Trying to understand if this was just a dream or spontaneous past life regression while asleep.

Hi everyone,
First I’d like to say that I am new to the forum..
I was in bed asleep but it’s weird because I also felt awake with rational thoughts.. I was walking down a street, it was a bright beautiful sunny day, I didn’t recognize the town or place, I couldn’t tell if I were male or female, I feel either or, but I remember falling into what seemed like a man hole or some sort of pit, I remember automatically knowing that I’d broken my back and my legs, I remember calling out very loudly Mom, please help me! As my mom is still my go to in times of trouble or non trouble lol, anyway as soon as I called out loud for my mom to help me I woke up, when I woke I tried to reach for my cell phone to call my mom but I realized that I couldn’t, I was paralyzed. I was so scared, as soon as I began to panick I was able to move around, but when I put my feet down on the floor to get up, I almost fell down, because my legs felt broken, for a week while at work I was walking funny and every now and then the pain come back.. My Reiki Master/ Hypnotherapist said that I had a spontaneous past life regression, and that because it was spontaneous, it didn’t disconnect properly, she said that there is a powerful message I need to know. I am thinking of doing a past life regression to understand. Anybody have any idea what this can mean? Oh thank you

Hi Michelle,

Welcome to the forum.

There are a few things that caught my attention in your story: the impact that made this short dream on you in the following days and your feeling paralyzed after waking up.

That feeling paralyzed makes me think of sleep paralysis. This often occurs just before or after an astral trip. If you are not aware of this concept, you could do some research on this.

What follows from this is the possibility that you had this 'dream' while being out of your body. This is not a scary thing because this happens a lot in our sleep. To me, in my view, this means you had your 'dream' in astral realms and in my opinion, our memories of former lives are stored in the astral realm and not in our brains. I carefully formulate this because this is my personal opinion and not a law written in stone.

What we see often is that traumatic deaths or non-processed deaths leave a strong imprint on our energy fields. A lot of us only remember our tragic deaths and not the peaceful ones.

So, there is a possibility that you relived one of your traumatic deaths. Maybe there was a trigger on one of the days before your dream occurred. Can you relate to some kind of trigger?

A warm welcome to you, Michelle!

Do you have any unexplained fears in your current life? Of heights or of dark places (must have been really dark down that manyhole) or anything? This seems to happen quite often when someone has experienced a tragic, traumatic death, like people who drowned in another life may be afraid of water.

It is possible, of course, that your Reiki Master is right and there is something you need to know/overcome from a past life. You could try yourself with meditation or a guided meditation video. Or with a therapist, of course (if you feel comfortable with that and the therapist in question).

Hello fireflydancing,

What you’ve explained sounds very interesting, this makes sense as I could have astral projected and lived through how I died before.. I will read up on astral projection as I really don’t know much about it! I appreciate the welcome and information. Thank you

Hiya SeekerOfKnowledge, thank you for the welcome. Yes, I am afraid of heights! In an instant I am high up on anything or even see someone up high on TV my stomach gets nauseous.. I use to have a fear of being alone, but I’ve work through that one with my Reiki master/hypnotherapist. I thank you for your comment and the help!

I am inclined to agree with @fireflydancing I'm a pretty lucid dreamer and can remember having the same dream before and I'm also quite aware of a great amount of details in the dream, such as floor plans to houses, directions to other locations (say a friends house) and every time I have that dream, the same knowledge will be there. Thinking logically, that's too much information for a dream, or at least your brain to come up with while you're sleeping. It serves no purpose and I think that information has to be stored somewhere.

I think I must also travel out of body quite a bit. I wanted to go to a sports event, but wasn't able to once before. Later, I saw photos of the location it was held at online and knew that I had seen it in a dream. Now did actually go there and check it out? It was a pretty cool venue. Or maybe I accessed someone else's memories, who went there?

I don't know, but I do know anything is possible! especially when you're able to verify details later online. I did that once before with a "trip" my family took to our home town, from our previous lives.

Anyway, don't rule anything out and if you have further dreams, write down as much as you can remember. And once again, I agree! Dreams that you want to pay attention to "haunt" you for many days afterwards.
