Children who see Inner Light

My post on imagery -- pictured during PL regression.

Deborah said:
I have posted a similar question about a year ago, but since there are so many new members on the forum I thought I would post it again.

Through out history, from ancient times to the present, LIGHT has been an elusive a fascinating subject. Religion, science, mythology, literature and painting all struggle to understand and to identify the connection between the outer light of nature and the inner light of the human spirit.

My own children speak of the LIGHT within their third eye region. My son has seen balls of light that move very fast and so has my nephew. When doing meditations and PL regressions, I go in to the "light" as well.

My question is - does anyone out there have children who "see" light. Balls of light that move very fast? Light seen within the third eye region (with their eyes closed)? Do they even maybe.... see auras?

There is a method to my madness Carol :) I see a connection and I am hoping that others will post their children's experiences. If so, I'll bring it together.

Hello Deborah,

Thank-you for bumping-up this discussion. I had added an avatar of the imagery I imagine during PL regression. My latest post discusses how the 'light at the end of the tunnel' effects may be favorable to picture for past-life (or at least vivid deja-vu) recall attempts.

Are there other examples of images that people have found helpful for regression exercises?

Thank-you
Marc

Ya know, this discussion just keeps getting more interesting. I discovered last night how much little things can be completely overlooked. Someone had mentioned earlier that children probably do not mention seeing colors because they believe what they are seeing is common.

Last night, I finally asked Anthony for Elaboration on the green lights he sees. He described them just as I did as a kid so then I aked him if he saw any other types of lights. His response was that he often sees a large green light in the shape of a witch to his left.. (now we all know, this isn't a witch but the shape he sees reminds him of one anyway) He said he's not scared of it though, he just see's it all the time and he said he also has seen a large blue light above him shaped like a snow man (we also know this wasn't a snow man, probably 2-3 balls of light bunched together and to him thats a snow man..this is what i gather anyway) So then he continues to elaborate and I was floored... This was a great validation for me anyway.

Anthony told me that he sees colors in different rooms or areas but he does not see these colors in the daytime, the room must be dark or shaded. I asked him what colors he saw and he said without any pause, "Orange, green, yellow and blue." Isn't that the ora colors?? So he's sees energy maybe within a specific location or room. He says my room has a combination of almost all the colors.

At the end of the coversation I tried repeating the colors back to him to make sure I remembered correctly but I input Red instead of orange on accident. He corrected me with a quickness!! lol.

Now see, if I hadn't of been directed by Deborah to check into this thread, I would never have given 2nd thought to the coincedence of Anthony and I seeing green lights, nor would I ever have asked him if he saw any additional lights.

Can you imagine how many amazing things bypass parents and individuals everyday because these sweet soals just assume we know what they do....... :)

recrating imagery

Any attempts to recreate the images of lights using digital photography software? I have found it most fascinating to recreate meditation imagery (very similar to my avatar).

HI Crissy,

In my mind - it means you are blessed with a child - who may be your teacher. Children make the the best teachers - and I know I have learned from my own.

There are many different types of Light experiences Crissy - but the type your son describes comes from within. I hope you are recording his experiences and reading all you can to help him understand it..........which in turn will also help you. Life is truly a Blessing. :)

You know Deborah, the hardest thing for me is speak with my kids. As odd as that sounds, I've often times have no clue what to say and if I do have something to say, it's very short and to the point because most of the time, I know what I want to say, but don't know how to explain it on their level. I'm working on that though. And Yes, I am very blessed and I can see him teaching me a whole lot.

And just to let you know Marc Ross, If I knew how to recreate the images of lights using digital photography software, I'd let you know but I'm not one of them. Maybe someone else will know but I must ask you..How would you recreate meditation imagery? Do you mean recreating what you see while meditating?

Hello Crissy,

Most of the images observed during meditation are quite simple to recreate. Images are mostly of a collage variety; like the art projects many of us had back in grammar school.

It may be possible to find existing images online which may be helpful for regression exercises. e.g., the content of new-age-themed sites has images worth consideration.

What's fascinating about this imagery is that such basic patterns, shapes, colors, etc. can convey such profound feelings.

