I can't tell you how excited I was to find this site. My 4 yr old son has been "freaking me out" lately. Here's why....
In 1990 my husbands brother was tragically killed in an auto accident at the age of 20. My son was born in 1996 and we gave him his uncle's middle name. In 1999 my father-in-law passed away, and before he died, he gave my son a deer head that he had shot and mounted many years ago. Ever since my son was 2 years old, he has told stories that have always started with "When I was big..." or "Back when I was a big boy...." The most recent story is about how he was with his grandpa when grandpa shot the buck..which my son refers to as *his* buck. When my husband questioned my son about what grandpa shot the buck with...my son described the gun that grandpa indeed used to shoot that buck with...a gun that was sold years before my husband and I were even married.
I am a solid believer in the after-life...and have had many experiences throughout my life. But to be honest, it spooks me a little to think that my son could be my brother-in-law.
My husband and I both encourage our sons memories.
Also, when our daughter was 3 years old (she is now 5) she had a "friend" that only she could see. She only played with this friend when she was outside in the front yard, and she would say that she and this "boy" rolled around in the grass and he kissed her on the cheek. After doing some research, I discovered that about 3 years before we built our house on this lot, there was an accident right in front of where our house stands now, and a young male (18 years old, I believe) was killed.
It makes me feel so much better to read the stories posted here....sometimes my husband thinks I'm crazy, but I do have a best friend who also has things happen to her, and we are very 'connected' to each other.
I could go on for days...but I will go for now and wait for replies. I'm so interested in anything the rest of you have to say.
Thanks for reading.
