Canadian Pilot

Thank you for posting that, Dave. That's so cool to see a picture of you with your squadron. Have you seen a picture of your past self up close enough to tell if there is any physical resemblance between your current self, and your past life?. It's one of the issues that we have examined on the forum. From my understanding, the resemblance would be in facial features and the eyes, more than coloring or body build. A physical resemblance may not always be there, but it happens often enough to be notable.
I have a picture which although poor quality is a closeup and oddly there is a striking similarity both to me when very young and even more oddly, to my mom who I looked like. I now look like my dad and nothing like my mom at all. As you said, the eyes and other facial features when I was young were very similar but as I got older those similarities have gone.

I spent hours looking at several pictures trying to identify me in that group. When it finally came I realized that I actually stick out like a sore thumb. I am dead center and the only one not wearing a hat. Improperly dressed on parade !!. That is me to a T if you ask anyone that knows me today.

I instinctively drive with my right hand and my left firmly on the gear stick. In my aircraft the throttles, trim and pitch controls lay on the left and the yolk held in the right hand. I can't break the habit and it got me yelled at when learning to drive. I always look to my left when I start the car, I guess looking left to see my port engine, always the first one fired up.

I have had some fleeting recollections recently, and what is really strange and a bit bewildering is I am in two places at once !. The last moments of my life and after are all I am definite about. My earlier times such as childhood, family and friends in Canada are more vague and I feel uncertain some times. I see myself seeing myself. I am a very young lad in the house where I spent my earliest years, its always night time and I am experiencing being the young lad seeing myself in my aircraft during pre flight after signing for the aircraft, then the moments before the crash and then nothing.

There is an expansive feeling, almost infinite yet microscopically small, the sensation of moving at incredible speed yet almost motionless. The noise like the blood rushing through your veins with a deafening Chaaa Chaaa Chaaa sound ringing in my ears.

I become aware of looking into the room in the house where my parents lived but I am not born yet, I am indulging in a conversation to someone to the side of me to the effect that this will be my family and my home, if I'm sure it's what I want. The dialog is silent if that makes any sense.

I am at my burial, that person beside me is talking but as always its like a silent movie, there is no sound or spoken words I can remember yet there is some kind of dialog. I am witness to events I am not part of yet I am present at them. My navigator is there, some squadron friends are there, an officer, a minister, and the young woman.

I could take you to the exact spot. I could walk you from the train station to my graveside. The memory of that one event above all others is so clear. There have been misty eyed moments recently, and although I don't fear going there, I just know when I do I will break down.

Sounds like you are / were "out of body" having a telepathic conversation with your spirit guide or guardian angel. Sounds normal to me.

For clarity, when you speak of being told that the house you are seeing will be your home, is it before Stuart's life, or your current one? Again, Wow!

My current one. I have heard a number of examples (I am just hearing of another) where people, particularly children have varying degrees of memories about choosing their parent(s). I seem to remember something of choosing mine but not much.

That is one area I don't dwell on too much...

this thread is awesome !!!

thank you for sharing so openly.

i've really enjoyed this place and reading stories like yours. the photo is incredible too. i'm so glad to read of all the help you've received in being able to figure things out. many thank yous =)

I think your memory of being "between" is really important. The whole account of your story is so clear and well-researched that it gives credibility to what you experienced between lives, also. Little children do talk about picking their parents, mine included. You never know if they are just being endearing, or telling you something factual. By the way, I had a synchronicity yesterday. I read your last post, picked up a novel, and read an account of a woman running to the ruins of a Spitfire that the man she loved had just crashed, and died in. The novel was set 140 years into the future, so it came out of left field. I always take a synchronicity like that to mean that everything is going according to plan. It's good that your story is recorded here, Dave. It could help a lot of people grow in their understanding.

I think I can let a little more out now. From an entry in the Toronto Daily Star from November 28th 1944 I've confirmed the area Stuart lived in with his parents in Canada.

