A trend

I remember reading somewhere that General Patton believed in Reincarnation and Past Lives and that he believed that he had been a soldier (or some sort of fighting type of person).

And I wondered to myself if a Soul (was wired, so to speak) to be inclined to be some type of person, lifetime after lifetime, in General Patton's case, it would be some type of fighting person.

Or a person could be some other type of personality, for instance a person who was a "Healing" type of Soul, for instance a Doctor or Nurse, or in ancient times, a Healer or Root Man or Woman or some other type of healing Soul.

I wonder what causes a Soul to be one or the other, is it a personal choice of the Soul, or is it a need to live a certain life, so as to learn a lesson, such as humility or servitude.

I was just curious, it's early in the Morning and my pains woke me up, I think it's time for some Java, so what do you think, do some Souls favor one type of personality over all other's???

I think if you consider the soul age as an analogy for chronological age and maturity in a single life time, it would make sense that after a period of self discovery and trying out different roles, that you would settle into your over all, long term personality.

I think for me, I've been the same person for quite a long time, going back as far as acient Egypt. However recently, the world has changed drastically in the last 200 years and I've been in a bit if a tail spin trying to adjust to it all.

So I do think you settle into one stable personality, however you also you have to constantly readjust how you relate to the world at that point.

But where does that personality stem from? I'm not sure. I think to an extent those personality or soul "types" are believable, but they do little to explain or acknowledge the complexity that one person trully is. I think it also harkens back to our lack of understanding from where we all originated. Did we all descend from separate, core energy clusters? Or did we all develop and solidify our personalities along the way? I suppose we'll never really get away from the nature or nuture debate, although I feel the answer is somewhere in the middle.

I also wanted to say that I did get your PM a while ago and I am quite sorry I haven't written you back. The last two years and more recently, the last two months, have brought some major changes to my life and I just haven't the time or presence of mind for some things as of late. I just wanted to tell you I am truly sorry about not getting back to you.

No hard feelings on that, Totoro, my last 2 years has had it's up's and down's, I gave up driving (my choice) for the time being because of ever increasing dizzy spells and the med's I take for it, but I would still like to get together.

It would be delightful if ALL of the staff could get together, a kind of "Meet and Greet" Luncheon, but I don't believe that is possible.

Again, NO apology is needed.

Someday I think everyone here in the forum will be getting together for a "Meet and Greet". But it won't be on the physical side. Considering that there are people from all over the world here, including Australia, I think it would be next to impossible to that that in the current lifetime.
