Hi people im looking for a little bit of advice regarding a little incident that happened when i moved into my new house:

We moved into our new house nearly 2 years ago but within the first week my youngest daughter starting telling me things that i knew had never happened before,

she would say her and her daddy would roll down that big hill together and point to the hill just down from our house

one morning while i was making breakfast for her and my other children she said to me " My mummy used to make me pancakes for breakfast" i looked at her and said darling ive never make you pancakes, she looked at me again and said "well my other mummy used to"

she would mention other thing her & her daddy did while out on the hill mostly playing or rolling about the leaves etc

this went on for 3 months then stopped do you think she remembered another life or could there be another answer for this.

i also beleived we have a spirt in our house which has been seen and heard on numerous occasions by different people could she be recalling the life of that person maybe?

i really hope someone can help cause i'd love to know

thank you very much xx :)

Hello Kia's Mummy! Welcome to the forum, we're glad you found us. I think you will see that you are not the first to have this type of adventure with your child. Check out the Children's Section there are many threads that will help you out. We don't get too involved in "spirits" but we have a section for the paranormal. My first suggestion to you is to read and study as much as you can on here, and then get Carol Bowman's book Children's Past lives! She specializes in children remembering past lives. You'll find out about this book and others in our book section.

And, by all means ask any questions you want, we're glad to support you.

Yes, what you describe your daughter saying could be clues a past life she was remembering. How old was she when she spoke of these things? Keeping a journal with everything she said like this written down and dated can be great for putting together the pieces as time goes on...Tinkerman & Totoro have already given you great advice!

Feel free to ask any questions, and do keep us updated!

Hi Kia's Mommy and welcome to the forum!

I have a child who has many past life memories. The home I owned while with her father was on the property that her family owned when she was in a former life. Her old house is still there, kinda hidden amongst the new homes. It even has the weird paint job she said it would.

The property had been divided into many lots from the original large lot.

Perhaps she chose to be born to you knowing that you would be living in the same property she once loved?

Just a thought ....

Please write down what she says. That information will become invaluable as the days go by.

Also, you can check out her information by heading to your local library and checking out the city directories. They are a wealth of information when searching for past life confirmations.

My own opinion would be that, if anything, she will be recalling her own past life. It's interesting that you should think that she may be recalling the memories of a person who has passed on.

Dr Ian Stevenson and Tom Shroder gave that same theory some thought. However, as they noticed, children don't say, for example, "This person used to do this" or "This person used to do that". Instead, they say "I used to do this" or "I used to do that". So, whatever these memories are that children recall, they are positive that they are their own.

I personally don't think there is any case at all that would be down to children picking up on memories that's not their own. I believe that the most logical explanation would be that they're simply remembering a past life. If more people noticed things such as what you have, then we would have much more reports of children saying things that would be past life related.

Seeing things at the new home maybe triggered her to remember, even if they aren't from where she used to be

It is also quite possible that both could be true, that your daughter was once the child that lived in that house or a house nearby. You could have been drawn to buy that particular house.

Has she had any memories that she spoke of recently? Many children grow out of their memories as they get older and their attention focus on learning, friends and so much more.

The most important things I can tell you is to believe your daughter, to support her, ask open ended questions and take notes when you can. The notes you take can help you both down the road with her memories.
