticed pieces of my reality shattered into fragments surrounding me -floating in space all around me! Each fragment was of a past life of mine -- they appeared as pieces of shattered glass only fluid and each contained full color images that appeared to be like little movies going on inside each of them.
But each fragment was a hologram and a whole unto itself. The oddest of 'knowings' was I aware of each fragment. In the dream I could reach out and touch them -- each contained all of my memories within each fragment and each shard was actively participating in the present moment. IN the NOW.

Each fragment was beyond time and space as I knew it. As I emerged from the carriage I became aware that my consciousness was within one of these small fragments, only enlarged because I was experiencing it as my NOW.

BUT -if my attention, my consciousness was focused on another fragment -- I entered into that space, it would enlarge and I would be in that present moment -- in that "NOW." In another life time.
OK I hope that helps and read Talbot's book, he does a great job explaining the hologram, early consciousness studies and time..

Hi Deborah,

Thank you so much for replying. I was just contemplating whether to bring this topic back up again for thoughts and suggestions. Unfortunately, I am away from home and on placement at the moment, but as soon as I get back in a few weeks, I shall definitely have to try and seek the book out.

Seperately, I have also been experiencing similar but different things to my previous topic, which I had thought about discussing, as I do find it all very strange and bewildering.

Basically, it is as though, despite being in the here and now, I am aware of another facet of 'consciousness' - if you can call it that, going on within my current 'consciousness'. Within this, I can see myself in a scene - often the same scene in which I am presently, but within this scene I am different. I mean, it is me, but it is not. It's like I'm a, I don't know, a 'spirit'/'other entity'/.. I don't really know what, to be honest. But this 'other me' is watching over the people/environment of the 'real me', very calm and solid and confident. Just watching and smiling at what we are all doing. Like a mother watching over the activities of her child(ren). She can see what they are doing right/wrong and knows how it should be done, but jst watches to see what they will do, if they will figure things out.

But then when I get this image in dreams sometimes aswell, it is as though this 'other me' is not on the same plane/level as those around me. She is standing heads above, or even fully above looking down, again, just observing very calmly and serenly the busy bee activities of all the folk around her, amused at the stress befalling her young charge when the situation is really just so incredibly easy. Sometimes you can see there are other such 'others' standing above the masses looking down too, and again just watching, but from my view point I cannot see too many of them. And I know should I meet those other people, that there will be an instant recognition/connection that this person/these people are like me and we will get along. Sort of like the new friend you feel you've always known... It's very strange.

And I've just realised how long this post is, so sorry for rambling. I fear I rarely make a lot of sense in my posts, but I just find it very difficult to try and accurately describe things, I guess since I don't fully understand them. I also hope it is okay to be posting about this here? As I also guess it isn't really anything to do with pastlife, as it were!

Hi Lynnette,

I don't see channels of time, but I sense many lifetimes at once for me and everyone.

I will see about The Holographic Universe, by Michael Talbot. Deborah, thanks.

In regards to your post on 10-22-2010, I have also been 'hovering' in two memories. I am me, but as your post mentioned, on a different plane. I certainly feel like me, it's just that I'm advanced. In one, it's Civil War times, and I'm hovering above a circle of grey stones, noting there is no fire. There was supposed to be a fire. I know this means ..I can't go on. It's heartbreaking. When I see myself as me, hovering, I'm "calm, solid, and confident," like you describe it. But as me, thinking about it now, I can't handle it, too emotion wrenching. Almost all of my, going to sound absurd I know, past lives' memories, even the hovering ones, are of famous-ish and famous past lives. It's sad, I have such concern in real life for people who are known and do not have privacy, or who get abducted, that one could conjecture it's basing itself in my fearful imaginings. One memory, just one I ask, of being involved in Ancient Egypt things? No. Living on a farm, which I've always wanted? No. Living in Africa, where I've always wanted to be? No.

In terms of many spirits of my apparent soul in many individuals, in the past and now? Yes. I have memories of being a woman whose life overlapped mine. She's famous. Is it sick to be proud of having one conscious past life memory (or concurrent other lifetime memory, who knows?) of living in a trailer park with a man I was in love with, and feeling blissfully happy, while he was in throes of an addict's delusions while he was addicted to painkillers? Yes. But it's my shining memory, that proves I have more than waking past life memories of being the illegitimate daughter of an unknown queen, add in two queens, a princess, a U.S. first lady, a U. S. first daughter, etc. It also teaches me something, I'm finding out, the trailer one.

Being the former "first lady" (from the 1960's, I think) in this same overlapping chronological lifetime is difficult to swallow. Believe me, better me than you! Poor thing has a lot she's working out, unless this is my imagination, in her energy, her spirit, whatever it is called. I'm sure through many spirits incarnate currently and in the future, not only me. I met a woman at a workshop and she knew we were connected and said so. I was hesitant to mention my personal observations and theory, even though she seemed to be waiting, as she only appeared to be 25 or so; I felt it was right to say it, though. She said it was interesting, but she wants to figure out the how. She mentioned during the seminar she kept thinking of this first lady from the past when she looked at me. (I don't look like her, not for 20 years.) I mentioned she was on the list of lives I sense my soul was in the spirit of, and the young lady actually groaned and shuddered, saying, "God, that life." This is a woman of an age of young people who do not usually know a lot of the 1960's, and no one knows that this lifetime of this first lady was cr*p. So, is it chalked up to the woman being one of the most seemingly psychic people I've met, or, does she know someone who knew that former first lady in bad times and who told her she wasn't peaceful like she appeared (the bad times might not be the times you'd think of), or,...is part of the aspect/spirit of that first lady possibly in her too, poor thing...I get shudders thinking about it.

On top of that, I have my happiest past life memory of being in love with a different man, in England, who I wish still lived with me, my husband he became, but only for 20 years. I have a hard time worrying about the "former me?", his widow, who never recovered, not only because of the passing of her beloved, but because of her children being without their so loving Papa, and my own empath stuff. I guess it's up to me, maybe, to be one of the spirits carrying part of her, consciously, to help make it better, sometime. I wonder, is another part of this Queen's memory consciously stored with the young woman I met? She had a relief when I mentioned the Queen's name. She told me she has been in a comedic obsession with that woman's name since she was a child, and she couldn't find out how come.

For me I'm aiming to be happy. Florence, from the thread "Puppets of the Past," said: "The real secret to a happy life is to forget about yourself and help the other guy....you will be surprised at how much more content your life will be..." I'm getting there, Florence.

Hello Lynnette,

I have just read your original post and was very impressed with how you described your dream. It is very detailed, and while I was reading it I started picking up an impression of what may have been occurring.

I formed a picture in my mind of you being in an elevated place, perhaps with others in your soul group, and you were looking down at a series of your own lives and holding them in review. Collectively, you and your other soul friends were deciding how to interact in coming life events.

I think you have had a genuine and amazing look at yourself from the perspective of your oversoul.

Regards

Merlin

I have noticed several people talking about the concept of time etc recently, and didn't know how to reference the link to this thread, so thought I would wake the whole post back up again, maybe add to the discussion ;)

Thank you for pulling this up, Lynette. I found it very interesting, and understood what you were trying to explain. I've been wondering lately if awareness of our past lives may be capable of creating changes in them. I have changed a very great deal from my explorations of the subject.

I call this four seasons in one day.

It's a Crowded House song.

I have too experienced more times than I can count.

Most of time migraines come with it.

Everything in fast forward nonstop.

Trying to make it stop is really hard at times.

Sometimes I to like know why this happens.? information

overload it takes alot out of me.