While I was creating and editing my avatar, the imagery was so striking that I almost jumped from my chair. I even briefly felt it may be necessary to wear sunglasses to complete my project; as the differences between light and darkness were also striking.

Visual imagery is what is processed by the brain most readily; and even basic digital photography (including other people's work) offers plenty of opportunities to experiment.

Smell is the next best thing the brain processes; and yes there have been possible PL cases involving smell association. That is a whole other topic for discussion.

Marc

Hi all,

I see a blue light next to me, especially at night time.
At first I thought it was my imagination, so I did many tests when it was around and indeed it was there as ‘live’ as can be.

At first I start seeing it a lot around my bed at night, than I saw it all the time, it never left me, but I saw it only when I was alone.
I really couldn’t understand why it was there, till one time I had an OBE, for the first time I let my body drift away with the sensation. At first everything turned pitch dark and I felt strong vibration, I was waiting for something… Than, Out of NOWHERE that blue light that I see around me showed up. It appeared in front of me in the size I usually see it, than it grew bigger and bigger and turned almost completely white till it exploded shooting sparks of light everywhere. I was in front of it in what seemed to be a dark tunnel and knew I been there in front of this light MANY MANY times before.

I also felt like I was a little girl again, very little and knew I used to go there a lot.. For some reason it scared me because I wasn’t ready for it, I decided to end it and it was gone in an instance. I stopped seeing the blue light till recently it start showing up again. I just need to accept it.

I do remember as a child seeing lights over my bed at night but I can’t remember the details, I just remember seeing lights, few lights sometimes. I do remember, at one point as a child I was afraid to look into the darkness because if I will I would find myself drifting somewhere else, I didn‘t know where, I just knew it would happen. Now I know after many experiences what it meant.

It is so funny how up to a certain age we find those unusual events to be a normal part of life, I think most kids accept it as a normal thing till they get to a certain age.

Crissy, that is wonderful your sons talk about the lights they see, they can definately teach you a lot, in what age did they start talking about it?

Any attempts to recreate the images of lights using digital photography software.

I am afraid – I do not see any correlation between the topic of this thread – which is about seeing Inner Light, and the question posed above.

Seeing Inner Light – is not something that can be re-created --even by the best digital processes in the world. It is something that is experienced from within – not from without.

Most of the images observed during meditation are quite simple to recreate.

I have to disagree with this – completely. The Light I see is formed in complex geometrical shapes and patterns – they are interwoven, fluid in motion and ever-changing. To attempt to re-create the visual would be impossible -- and even if one came close -- how I experienced it would be completely changed -- it would still be a computer generated reproduction viewed from outside the self -- not the same at all, imo.

Ailish

I have to agree with Ailish. Re-creating something still leaves it just something that you can see. The light that is experienced is something that is felt.

Vicky

I agree with Aili. Inner light is not something that can be consciously created or recreated. It is not a matter of imagination - or fantasy or forced visuals.

There are many different types of Light experiences, some perhaps are auras, some spirits and or guardian angels. But -- Inner Light comes from within the being - and is experienced as an expansion of self and a connection to the whole, a doorway beyond time and space.

I have several records of children's experiences that parents have shared with me - where the light is a healing force, a guiding force, a loving source. Inner Light is the manifestation of Love/God/The Source from within. It cannot be conjured.

Children who experience Inner Light - express their awareness of it with wonder, JOY and peace. Nothing forced their experience; nothing. The innocence and purity of the child's soul enabled them to experience it and possibly to remember who they are at a much deeper level.

I encourage all parents whose children experience light within, to talk to them about it. Research it, help them to take the evolutionary leap.

I also agree with Aili and everyone else. I'm a writer, and on my best day I can't even begin to adequately describe the inner light I experience, much less the emotional peace and calm I receive. I would imagine that each of us experiences these lights in our own unique way. I doubt that any imaging equipment could begin to replicate what any of us experience.

The purpose of re-creating imagery.

Hello everybody,

Just to clarify, re-creating the imagery we see during mediation (on digital software) may be attempts to transform abstract imagry seen in the unconscious, into concrete, tangible forms.

