Children's awareness?

I don't know much about children in reference to past lives or how long they maintain a sensitivity or awareness about things beyond the tangible. But lately, it seems like my gender has become an issue with my son.

Just FYI, my son was my brother and I was his older sister in our previous lives.

Over the last year he's made several references to me, but not in the way you'd expect, if we were talking about past lives. It's actually sort of the reverse, in that he seems afraid of losing our connection as we have it now.

For instance, the other week, I made a pot of tea and he had practically snatched out of my hands to pour himself a cup. Of course, I was upset at him for nearly spilling it and being impulsive, but instead he was reduced to tears as if it were some form of personal rejection from me.

As far as my gender goes, he's keen to point out things that he feels doesn't fit with what my gender is, male in this case, such as wearing my wedding ring, me telling my wife that I needed to start trimming my eyebrows (they're getting wild!) and even once he burst into my bedroom while I was changing and he accused me of wearing women's underwear, even though I wear the same briefs he does!

These remarks have made me feel uncomfortable, but I've chalked it up to him perhaps trying to align himself to (and feel secure in) this life while having memories of his old.

However this past weekend, he had a couple of friends over from down the street. I had done some house work and sat down on the couch to take a break when just a few seconds later his friend (a girl of about 9-10, the same age as my son) says to me "you know you're not a real girl". Playfully and shocked I said, "excuse me? are you talking to me?" She then said "yea, you look like a girl, but you're not a real one".

Needless to say, I was completely dumbfounded! Could both of them be seeing or sensing something in me that others don't? I could understand it being memories with my son, but both of them?

Hmmm....Well, I know a lot of people say children 'forget' their PL's by age 6 or so, but that was and is not the case with my brother and I. Now young adults, we still have PL memories come up, in dreams or full on flashbacks.

As for your son and his odd behavior, it could be either or both of two things. One, he (at age 9-10) has heard other boys at school make fun of anything 'girly', as well as any boy who is not 'masculine enough' for them, thus he is repeating things that are influenced around him. Two, he really could still be feeling the effects of your PL's together...Or maybe a bit of both. As for the neighbor girl, who knows!

Accept him for who he is, and listen closely for any other clues he gives you...And keep us updated on them!

I wondered about that too, but he doesn't have any problem trying to get attention by playing games like "if I did this would it make me a girl?"

It's the sense of panic he seems to have that is centered on our relationship that makes me wonder. At the same time, he's also quite proud of all the connections he has with me, so I think in that way they're connected.

I also died when I was 40 and that's something I know he felt bad about, so I think that may have something to do with his fear of losing me.

I know even for me as an adult, it's been hard coming to terms with everything as it quite literally felt like my reality was coming unhinged. So from that perspective, I can see how his worry may manifest itself and relate itself in this lifetime.

I seem to have quite a few synchronicities regarding my gender, which sort of folds back into that discussion about the auras. And I suppose i'm asking in this thread if kids are sensitive to them, more so than the average adult.

I would say, yes - children are more sensitive to peoples energy. Doesn't mean adults can't be, I just see more kids that are then adults.

Auras have always been a favorite subject of mine, due in part to seeing them as a child myself, and it wasn’t discovered that I needed glasses (but did not like wearing them) until I first entered school years ago, so before that, everything was slightly out of focus, perfect IMO for seeing Aura’s and I did.

Most children (usually under the age of 6), some gifted Adults, and possibly animals ALL have the ability to SEE Auras, how they interpret them seems to be the mystery.

IMHO, I personally believe that while animals and very young children understand Auras on a very basic level, they don’t seem to understand the ramifications of a particular color or pattern, but they seem to react to them accordingly.

For illustration purposes only, if a particular person is KNOWN to be a mean and despicable person all round and animals and young children react to that person in a negative fashion, then they must be seeing something.

What information they are deriving from their seeing is open for further research and discussion, and likewise, on the opposite end, if a person is known to be a good person all round and animals and young children react to that person in a positive fashion, then they must be seeing something also.

As the children grow older, there may be some insight to different colors and if they retain this ability through to Adulthood, then there may be more understanding even further.

Years ago I knew an slightly older lady who was sort of a “Hippie Earth Mother” type and we were good friends and I was always amazed how animals and children gravitated towards her in public with no fear whatsoever.

Now she did dress in a conservative manner befitting her age (she was older than me) but that was certainly not the draw, there was something else there!

Perhaps my dislike of wearing glasses (other than my appearance) was that if I wore them, I would no longer see the Aura's, interesting thought.

Sorry for the longish post and these opinions are my own and do not necessarily represent the Past Life Forum.

I can see aura's when I concentrate on them, but I do see them a bit better when my eyes are a little unfocused.

As for the original post my hunch is that the girl probably has some psychic ability, but doesn't yet know how to interpret what she's seeing/feeling.

I have often wondered what little children/animals see when they look at me. In fact, I said the very same thing to a friend of mine the other day. Little kids and young children love me. They seem to gravitate towards me wherever I go. I have had parents tell me that their children don't usually respond to strangers in that way.

On the other hand, animals just don't seem to like me. Particularly dogs. We had 3 dogs, and they all were scared of me for some reason. Always flinched when I came around, and sometimes even growled. I have been bitten 4 times by dogs in my life. All small dogs that the owners said are very friendly and wouldn't bite anyone. I would bend over to pet them, and I would get attacked. It really makes no sense to me.

You could simply be approaching the dogs wrong. Little dogs do tend to bite faster than big ones, at least in my experience. Remember that to the dog you are a huge giant that is coming at them and they are reacting to that threat.

A couple of years I took my son with me to pick up my pay check from the home of a person that I did some work for. We walked into the house, and as we waited for the check, his dog came running out of the room. It immediately ran past my son and jumped and bit me on the shin. I didn't do anything to the dog. I didn't even notice that he was in the room until he was right up on me.
It could definitely be as you say Mama2HRB(I actually do hope that is the case), but when my wife is petting a dog and it is wagging its tail with its tongue hanging out, looks over at me and starts to growl and bear its teeth, only to turn away from me and go back to wagging its tail again...I think that there is something else going on.

That last part actually happened at a different time with the same dog mentioned in this post.

I'm at the point where I'm shocked if a child doesn't instantly gravitate toward me, usually between 6 months and 4 years old. It's always fun when all the mothers at work crowd around a child and the child ignores them all and comes over to me, the childless man. If only ladies my own age would do that I wouldn't still be single!

Even when I'm in a new place children still act the same way. It's come to a point where if a baby speaks to me I'm no longer surprised (yes some babies first words were to a complete stranger ). Believe me I should be the last person a child gravitates towards given my imposing frame but children treat me like a rock star. What's most amazing of all is how children open right up and talk about very specific things to someone they don't even know like how mommy is getting too old to have another baby. Poor parents get embarrassed but children must know that I will take what they say seriously and respond accordingly.

I must admit the first reaction I have to auras is to laugh at the idea but watching the eyes of babies light up from a sleepy state after looking at the top of my head tells me they see something. If it happened once or twice I could call it a co-incidence but not when I get the exact same reaction 95% of the time.
