Hi !

I would like to know if this is rare to experience being a spirit, ghost or perhaps common for any of you when you've done past life regression meditation or remember spontaneously being that ?

Thanks :)

Hi Jaimie,

I wish you would put back what you just deleted. I signed in to do a "like" and it was gone--apparently erased while I was reading. Anyhow, I have no memories of this type, but see no reason to doubt yours. I have read accounts of people hanging around for awhile afterwards. I don't really think of that as much in the "ghost" category as just some normal or wistful lingering. Sometimes there are some attempts to get through with communications or help out.

It may just be me, but when I think of ghosts I think of something more pathological, a spirit with a seeming complete inability to move on from some lifetime or something that happened, etc. I think there are special guides that are assigned to cases like that to try and get them to let go and move forward with their existences. However, they seemingly are also capable of screening out such helpers.

Anyhow, nice post. I wish you would put back the rest of it.

PS--Michael Newton has some information on this type of thing in his second book, "Destiny of Souls". I have also seen some things along this line in other books recounting things that came out during regressions. Sometimes people linger--some for longer than others. After a while, if people don't move on, there is an "intervention" or at least an attempt at one. So, you should be able to find some confirmation for this type of PL memory in the literature. It happens. In any case, nothing you said indicated to me that you stayed so long that someone had to come to try and "shake" you out of it. Also, from what I can tell, nothing is forced. So, if a spirit refuses to depart . . . . it seems like they're allowed to stay until they finally have had enough.

Thank you SeaAndSky ! I thought it would be tiredsome to read until one would finally come to my question so that was why I removed it but I appreciate that you like it : )

It is interesting to read your thoughts on ghost and spirits and I think you're right.

Alright, here I go again...

I experienced being a spirit in a past life when I had died from drowning in the 1920's and painfully watching my boyfriend/fiance/husband ? go from being a "good boy" to a "bad boy", getting dead drunk, smoking opium, being unfriendly. I could see his father's frustration and grief. I think my love tried to turn things around and he had a new girlfriend/fiance ? but he was slipping still into his bad life style, alienating himself from his father and his new girl. Suddenly he was dying thanks to his destructive ways and could then see me. I felt so much love there between us, like an energy on it's own and I told him to hold on but he wanted to stay with me. I don't know if he returned to his body or not. I felt for his father because even if he had not approved of me, wanting his son to be with a girl from his own society instead, I knew his son's death would destroy him and I would not wish that pain upon anyone, if it was one thing we had in common it was the love for his son.

In another past life I experienced that I as a spirit wanted to alarm my ex ( we were co-parenting ) so that he would either phone home to me or come by and realize I was in much trouble, dying or being dead already but he did not at all seem to notice my presence as a spirit staring at him.. I also feared that one of our children would come home. What broke my heart was seeing my child cry. My mother loosing color in her face and nearly, or fainting, not being able to stand on her feet, I loved them so much. Another thing I experience was seeing the ex in a room with some other men and he was very angry and they were calm and why I don't know but I think it had to do with me. A third thing I remember is very dramatic, like a scene from a movie. It was the sight of the ex grabbing hold of my killer ( my boyfriend )'s throat, neck area and then I saw the gun that my ex had put against his throat. I think that was why the killer did not object, did not move.

When I read about her death I was always puzzled how my old nightmare from early childhood to other ways of me remembering what had happened was not at all close to what was thought was cause of death. I was right about a lot of other things and then reading something one has experienced is not the truth...

In quite recent time I have been able to find parts of a private investigation done by a man who her family and ex talked to a lot and wanted to find out what had really happened. The doors were shut to the investigator to get the police to listen to him, but I have read some things that I clearly remembered was fitting into what had happened, what led up to her death so at least I have that and know I did not just make it up.

Thanks again for reading this :)

I once got a flash of an event I was not physically capable of being present for, as my former self had been deceased for... eighteen years at that time. But, I saw the room clearly and the person. He was a past-life companion, a friend or something a little more [there is a lot of love there, I sense], and it was his death I bore witness to. Like I was there to be an escort to the other side. I sensed his pain [he died of a heart attack, his second], and his father was there as well in spirit. It was only a brief flash, then it was over, but it felt so vivid. So surreal. It also helped to explain how I was so accustomed to his mature appearance in a photograph that was taken a short time before he died. My heart skipped a beat, when I first saw it. And, something told me I had seen that face [as it was in the photo]. But, as mentioned above, my former self had been in the other realm for eighteen years. How could I know that exact face?!

However, I feel it must be said that I don't personally believe in the ability to see spirits. The gentleman I spoke about above, he lingers around me from time to time, but I never see him. I just know him to be there. It's often in times of need or great stress that he comes by to lift my spirits, almost as it was in the olden days.

That's amazing, thanks for sharing ! What a feeling it must have been to have seen his photograph, I remember when that happened to me, seeing someone that was only real in one's head and heart and then to get a black-and white photo proof of it !

How cute that he hangs around you these days too, wonder why you have not been reincarnated together though, it seems to me that some are reborn shortly after and some a lot of years in between :)

I'd seen a handful of photographs of him, from around the time we knew each other, and it was the same reaction. I knew his face, I saw his smile, I remembered his eyes. But, as I said previously, I hadn't been around to see him become a mature man, so I couldn't know how he had aged. But, the photograph brought a memory. A recognition. I knew I had seen him as a mature man, then I got the answer for the 'how'. It was only fleeting, but it was there.

I do sometimes wonder why we didn't come back together, as it were. Perhaps, he had learned his lessons and transcended the need to incarnate again. Maybe, he's just taking a well-earned long vacation from incarnation and we'll come around together again in the next one. If there was nothing between my death in that life to my birth in this one, I had 44 years of rest. I do believe I had earned it! :D But, if I had earned 44 years, Harry [the man I've been writing about] deserved a fair bit more. We went through similar experiences, within the espionage/sabotage effort of WWII, but he had another 18 years after I left that life. Records state he was plagued with what could be described as PTSD symptoms. He started to drink more, he didn't look after himself so well, he ended up having a heart attack a few months prior to the one that killed him. And, some say he never forgot my former self. So, he deserves to be at rest. But, me? I'm not sure why I came back. I must have some lesson still to learn.
