When I was a baby (a year and a half),I was completely awake and suddenly realized I was in my bed and I remember myself wondering why I was in such a small body while thinking like an adult. I'm not sure whether it was a man or woman thinking. But I believe it was a man and I'm at the time a woman. Who can tell me if this happened to other people ? I'd like to know more about this event and its meaning. Thank you for your help !

I mean it's OK that babies think, just like any human does. But I do not think that all babies remember consciously themselves of a life as an adult man or a woman. I mean I felt like being 40 years old at least in a baby's body. Do you understand better ? Bye.

I believe that a lot of babies remember being adults. I would say, from observing my own 3, that for the most part such memories surface in dreams (and dream like states, like riding in a car) and are carried over into waking state.
My son first spoke of living with his grandma after waking up from a nap, and for a long while every time he was in trouble he'd tell me he wanted to go live with her again.
My daughter seldom speaks of past lives, with her it's more of action, but I've seen several times when she has just woken up that she seems a lot older than 3.
My baby can't speak yet, but usually she wakes up very pleasantly. Asleep one moment, and sitting up quietly looking around the next, to the point that I seldom realize that she is awake unless she comes over to me, but one day she woke up with these heartbreaking cries (according to my husband) when I wasn't home, and nothing he could do would calm her for nearly an hour. When she was exauhsted from crying she sat in his lap and sob/sighed unitl I got home from work and picked her up. She calmed down somewhat, but clung to me for an hour like I was the reason she was crying.

I also believe that many small children retain some of the memories, consciousness, and thought patterns of previous lifetimes. So, I don't think that your experiecne is rare, Virginie. However, I do think that it is rare that you have still have conscious memories of your childhood awarenesses. Far fewer people retain these kinds of memories. The only times I've ever remembered childhood memories like these are when I have consciously gone back into childhood during healing sessions.
Personally I believe that none of us are babies or adults. I believe that we are all eternal souls.

I thank you all for your replies. You are all right. I do not know how and why I did not forget that event since then. Maybe it is because I've lived three lives since 1900! Thus little time was spent totally out of a body recently.
One life ended during the first world war, the second lasted from 1922 till 1969 and from 1970 until I do not know yet.Bye everybody.
