A few months ago I was visiting with my brother and almost 3 year old nephew, Evan. My brother was drinking a cup of coffee and Evan remarked, "I used to like coffee." My brother replied, "You did ?" To which Evan answered, "In my old life I drank coffee. I was a daddy and a doctor. I saw patients."
No one has ever discussed past lives with him. In fact, I was the only believer in my family until then. My brother is intrigued now, though. I find it interesting that he used past tense words. He wasn't pretending to be a doctor in the present, nor was he saying he was going to be a doctor when he grew up.
