What babies can "see"

I have 5 grandchildren. They are all under the age of 4. With all of them, I have had the exact same experience. It is this: I have a rocking chair in my living room. As infants, when I would rock them each one of them would be transfixed on "something" in the corner of the room. It was the same corner for each child. They would be completely mesmerized. It was as if someone was there speaking to them and they were giving them their full attention...to the point that they seemed almost to be in a trance-like state. As they got older this went away. But I often think of this when I look in that corner. What did they see? Was someone, an angel perhaps, talking to them? It just seems too much of a coincidence that it happened to all 5 of them, and it was the same corner of the room for all 5 of them. Does anyone have similar experiences?

Hi Jeanne, when my son was an infant, he used to look up in the corner of our living room, just as you described. When we would pick him up and hold him upright, he would look slightly upward over our shoulder and stare, as if he was looking at someone. When he started to talk, he would still look up in the same way, and we would ask him, what are you looking at? He would say, Grandma.
My husband's mother died when my husband was 17.

I would bet money your grandkids are looking at a passed relative, or a family angel. Have you asked them what they're looking at?

My mom said my first word was light ans I'd always mention light and in some of the pictures of myself as a child I do look as though I'm seeing something amazing that no one else is.Perhaps I was still seeing the light from the afterlife.

Hello Jeanne,

Welcome to the Forum!

You know it's funny, but when my daughter was an infant I used to joke that she must've brought a friend with her, because she used to do the SAME thing!

ANd much later she began speaking to her "friends" and even to my husbands mother, who died several years before she was born!

So, I do believe there is something to that theory that our babies don't arrive here alone!

Much love!

Welcome Jeanne,

Your story reminds me of when my son was about 18 months old. I was holding him and my daughter Jennifer walked by - she was 9 years old. As she did, my son Daniel was looking up over Jennifer's head yet following her movement as she walked. I asked him - "what do you see baby?" He replied "birdie" How else could a child express spirit - that floats/flys above another child's head but to call it a "birdie."

Funny thing was, I saw it too, it was my oldest daughters spirit guide Annie.
I will never forget that day. Small children and infants are very in tune with higher frequencies.

Funny this should be mentioned, because my dog used to look up at a corner of the living room over the entry door for minutes at a time. It really used to give me a creepy feeling! When my daughter was born, she did the same thing when she was an infant. Less and less as time goes on, but it's really quite unsettling. Neither of them seemed upset or fearful of what they were seeing. Wierd!

Same thing with my son. As an infant, both my wife and I mentioned that it seemed he was looking at someone. We even tried to turn our heads quickly to try to catch a glimse of who ever it was.

The other day my son, who is now 19 months old, and I stopped at the cemetery to visit my Dad’s grave. My Dad died when my son was 2 months old. During our visit, my son looked toward some trees and said “Grandpa” and waved. I didn’t think too much about it because we were at my Dad’s grave and I had told him that Grandpa was there. Then a son, who had been walking around as kids do, turned toward the trees again and said “hi Grandpa” and waved. I asked my son if Grandpa was around and he said yes and pointed to the trees again.

It never ceases to amaze me what young children see! If only everyone carried this ability with them into adulthood...

From what my mother has told me, I used to get fixated to a corner of the room as well. When she asked me what I was looking at, a spirit appeared of my grandpa, who was dead before even my parents met and said "you have nothing to fear, I am here to see my beautiful and gifted grandson." He then disappeared from her sight. According to my father, her description of the spirit was exactly how his father looked in life!

There was also other strange paranormal things that surrounded me. My mother walked into my room one night while I was asleep, I think I was maybe around 9, and saw the spirit of a lady sitting on the edge of my bed caressing my tired body and running her hands through my hair. The spirit was dressed in a robe, kind of like what a wizard would wear. It looked kind of like ones seen around Norrath in Everquest, for those familiar with the game. She had long, brown hair as well. She is the spirit guide I have come to know as Magathia, who is a part of my "group of close friends" so to say and is the spokesperson and advisor of state for my empire in my home plane. I did not find out about this enounter with my mother until very recently and I have known of this spirit for years now.

Something else I find interesting is the fact that my parents would always find me out of my crib as well. To this day, nobody has an explanation for how I would manage to get out of the crib. I feel there is something of the paranormal involved with that as well. Something else I find interesting is that I had so much control over my movment as a newborn. My mother said that everytime the nurses in the hospital would lay me in the crib one way, everytime they returned, I was faced another way. They said I would be found laying on my stomach, the opposite way from which I was laid in there, everything. Yet another unsolved mystery. I feel this has something to do with the paranormal as well.

AYEEE!!! We must forget as adults I guess??? This may sound weird at first but pleaseeeeee pleasseee trust me on this one....I'm a kid myself, but I promise this is a valid point. When we are born we are so close to the "other world" or limbo, the place where we wait before we enter our new life. That makes babies and children alot closer to the other side spritually. When we hit about 7 or 8 something inside of us sort of clicks if you will. We kind of close off our spiritual light until we decide to open again, and only that you can determine. So when kids see stuff, they see stuff! They aren't going crazy, we aren't hallucinating there are people there, angels, spirits whatever you like to call them. So next time your child says something to you thats a little out of the ordinary, don't be scared by it, start a conversation about it and ask them questions. I guarantee at least 7 out of 10 kids can recall past lives, its just like a sort of knowledge we are born with. Love and Light, good luck.

I understand and know what they saw

i have a twin brother, when i was seven i and my brother was lying in the bed (bunk-beds)

we were in a trance

as if my soul left my body but i could still see from the eyes on my body, i was looking over at another room that ran down the hall way and i found my self looking back at me in the bed, i saw very bright white lights quckly hovering and moving above the doorway and fridge and all over the room but most of all in the coner.

some people can see this i belive it was past people i new who have come to visit me.

my twin brother saw the same !
