Last night as I lay my nearly two year old daughter down ready for sleep, she said to me with a rather calm face "don't drown me mummy".
{we do water lessons and she shows no fear of water at all - loves it in fact}
I was so shocked I didn't really know what to say {I was trying to imagine where she learnt the word "drown"????}
I replied "I wouldn't do that sweetheart", to which she said "get me out, get me out" (with a bit of urgency this time) and she sat up and got off the bed and walked away to the book shelf to get more books to read, carrying on like nothing had happened.
Even though my daughter is yet to turn two she is fully conversant and has always had that "been here before" quality about her - I certainly didn't expect this though !
I have read Children's Past Lives but I really wasn't prepared for this at all... I'm wondering what I should have / or could have said ???
Thanks for your thoughts, Im still a bit dazzled by it all.
