Carol calls the James Leininger case the best American case she's ever seen. It was featured on ABC Primetime (plenty of discussion in this section).

Here's a new article summarizing the case.

Jame's story can be seen here in PART I and the second half in PART II. It is the PRIMETIME Special report on ABC.

Awesome

This is a GREAT article. For those that missed the Dateline special last April...it is a must read. Please do share it with others - who might be interested.

I noticed Andrea was on line the other day - Happy Holidays!

Brilliant article, thank you for posting that Steve.
I wonder if the body of James' PL persona will ever be found and what James would feel about it.
I did have some sympathy for his father in particular who seems to have struggled for a number of frustrating years trying to make sense of his sons nightmares.

Great Article...

Hi Steve...

I've been a member for a while but I don't visit too often these days.

That was a wonderful article and I really enjoyed it. Thanks for posting it. ;)

For those who want to read or forward a good article about Jame's story - to peek the interest of your friends and family before Thursday's rebroadcast...this thread has a great link to a real good article. :)

Maybe it's me but in looking at the pictures in that article...the kid resembles the WW2 Pilot. At least in my eyes he does. But it could just be me.

I saw this on TV

There was a special on TV about this and it was one of the things that got me believing in pl. It was so interesting and for once, I felt the media wasn't making fun of someone for a pl memory. The show was so well done and informative.

Yep! Great story. I'm sure the mother will return to the forum as soon as the story is rebroadcast. She is good about letting us know! Hopefully, she'll see all these threads then.

I'd like to tell the skeptic that just because he doesn't believe it doesn't mean its not true. I'd also like to know how he can explain the things little james said, how he knew the name Jack Larsen, The Natoma, being shot by the Japanese. These are not things parents typically discuss in front of their children and even if they did, they are not things a two or three year old child would retain if he overheard them.

Also, in my experience of being a mom and having a lot of friends with small children--nightmares are seldom that detailed, clear and that repetitive. Your average run of the mill nightmare in a two or three year old is most likely going to be about something not real, like monsters, or objects becoming real.

Just my two cents.

It was great to see this much discussed case on video, and read the great article afterwards.

An amazing story with so many validated details. It's wonderful that the Leiningers decided to go public with their son's story.

I feel exactly the same way.

I wonder what James L. looks like these days. I'd imagine that as James L. gets older, if there is a facial similarity to James H, it will become most apparent when James L. gets to be around 17-21.

If you missed the first TV appearance the links are in this thread. :)

soul survivor

Well the book about James is the above title...of course, I thought I knew a RS tune of the same title whose only lyric I could recall was "gonna be the death of me" which I Googled and, indeed, found the whole songs lyrics! Some aspects may be relevant to the book, which I should get in the mail today and thus, may find out!

Soul Survivor Lyrics

Artist(Band):The Rolling Stones

(M. Jagger/K. Richards)

When the waters is rough

The sailing is tough,

I'll get drowned in your love.

You've got a cut throat crew,

I'm gonna sink under you,

I got the bell bottom blues,

It's gonna be the death of me.

It's the graveyard watch,

Running right on the rocks,

I've taken all of the knocks.

You ain't giving me no quarter.

I'd rather drink sea water,

I wish I'd never had brought you,

It's gonna be the death of me.

Soul survivor, soul survivor.

Soul survivor, soul survivor.

Soul survivor, soul survivor.

Soul survivor, soul survivor,

Gonna be the death of me,

It's gonna be the death of me.

When you're flying your flags

All my confidence sags,

You got me packing my bags.

I'll stowaway at sea,

You make me mutiny,

Where you are I won't be,

You're gonna be the death of me.

Facial features between incarnations.

Hello,

POST #17 brings up the possibility of similar facial features between James L. and James H.

Has James Huston's family pointed-out similar facial features from any photographs of a young James Huston?

I look forward to reading "Soul Survivor."

Any pictures of a young James Huston available?

Hello,

Are there a few sources of pictures of a young James Huston (born in 1923) that has been released for public view; and posted on the Internet?

Reincarnation of a Fighter Pilot

Host: George Noory

Guests: Bruce Leininger, Andrea Leininger

Bruce & Andrea Leininger shared the story of their young son James who remembered vivid details of a previous life as a World War II pilot, and who many claim is a living example of one of the most compelling cases so far for reincarnation. At a very early age James showed a fascination with airplanes, but his parents became puzzled and concerned when the boy began repeating phrases during recurring nightmares, such as "Plane on fire! Little man can't get out!" He made drawings of the incident, and it was like he was replaying a tape in his head, trying to put it on paper, said Bruce.

After consulting with past lives expert Carol Bowman, Bruce & Andrea began to piece together many of the clues James offered, such as mentiong he flew a Corsair plane, the location of Iwo Jima as where his plane was shot down, and his friend named Jack Larson. They were eventually led to the conclusion that their son was the reincarnation of a fighter pilot named Lt. James Huston who went down over Iwo Jima in 1945.

Bruce tracked down some of Huston's surviving crew mates on the carrier Natoma Bay who were meeting for a reunion in 2002, and brought James together with Huston's sister Annie, now in her 90's. Andrea described how James had three G.I. Joe dolls which he named Walter, Leon, and Billie-- he said they had met him in heaven. According to records, there were three servicemen with those first names, who died while serving on the Natoma.

Children and Past Lives

First hour guest, hypnotherapist and author Dr. Bruce Goldberg talked about children that recall past lives. Some exhibit xenoglossy-- knowledge of a foreign language they aren't familiar with. He cited the case of a five-year old who spoke in a medieval German dialect, and presented accurate historical information.
