Dr. Dean Radin is probably the most articulate spokesperson/scientist when it comes to discussing how Science and Academia views the mind/body connection. In this video he reveals that 60-70% of Scientists and Engineers probably secretly believe that psi phenomenon exist, but also reveals the reasons that even the taboo, itself, cannot be openly discussed, which is causing a growing frustration level. However, he believes that this frustration level is growing and may erupt in a few years.

Interesting discussion, John. Funny that we live in a culture where it's assumed that "only ignorant, uneducated, non-critical thinking people believe in stuff like reincarnation" when historically some of the most brilliant, educated minds on the planet have expressed belief in this phenomenon.

It further seems hilarious that many of those folks who laugh at reincarnation (at least in North America) have no problem accepting the idea that you have one lifetime to determine your fate for eternity. If concrete proof of reincarnation is found, it won't be the first time an idea I had as a child was ridiculed until it turned out to be true.