It has been completely redeveloped after 70 years so no one and nothing remains of old, which in a way is sad. Therefore It's highly unlikely to upset anyone telling you that we lived a 1338 Oullette Ave, Windsor, Ontario.

As always anyone is free to look for themselves. As I told you privately the only reason I don't go full disclosure on this is because it can be directly linked to me personally and I simply don't want the hassle. But I do want to help and encourage others all I can. The general perception of us is we are either insane or on drugs. Nothing could be further from the truth and I know what a lonely road self discovery like this truly is.

Other cultures don't have the pitfalls we 'advanced' ones do.

That's beginning to change, thanks to the internet and the families who are now willing to go public with their stories. It's hard to disprove 3 and 4 year olds who come up with facts and names that can be researched online. 10 or 20 years ago this was impossible.

As always, Dave - it's whatever you are comfortable revealing. It was nice to see your old address. I think you are right, and it was so long ago that no one would be affected.

In the grand scheme nothing I have said or revealed actually proves my claim at all, at least not to the closed minded and those who follow the modern religion called science. I can read a book or study a subject and claim a past life experience, anyone could, but you would have to be nuts. Who would you be trying to fool?. Ultimately no one, and what an exercise in futility that would be.

As you rightly say, you simply cannot disprove a small child.

I know someone right now who's 2 year old is seemingly obsessed with trains, the old steam trains. And it's not just a child' fascination. He knows all about steam trains, everything is trains, he eats sleeps and breaths trains. And until very recently he had never actually seen a real one.

With us adults its different. But we don't actually have to prove anything, least of all to our selves. And I certainly don't need anyone to prove anything to me. We have all been here before, and we will be here again. We're just prevented from knowing it. Imagine what an Earth shattering thing it would be if everyone woke up to the cold stark realization that this life is NOT all there is. Far from it. Where would those who control our destiny be then? !. And the paddle store is closed ;)

Just had some more information confirmed. I did have a sister, Her name was Eve (Evelyn) She was two years my elder and she died in 2009 aged 90.

Most importantly my feeling that I lost my mom around 1929 is also confirmed. She died in 1929.

I was 8 and Eve was 10. Mom was 38. I have just seen a picture of Eve. Incredible.

BriarRose said:
That is incredible. All the pieces are coming together. Did Eve have children?
There are/ were children. They would be in their 60's or 70's themselves now. There is another synchronicity here. She died in Peterborough Ontario. Stuart died in the district of Peterborough UK. The city of Peterborough Cambridgeshire is just a short hop West of where he crashed, which lies mid way between Peterborough and Downham Market airfield.

Oh, my gosh! I'm currently reading a book on synchronicity. The tapestry that makes up the universe continues to amaze. So, you have nieces and nephews who are older than you are now. In fiction, I always find that situation intriguing - an "immortal" having children "older" than they are. It reminds me that we are all immortal.

Someone has whined about copyright cover face so I've removed the picture until I can find one that no one can whine about saywhat
Well I saw it before someone whined about it! Not knowing what you look like today, I could still make out who you were BEFORE I read your actual description.

That is interesting. What was your first conclusion?.

Here is the image again... I'm past caring ;)

There are I think 97 in the picture comprising just air crews and officers. The squadron was about 160

including ground crews and auxiliaries at Thornaby where 608 was stationed in 1943. Numbers varied

quite a bit for obvious reasons. This picture was taken in Blida North Africa. The aircraft is a Lockheed

Hudson. 608 didn't become a Mosquito squadron until August 1944.

I have decided to go to Brookwood military cemetery on the 31st. It will be the closing of the chapter, that's the plan anyway. There have been three key images that have been with me since I was very small and are as clear now as then, and which have brought me to where I am today seeking answers. They are of seconds before I crashed, the moments after I crashed and my burial.

The images of after the crash are the aircraft is upside down, my navigator is injured but conscious and I am lapsing unconscious but able to distinguish for myself the situation.