These re-recated images can be incorporated into meditation imagery; which may influence subsequent imagery from the unconscious.

Of course, much of the imagery people have found helpful to imagine for meditation is often associated with new-age, mystical-themed content; long-known long-before digital software.

The purpose here of recreating imagery may be debatable; to bridge the conscious, with the subsconscious, with the unconscious.

Anyways, I don't want to split-hairs in trying to describe cause and effect of mediation/regression experiences.

As I said in an earlier post; while creating my avatar, the imagery felt every-bit as striking as an active mediation experience; during a conscious fully-awake state...WHOA!

Thank-you

Hi,
What is meant by Inner Light? Deborah and Aillish, when you speak of going into it, what is the process used? What's the method? How is it experienced? Is it useful for something other than retrieving memories too?

The other kinds of light mentioned are auras, projections, orbs, spirit lights, and such. These are not what you two are describing, is that right?

Thanks for any clarity you can give me. I looked for the other thread that was mentioned but couldn't find it as the Everything Else section must've been deleted in the site renovations. I'll keep looking though.

Thanks again!
Wulfie

Right - I will respond later tonight. I have classes all day today. In the mean time, I am sure Ailish will put forth wonderful insight. ;).

Hi Wulfie –

What is meant by Inner Light?

Inner Light – is the Light that you see from within yourself.

For example – when I meditate my eyes are closed but I see Light – colors and shapes that are continuously changing. It comes from an internal source – not external.

In the Quaker doctrine, they define Inner Light as : "The belief, the presence of God as a guiding force within the human soul." My interpretation of it is a little bit different -- I see Light as being consciousness -- the representation of our connection to the Universe.

when you speak of going into it, what is the process used?

By entering into it – I mean - merging with that Light source. It’s really hard to describe it in words – but it’s like seeing the Light – looking past it and moving into it at the same time. By going into the Light – I am in essence, going deeper within myself – into my heart center. I believe -- Inner Light resides deep within the heart energy.

In Apollo's temple at Delphi it is written: "Know thyself; seek within, and ye shall find. Look to yourself, and all you seek shall be revealed."

Essentially -- we are all born with inner knowledge -- and the way to that knowledge is through ourselves. It's not seeking an outside source -- but accessing that which we already have inside.

How is it experienced?

From within. We are beings of energy. We are Light – each one of us. Each cell in our body emits Light and every organ, cell, nerve, muscle has its own vibration and frequency. When I see Light -- my entire body is vibrating on a different frequency -- connecting on a different level of conscious awareness.

You may be interested in reading a book called Return of the Children of Light by Judith Bluestone Polich. In the book she writes:

"Eastern teachings tell us that the living light is encoded in our form. The ancient concept of the macrocosm as microcosm … tells us that the greater divine [light] is reflected in the human body. Expressed in another manner, this means that … the spiritual human … has encoded within it a divine blueprint.”

I hope that helps -- and answers at least some of your questions.

Aili :)

HI Wulfie,

The light I experience looks very similar to the Blue Light in this link. It is intense and constantly in flux; I experience it as the source of my Being.

Think of a light bulb. When electricity turns on a light bulb, the center of the bulb is what lights up - not the exterior. The same applies to Inner Light, the source is not outside of us; it is in the Center, the Seat of the Soul, the Heart.

For me, the Blue Light is a doorway into past lives, but really, any expanded state of consciousness is possible when enfolding into it.

The following is the only method I use, I am not trained in any methods. I lay flat, cross my hands over my chest (heart area) and listen to the original "OM" CD. I experience Light often throughout the day - meditation is not always required. I listen for the sound of silence, let go and let God which takes me deep into my heart. I look within, not outside of myself, and the deeper I go - the wider the experience which can become multi-leveled. I do not know how I know how to do this, it seems to come naturally.

Experiencing Inner Light is not necessary for experiencing past lives; it is just how Aili and I do, and possibly others. I do not however, think it is required.

