A touching event in my life..

I just had something wonderful happen in my life!
I was painting early this am and April my partner of 11 years, came in with her family quilt.
Her Grandpa survived Ravensbruck and came to America in 1952. He took his old clothes when he arrived in America and made a tradition of adding a piece from each family members baby blanket or clothes.
It's now a big quilt.
Since I don't know who are my birth parents, April's family took an old shirt of mine and added it to the quilt. She said quietly, You have us. We are your family.
After 40 plus years, I have a family!
