like Ancestry or Find A Grave?
I do not plan on doing this myself. I'm just asking: Let's say you've discovered a past life, but it happened in, like, the 1600s and there are no records for it anywhere. Would it be right to create the record yourself, or would that be considered "cheating"? (As in, adding it just for the sake of having verification). I personally think it is wrong to do this because it can make the validation feel hollow and artificial, though there are times when I'm so frustrated at not finding "me" that I am tempted to do so. What do you guys think?
