Violent PLs

Armada

Old Soul
Something I've seen a fair bit of in different posts about PLs dotted around the internet is people being horrified by violent PLs, with emphasis on the difference in personality.
Example: 'I just couldn't have done that...! I'm such a nice person in this life, and it breaks by heart to think that I could ever do something like that!'
I don't really get people in these situations, nor have I seen people with feelings such as mine post about how they feel in regards to their violent PLs. Every time I read posts such as the example there is always a thought that enters my head, willingly or otherwise. 'Oh, horrified? That's nice. You're not merely cautious or just plain scared because you still have that blood lust/savagery/etc lurking within you...?'
I'm not trying to be mean, sometimes I just think it without meaning to. Unlike them I still have a violent streak that has to be actively repressed, and I'm more cautious of it than scared... Though self-concern is existent due to the lack of horror. Am I the only person that's like this, or am I perhaps not something out of the freak show from Hell...?

I was no Angel , in my Flapper life

alot us were not.

I dealt with people who crossed me.

Am I horrified of the people I murdered?

in that past life? no. Thats how I was.

though on a occassion it does bother me.

Violent streak ? were in same boat.

I supress mine as well.

Alot of bad things happened to me in that

life and let my conscience go .

the free spirit I was died.

Spoiled rich people get away with murder.

Its important to know we all may have been someone violent in our past.Don't feel discouraged about that because we are all involved in the process of learning and improving.

No one wants to face their own shadow, but we all have it and if you don't recognize it, probably you haven't seen the whole picture yet.

I also think most of us would have to be put in especially difficult circumstances (life in the past was much more violent than now), to really know if we've got over that dark side of us, or if it's just sleeping somewhere deep, just waiting to be awaken once more.

It's easy to say you've changed when you're safe and protected in your home, no wars, nobody wanting to kill you. But if the Third World War came, who would remain loving and peaceful while you're seeing your world being destroyed?

There will always be those of us built for sin, no matter how hard we try to hide it or 'evolve' beyond it... There are people in the world who have never, and will never do anything that's not out of self-interest or mandatory obligation. I'm one of them, and it's as simple as that.

I recognize my own shadow side. That's the reason I don't own a gun. I have been angry enough to want to shoot someone, and never wanted to make it easy. I have no doubt I could perform an act of violence in defending my family, or on the battlefield. I still find violence abhorrent, particularly gratuitous acts against the innocent. The recognition of the potential for savagery in ourselves is the thing that makes us hate those acts, and condemn people who commit them. The feelings people express that you see as sanctimonious, Armada, may be a sign that we are evolving past savagery.

Were I truly evolved or evolving beyond savagery, I wouldn't still find it a 100 times as addictive as codeine or self-harm. Particularly not in matters of wrath...

The common sense of self-preservation may very well be the only thing that holds me back from putting Satan to shame.

Perhaps we'll see something similar to Noah's arc, were people could attempt to wash all the sinners away and only end up failing miserably.

I may not live in 16th century Spain anymore, but I'll admit that the Catholicism rubbed off quite a bit in my ways of thinking. The seven deadly sins to start, followed by a few (Not all) of the mortal sins...
