In the early hours of June 6th, I had a dream where I was a veteran at a memorial service with hundreds of other vets. Our uniforms appeared to be older, resembling American WWII fashion. In my dream I met a man whom I had known before, I instantly recognized him; he was my best friend and brother-in-arms. It was an emotional dream, to say the least.
I told my girlfriend Jessica and she found it to be very interesting, suggesting it may be a past life. So, here is the dream, I would love to hear some feedback.
I dreamt I was a veteran of a war, I was in an auditorium resembling a small high school-type theater. There were seats that extended upwards, like a movie theater but with a stage and those seats were filled with people, many of them veterans in uniform. I was in a neverending line of soldiers walking up the stairs alongside the seats, around the back and back down the other side to the exit.
I somehow knew that this was a veteran memorial service. I reached the top of the stairs and I felt like I recognize one of the soldiers sitting at the other side of the top row and I begin to feel excited that it may be someone close to me. As I cross the upper row and begin to descend the opposite staircase, I feel a hand reach out and grab mine. I turn to look but I already know who it is... another veteran soldier that was my best friend, whom i had not seen in years. He is black and I recognize him instantly... we had experienced war together, intense battle(s) where we had saved each other. I knew these things instantly when I saw him and we smiled and hugged. I became very emotional and began to cry, not tears of sorrow but of intense joy. I was so happy to see him and we shared an indescribable bond.
I woke up and remembered this early in the day. I told jess about it and later in the evening she tells me that today is the 75th anniversary of D-Day. My jaw dropped at this realization, and I am now exploring the possibility of having lived in a past life as a soldier.
I do not know if I survived the war, or even if the memorial service was even real. I almost feel as if it was more of a heavenly experience, and that perhaps all of the soldiers in the memorial service had been killed, myself and my friend included. Yet somehow we were able to connect. Perhaps it was a memory, and we both survived. I know when I saw him that it had been years since seeing him, like I had no clue if he survived or not, but was relieved upon seeing him.
I barely recognize his face, but it resembled the actor Don Cheadle, although much younger.
Any help on what my next step should be would be very helpful, I am new to all this. I do believe in reincarnation, as it is the only concept that seems to make sense, as far as life and death goes. This is my first ever experience like this. Thank you so much.