Wulfie, the Blue Light Deborah linked to is exactly what I see when I meditate. The best way I can explain going into the light would be to compare it with being outdoors on a very foggy night. The fog will slowly envelope you, or surround you, and you seem to become a part of the fog, and the fog a part of you. While the Blue Light isn't hazy like the fog, it does encompass you much like the fog would. All I have to do for this to happen is to close my eyes, clear my mind, and focus inward. The calm is the most peaceful experience I've ever known.

John

I'm glad we could help, Wulfie. :)

Feel free to ask more questions if you are curious. We don't always have the answers and can only share our own experiences -- but we will always do our best to try and answer. ;)

I'm still unsure whether I see light, or whether it's something else. I think the reason for this is because I've been able to see it throughout my whole life, and I've never questioned it because I thought it was just something that everyone could see.

I've read through most of this thread, and I can relate to some of the posts here. I often see bright pinpoints of light, swirling round like a swarm of fireflies. I see large numbers of coloured dots, usually red and green, floating past, usually with my eyes closed, but if i'm in a very darkened room, I can see with my eyes open too.

I sometimes see different shapes, and they're usually green, and they pulsate and change shape.

I could see all these things much brighter when I was a child, but they've faded a lot as I've got older, but even now, I can close my eyes or concentrate, and I can see it within seconds.

I have a question for others who see light. Say for example you can see a ball of light in front of you, can you turn your head and look away from it, or does the light stay in your field of vision, whichever way you look? Sorry if it's a dumb question, i'm just trying to understand better what others can see, and also help to confirm what I can see.

That's a completely justifiable and very good question! I'm anxious to see the responses. I never even thought to look away from the lights I've seen. :o That gives me something to look forward to trying!

I see them all the time

Hi everyone,

I have seen lights (Not balls, but more flat flashes.) My sister has seen them too but she only saw them when I was 10-11, I have seen them since I was 10-11. Started out in the shower and my mom and my sis and I tried to think of anything to explain it and we couldn't. My sister started seeing them around the same time. For the most part I see them in the shower on the wall. It's kinda creepy when your at your most exposed to see these lights, at first I was afraid of them, but now I am fine if I don't happen to be in the shower/bathroom.

I also saw an orb in my room in the same spot 2 years later, it was blue. I always saw it when the hall light and my bedroom light were off and I was walking past my bedroom. (I would see it in the doorway) (I might have gotten off subject, but thought it could fall under the same lines)

I can sometimes, but not very much, see what I think are auras, the ones I see are not very big and hey are hard to see (no color).

Hopefully I don't sound like a complete nut  going on and on about this, but it caught my attention and I relate to this.

Good Question Deborah.

oh and the lights I see are white.
Oh and I see them with my eyes open, not closed

Chris, you are the 1st person I have seen who also see's the green lights and you describe them just as my son does as you'll see below only in a little different wording.

In my personal experience -- the whole room contains Light. It is both inside of me -- and outside of me. I see it -- with eyes open and eyes closed. There are different ways I see Light, and how it's manifested depends on a few different things. ;)

Most often, late at night it is blue -- with little sparkles, and is around the edges of the ceiling and walls. It is fluid and constantly changing, so the swirls & geometric patterns I see are never in the same place. When I see Light -- it's always in my field of vision -- both inner and outer ;)

When I was at a good friend's house -- we both woke up at exactly the same time in the middle of the night and noticed there was blue Light in the room...the next morning we compared notes -- and kind of giggled over the fact we had seen it in our separate rooms at the exact same time and the intensity had woken us up. ;)

This is a wonderful thread...and for me personally, a very important part of the journey. ;)

Do any new members have experiences with Light they'd like to share? Perhaps something they experienced as children or with their own children?

Aili

I've become quite fascinated with the concept of inner light. I am particularly interested in the teachings of Chassidism that focus on the concept of inner light and bringing light to the darkness of this world. Usually, religious teaching repel me, but this teaching seemed more logical than dogmatic. If I understood it correctly, our purpose on this earth is to bring light to the darkness and help others to see their own inner light.

I don't know about seeing balls of light, but when I was younger I could sort of see 'auras' of energy around people, although now that I look back on it, that could have just been a trick of my eyes, as I can also see these ghostly 'auras' around other things, and particularly animals. Yeah, I think it was more just a trick of the eye. I don't think chairs have auras!
