Could My Son's Fears be Linked to a Past Life?

My son (9years) has staggering fears of people that have lost limbs. We have been in public places where he has had full blown fits of hysteria and cannot calm down, cannot put into words what it is that bothers him and he has to leave immediately.

I've tried reasoning with him, explaining that it is not something contagious, explained how his reaction can hurt people's feelings, etc., but he is adamant.

Could this fear be the result of a past life - perhaps in a war or an accident where his former "self" lost a limb?

My mom did a past life regression with Carol about a year ago and found out some amazing things. I am thinking of contacting her to schedule a regression for my son. I also read her book "The Past Lives of Children" and found it fascinating.

Thank you for your input.

One more thing - I was just reading another thread and one of the moms mentioned that her son had a "stork mark" birthmark and that she had read that these kinds of birthmarks could be scars from a past life. My son has a huge birthmark on his left leg - it's a red, blotchy birthmark and runs above and below the knee and down his calf. The above comment has me thinking that maybe my son suffered some sort of tragedy in a past life where his leg got torn/bitten/blown off....? Don't know if I am making sense, but it's very interesting to think about.

Hi Scanne, and welcome to the Forum!

Personally, I think you are on the right track by scheduling an appointment with Carol for your son. I hope your son is as open to the idea as you are. My hunch is that, if he is truly open to the session, you may both bring a peaceful end to his phobia.

Thank you! I don't know how open he'll be or if he would understand the concept, but it is something I am interested in exploring.

Hi scanne, welcome to the forum :)

I'm sorry to hear about your son's fears. I was just going to say that it's fairly common for children to feel afraid of any 'abnormalities' in another person. When I was a child, our next door neighbour had severe Cerebral Palsy, and even though she was a lovely lady, I felt absolutely terrified whenever she came anywhere near me. I tried to hide it, but I'm sure she would have noticed :(

However, the birthmarks on your son's lower leg could indeed be an indication that he suffered with the loss of a limb in a past life, and the sight of people today in the same predicament could be triggering memories of that.

I'm sure Carol wouldn't mind if you contacted her :)

Welcome Scanne,

Are you keeping a journal? Does your son like to draw? Perhaps he would be willing to draw his fear. Don't lead him to any conclusion, just suggest he do a drawing of how he feels about it and see IF he unconsciously expresses the root of why he feels this way. Just a suggestion.
