I was thumbing through some threads, when it dawned on me that the conversations between members here are from across the globe! This is an updated version of the original thread that can be viewed here. New members and those who have not voted are invited to do so in this new thread.

I hope new members will participate in the poll and let us know where you are from.

I'm living in Nashville TN. Spent most of this life in Florida (Orlando, Naples). I polled "Religion" because there was no "Other" category. lol I've believed in reincarnation for nearly 50 years. It is at the core of a book I've authored about God's divine plan.

Nice to have you here Don. :D We hope you enjoy the space.

Sunniva - I'll add you to the list, since no one else on the forum is from Denmark.

Hi Don,

I've believed in reincarnation for nearly 50 years. It is at the core of a book I've authored about God's divine plan.
I'd love to hear more about your book. Perhaps you could start a new thread in the discussion section and tell us a bit about it. Sounds intriguing ;)

Hi Ophelia and Kaleigh, and welcome to the forum! Would you like to share your personal experience? ;) This is a fun and safe place for doing so, if you wish, and who knows, you might even find people who have lived in the same time and place with whom you can "compare notes". Just pull up a chair, grab a few virtual cookies, and have fun! :)

Kaleigh, do you have memories of your own, or are you just interested in the topic of reincarnation?

Hi Kaleigh and Ophelia,

Welcome to the forum... :)

Ophelia it would be interesting to hear about your personal experience if or when you are comfortable with sharing.

Kaleigh, i'm glad your friend brought you here, is she already a member here?... :)

Have fun reading through the threads, and post whenever you're ready, you'll soon get the hang of it.... ;)

Looking forward to hearing from you again.

Chris... :)

I don't really know what brought me here...

I'm a wiccan. I believe the universe is being conducted by opposite powers and by the circular movement of past, present, future, death, life,...

I'm also terrified by the Nietzschean idea that when you die, you are completely gone. The idea that my soul will not live on unless in my childrens', and then still figuratively speaking, freaks me out. I don't believe him.

I believe, as other wiccans, in the element of Spirit reigning over the world. When I die, I will be taken into the element of Spirit and be a part of it for a couple of (hunderd? thousand?) years. Then I will be reborn.

Uh, anyway. I'm from Flanders, Belgium. I have a friend who believes in reincarnation. And I've seen there are others from Belgium in here as well, so at least I am not alone.

Hi lynxie,

How nice to see a fellow Belgian! there are only few of us here. Welcome !! :)

Hello, All!

I've been reading these posts for weeks, now, just totally fascinated by all the PL memories. I've never had a vivid memory of my own, but I do have some feelings about a couple of lifetimes I think I've had. My problem seems to be relaxation. I'm a teacher, and by the end of the day, I'm so wound up that I can't seem to relax enough to even meditate effectively. I'm hoping maybe some of you pro's can give me a few tips! :) BTW--I'm from Arkansas (USA), and I've read several books about reincarnation over the years. I stumbled upon this site while doing a search for past life stories.

Well, thanks for allowing me to join! Hopefully, I'll have some of my own PL memories to share soon! :)

I'm newly registered here, however I've been lurking here for around 6 years. I started coming here because of some very clear memories I had as a kid. I've forgotten some of it over the years, but I know they're still in my head somewhere, I just have to re-remember them somehow. I didn't realize how unusual it was and what it was I was thinking of then. My mother just thought I was overimaginitive and odd.

a book brought me here

hey everyone! i live in southeast georgia. i'm reading "many lives, many masters" and "messages from the masters" now and i have millions of questions. i never gave reincarnation much thought until reading dr weiss's book but it makes some things more clear. my son at 3 told me, "i'm so glad i picked you to be my mommy and daddy! i knew life would be good but i didn't know it'd be this good!". he's quite an old soul. when asked his age after turning 3, he said, "*big sigh* it's hard to say. there aren't any numbers in my body, just bones and blood and a heart and lungs and other body parts." he's 5.5 now and just as i've read on this forum, he's beginning to "forget". i encourage him to be himself and unafraid of what others think but i guess the pull to fit in is greater.

What brought me here?

Wanting to hear more about others intuitive-memories road/path to understanding and accepting reincarnation as a possibility.

Thanks for resurrecting this thread!

For me it was reading books about spirituality, started with astrology, tarot, then about psychic matters, then about contacting 'the other side', and one thing lead to the other and when I started reading books about past lives, somehow it felt 'right', so I started digging deeper and reading more about it, and so far I've read pretty much all the forum posts ;)

Btw, here: Cyprus - Virpi

you can also add my name to the list for Cyprus

Hello everyone! I'm from Singapore :)

I've had my own experience since childhood and I really hope I can share what I've learn through my own research and my religion as well as my experience.

I also hope I could learn from everyone of you as much about reincarnation as possible cos I've never been able to qunch my thirst for more knowledge. :)

Hello, I'm from Chiang Mai Thailand, my name is Chris but all the Thai people call me Somkid which has a very nice meaning in Thai.

I have been studying "past lives" for many years academically (means I get money, but not much and I work for a university).

I have found very few cases that weren't introduced via suggestion or fantasy i.e. I was Cleopatra, Julius Caesar, from Atlantis and I have met more people that have died on the Titanic than actually died on the Titanic. I'm looking for people that have some kind of recall of being a private in a war not great generals or the slaves that built the pyramids not the pharaohs.

So, that's why I'm here...

It's an older thread, but one I thought new members might want to chime in on and or vote. It demonstrates we are an International community. One of the things I love about this place.

I voted for "I had a personal experience." There have been numerous experiences, mostly dark, of a past life when I was young into turning 11. Then again after getting married and giving birth to my first, my daughter.

There are too many things that exist all around us, and having that sense of knowing and seeing.

After spending a few hours on the website, I finally feel like I am able to finally feel at home with all these unexplained experiences. I feel that I have a chance lifting the heavy darkness.

I'd prefer not to list my location but I voted in the poll. I chose the last option. Some of the others could apply too but none of those was the main reason why I really lurked and joined.

Childpastlives has been a wonderful place for me to relieve some of my built up anxieties regarding to past life memories and I can't even seem to thank you enough for that. :)

I have been dipping in and out of the past life forum for a while and registered a couple of years ago but never got found to posting.

I've always been interested in past lives as I have always had an odd phobia concerning heights ( more to do with high ceilings !! )

and am curious as to where it comes from.

Anyway I am from the UK, England.
