I never believed in reincarnation until my son was born in 1998. Literally when he was born I felt "forgiven". Since then he has shown himself to be different than our other children (we have 6 and yes, by choice
). He has reached physical milestones on target but academically he was always ahead of others.
By the time he was 18months old he knew all of his ABC's (upper case and lower and not by rote memorization), numbers, colors, shapes. He would make remarks about his friend not keeping his mouth shut causing him (my son) to get his nose "busted open" (this remark was said when he was when he was 2 1/2) and many other little "one liners" as I like to call them.
Our problem is now this: He's suddenly doing things he says he can't remember. Like stabbing a knife through his younger sister's closet wall, an obsession with fire. I thought he was psychotic and worried to I had him committed to a children's psychiatric hospital. While there they said they found no indications of mental illness. Why a member of the staff found alarming was how he knew about bear traps (the old kind with the teeth you stepped on in the middle) and "snare traps". He even drew detailed drawings of them for the staff. That staff member suggested I have our son see a hypnotherapist because a past life could be causing problems now. Just this past friday night he fell asleep in the living room and woke up shouting "die, die, die". About an hour later he woke up in a panic saying "they're trying to shoot me". My sister in law was shocked. For me and my husband this is just a part of our son.
Should we have him regressed? We have never minded the memories but now it seems that he's going on autopilot (and all the incidents/problems he is causing is when everybody's sleeping). Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