In his book 'Strike Hard - A Bomber Airfield at War' by John Hilling, I discovered recently, which gives a historical account of RAF Downham Market from 1942 to 1946. In it there is a direct reference and my aircraft was indeed upside down and I was alive after the crash. Here is a direct quote.

"Because of the radio silence rule no one knew anything had gone wrong until it was noted that the plane had failed to return from the raid. The crew were posted as missing. Next morning the Mosquito was discovered upside down in a field near to Friday Bridge. The pilot and the navigator were still alive but both very badly injured. It had been a bitterly cold night, however, and the effect of this, together with the injuries sustained, proved fatal for the pilot and he died soon after being found."

BriarRose said:
You didn't die alone, Dave. That is something. Have you ever sensed your co-pilot's energy in anyone?
Not really no. It was my navigator Flying Officer Campbell. No co-pilots in those days, even in Lancaster's which had a pilot and flight engineer. I know he survived the crash and most likely the war. He was very badly injured and this was near the end of 1944 so I doubt he would have been flying before wars end in the start of May 1945.

He was an RAFVR reservist and bomber command was comprised entirely of volunteers so I suspect he was posted to other duty or medically relieved. There is no record of him to speak of that I can find.

A six hour round trip and another lifetimes memories finally makes some kind of sense. I cant explain right now why I cried, it wasn't sadness, but I did.DSCN0409.jpg

I want to cry for him, and for you, but they are partly tears of joy, and gratitude that your story has come full circle. Your grave looks very well-kept. I am glad that your remains are treated with respect.

Had what seems to be my first very clear recollection of home today which came to me as I was making lunch. I'm a young lad watching Mom and another lady in the kitchen. A huge pan of jam is on the stove, there is soft fruit and Mason jars everywhere.

At the table the lady is cleaning and peeling fruit and tossing it in to an identical large pan on the table as Mom rolls pastry. The atmosphere is of fun and laughter.

Tomorrow is Veteran's Day in the U.S. Remember when it was called "Armistice Day"? Your mom was canning. My mother did that every year when I was very young. Grandma helped.

There has been an inexplicable gap between my passing and my burial at Brookwood and although I don't have much by way of recollections of that 'gap' period I have found the reason for it, which also supports the clear memory I do have of that time.

On my recent visit I knew exactly where to find me, in fact I took a photo from the exact spot where I watched the events take place. That was unsettling.

One thing really upset me recently though, and that was discovering that Malcolm MacLean and Richard Todd who had been flying the aircraft I was killed in where themselves both killed in March 1945 when their aircraft crashed in Belgium.

Maybe the plane was jinxed.
Had been ok until the night I flew it on the 10th November. Last operation it flew was on the 8th to Berlin with Todd and Maclean. It was a write of on the 10th never to fly again. No way of ever knowing but something happened on the 8th I think that somehow affected it's serviceability badly. Just a hunch.

No operations on the 9th. Change in schedule and crews on the 10th. Went from evening to night operations. My (our) first night back after a stand down of at least ten days and first operation in November, relieving MacLean and Todd. Had we still been on the previous time schedule we would have crashed in daylight and I most likely have survived. Had it been another night MacLean and Todd may have died in my place. So many variables.

Whenever you mention November 10th, I get "goose flesh". That's the birth date of one of my children. I realize it must be coincidence, but still! I think it's very telling that you died tragically on that date, and were reborn in this life on the same date.

Something fascinating has happened recently and I'm at a loss what to make of it.

I recently made the acquaintance of someone via a mutual friend and we found ourselves alone. The conversation was remarkable in as much as it was as though we had known each other for always yet neither knew of the others existence until this meeting. Yet, the meeting was one of being completely at ease with a very close and intimate old friend.

Anyway... to cut a long story short, she has added me to her face book page where I am able to view her photo album. Low and behold she belongs to a group of people who like to re-enact the 1940's, right down to clothes, uniforms and vehicles. The really amazing thing is they are all in either civilian dress or RAF uniforms. Hows that for coincidence. I feel sure I knew her as she was.
