Believing Different Religion Than Upbringing

A co worker of mine just mentioned how its weird that he is converting to Catholicism after being brought up Protestant Christian. I told him its not weird that I was raised by athiest parents but ended up believing. Suddenly Im wondering if reincarnation might have something to do with believing in a different religion than you were brought up with.

Hi Galaxy,

I suppose it is possible, but it could just be due to things you have encountered and ways you have changed in this lifetime.

Cordially,

I believe what happens when someone changes their belief system from the one that they grew up with is because that soul's spiritual consciousness has shifted and change from within. Because of this what they grew up with no longer seems for make any senses to them anymore in terms of how they view and understand reality from a larger scale of awareness. This process is actually very normal especially for souls that are in a mature soul stage of consciousness. They have subconscious access to depths of experience not present in pervious younger soul stages. Consequently, their perceptions are fairly advanced. Rather than look forward and outward like younger souls, they look backward and inward.

This process is how soul evolves through many lifetimes of experiences. In past lifetimes many of us have had belief systems much different than what you are experiencing in the present lifetime. That is because mankind's spiritual consciousness as a whole was much younger and more primal in a sense. God itself remains the same regardless as it is eternal by nature, however as human beings our understanding of God and its relationship to us has evolve over the centuries. Everyone is actually where they need to be in this very moment.
