Do you believe in Hell?

this basic argument turns up again and again. I hear it many times. It's such a logical impossibility and contrarian point of view to the principles of love that are also taught in these religions.

I too believe that "hell" is the absence of love and or god.

In high school I was the presbyterian youth fellowship president until I was shouted down because the majority of the crowd was certain the methodists across the street were going to hell because they didn't believe in the same Jesus we did. My comment that "What if those methodists think the same about us?" was met with "well they're wrong!"
Some battles are simply better not fought.
This is really the first time I have heard a first hand account of one Protestant sect disagreeing, to that extent, with another Protestant sect. I am a baptised Catholic, my parents converted and I started going to a Catholic school in the 5th grade. I've heard some unknowing 'christians' insist that Catholics are not Christians. I ask if they have ever heard of the council of Nicea in 325 a.d. and the former pagan Roman emperor Constantine and they ALL say what does that have to do with Christianity. I just say read your history book and then we'll talk about it, and let it go at that?!!

Knowledge is a wonderful thing and if you want to form an opinion maybe you should get the facts straight first .
