Tonight I came across a very interesting documentary on youtube created by the BBC.

My Brilliant Brain. Born Genius, Accidental Genius, Made Genius

Every once in a while a child is born that seems to know far too much information for their age and experience.

The parents and experts alike are unsure of where this knowledge comes from.

Having read all of the Past Children's Lives forums, I am beginning to think that in some unusal cases, children are being born with skills that they have developed in a previous life (or lives) that is being carried forward to their new body in special circumstances.

I am pretty much sold on the whole concept of reincarnation and that the spirit of a person carries on from one life to the next after death.

I have my own childhood memory experiences of being an adult stone mason in a previous life that I could not explain to myself at 4 to 5 years of age. There were no carved stone buildings where I lived in Prince George, BC, Canada when these memories began to surface.

At some time during the development of the baby in the womb the spirit merges with the new physical brain at the quantum level giving the new human being consciousness.
(My thoughts on how it happens based on children with past life experiences and NDE accounts.)

Memories from a previous life are sometimes encoded within the memory cells of the new brain. This is how the young children with past life experiences are remembering past life events.

In some special cases, previous life skills also seem to be able to be transferred into the new life. This would be done at the quantum level as well into the correct area of the child's brain.

I say at the quantum level, because the spirit of a person is pure energy based on past life children's accounts and NDE (Near Death Experiences). The life force of the universe = god = universal knowledge also seems to be described all the time as pure energy = light.

So the only way to encode the pure energy signature of the spirit into the human biological brain would be at the quantum level in the human brain structure. (I'm letting my education in physics and engineering come through.)

The physical body being just the biological machine that the new spirit will inhabit for that particular life. The spiritual life force however is completely dependent on that biological body for all of its sensory experiences.

An interesting documentary that I hope generates some interesting discussions on the matter of possible skill transfer from a past life to a new life.

I watch those on Discovery before. Very interesting. And one more program about IQ, the boy could play the piano better than me and at a very young age. Sure, when I started playing the piano at 7, everyone said I was really good.. But that kid is playing Beethoven at the same age! (Maybe even younger, I've forgotten..) I'm very amazed by this.. And yes, one more proof that reincarnation is very real. :D
 
Before I express my opinion, I would, first, like to make it clear that nothing I write here or any place else makes me an expert, and I am not responding as a moderator, but rather simply as a fellow member with an opinion. So, if anything appears to criticize the opinion of another, please don't take it as such; for it is not intended as anything more than offering another possibility.


With that out of the way, I would propose that our memories might actually come from outside the body and, therefore, outside the brain. Although neuroscientists have found electrical activity in certain specific parts of some brains, it doesn't necessarily mean that memories originate from those locations. It merely means that memories are being processed in those locations, perhaps like a computer processes data which is stored in other locations. It is possible from a quantum theory point of view that individual consciousness and memories may be entangled with all parts of our bodies while actually existing in a field of morphic resonance in a totally different dimension that we cannot see or touch in our present three-dimensional reality.


I do agree that some geniuses could serve as excellent examples of possible reincarnation, and I do believe that we all carry with us the essence of previous experience, if not some of the specific memories. But, many geniuses and savants merely seem to exhibit the anomalous ability to process present sensory data in very limited categories while other categories and even common sense and wisdom seem lacking, which leads one to believe that any benefits from reincarnation may also be lacking.


It is often suggested that the brain, as a physical organ, may be nothing more than an electro-chemical quantum computer which receives information from a global consciousness that exists in another dimension, as well as sensory information from our physical world. In addition the brain may also act as a filtering device to limit information from the non physical world in ways that are necessary for each individual's continued spiritual growth as well as physical survival. Unfortunately, however, some brains don't function as they are intended, and some physical beings end up with varying conditions labeled as retardation, savantism and even genius.


While I do believe that many cases of advanced skills may be due in part to memories of past lives, I also feel that we should be careful not to assign every case of genius to anything more than possible physical brain conditions. I am also a strong advocate for the theory that consciousness and memory can exist outside the brain, and that the brain, therefore is not the repository of these things. Just my opinion.

What Nightrain is referring to is what I call 'soul memory' vs 'brain memory'. (note those are just my terms for them).


For example, most of the time we function on what we have learned and remember from things we have experienced in this life (i.e. our brain's memory). But in my case (and others I'm sure) there have been a few instances where I have remembered and/or done things that I cannot explain as my 'brain memory' because I was never taught how to do them, etc. - things I am exceedingly good at in this life, without being taught, and have no possible reason to be. I call this my 'soul memory'.


Don't know if that helps in this thread at all or not... :thumbsup:
 
Well written Nightrain! I am leaning in that direction myself. Only because when I became aware of some of my past lives, it really felt like they were downloaded into my conscious mind from my soul. In one case there was even a back and forth between my current consciousness and my soul.
 
From an early age I have been interested in all kinds of fibre crafts (among other things). Sewing, knitting, crochet, spinning, felting, etc. I have done them all with great gusto. Each time I learned a "new" skill I became proficient almost immediately. This is not boasting. It was almost as if I was "remembering" the skill and practising it once again. Some years ago I did a meditation and saw myself as a weaver in a simple stone building, working on an earth floor. I saw glimpses of myself as an artisan in other lives as well. Incidentally I grew up in a family where no-one had these skills to hand down to me. :laugh:
 
I've just watched that young boy musician and thought "Good..very good...at any age ...never mind such a young age". So - there's obviously natural talent in there and two other factors (inheritance from mother and mother is one of those Chinese "Tiger mothers" - ie pushing their child extremely hard).


That 10 year old opera star - Crikey...I was glancing round the picture trying to work out if they could possibly be dubbing some other persons voice onto her. But - if she's for real and it really is her voice (as would appear to be the case) - then she's good/very good indeed. Add that she's also very attractive and clearly enjoys this - then that's her future career set for life then. I'm surprised we havent heard about her here in Britain at all yet - this is the first time I've come across mention of her.
 
I live about an hour from her home near Pittsburgh, Pa and I can guarantee she is indeed the real thing.


She was asked on America's Got Talent to prove that she is for real. The video is below.

 
I've just seen a post on another Forum by a woman complaining that she hasn't got the "home-making" talents of her burly ex-biker brother. She says he's expert at cross-stitch and does it fast and freehand and can do one in an evening (she showed photos of his work to prove his level of skill - yep....he's good) and he's now taken up knitting and is equaly good at that.


The rest of the family simply don't know where his skills came from.....


Who'd a thought that a talented home-maker woman would reincarnate as a burly biker?:laugh:
 
I often thought about that subject, natural talents coming from past lives. I always loved reading and writing and everything that has to do with languages. I remember being fascinated with words at age 4 when I saw people write fast. There were no reason for me to want to read and get books as there were few around the house. Nobody in my family is intellectual. I always wonder where it is coming from.
 
Jackie is for real. Aili was talking to her and her parents long before Americas got talent. Cute kid and what a voice!
