Life in Argentina in 40s and early 50s, looking for others

As promised, did try the regression again. I felt like I was skipping around different times in that life: childhood, couple different parts of adulthood. Don't think it worked because I was thinking of something that I had thought of a bit before I started: being in a living room or something at night sitting on a couch or a rather large armchair extremely close to whoever my husband was, and he was reading to me in another language (Italian, I believe). Also, apparently towards the end of the recording they ask you to think of the year, country, and your name, Argentina being obvious and for some reason 1947, but I once again kept thinking Maria Eva Duarte de Perón (though I did think of Eva Maria at first). Anyone who doesn't think I'm crazy yet should probably start doing so, because now even I'm convinced I'm nuts.

It sounds to me like it DID work. I think when you start doing regressions it's not unusual to get jumbled images like random jigsaw pieces. After a while it should settle down. Write everything down. After awhile it should start to make sense.

Well, as you probably already know, Peron went to Mussolinni' s Italy, so he probably spoke Italian, so the memory could be accurate.

I think the dice are already rolled, keep trying to have memories,of course, they are never enough, but with the information you provided so far the people who will believe you will believe you, and the people who won' t will need more than memories to do so. From what I' ve seen so far in the world, it's very easy to find out who you were, but it takes years to accept it. I think you should just relax and start thinking about things outside of identity problems ("Was I or was I not?"). Maybe reflect about how you can know yourself better after you had that Pl experience, how that life affected this life, your moods, your thoughts, your feelings, how you take that information to do something now, or even how does reincarnation work and how you can help others in a similar situation. What is accepting a past life, how to do it and what it takes. I don' t know, things like that. Probably you already thought about a few of them, but I think at this point is important to detach a little bit from the identity problem and focus on other reincarnation matters, both personal and inter-personal since there is nothing else that can be done regarding identity.

I felt completely conscious though, and every time I thought of something I brushed it away because I thought it was too similar to something in one of the movies I've seen or the book I own about Eva. I especially avoided the part about reading in the evening because I had thought about that beforehand and it reminded me of a short passage Evita wrote about Perón teaching her some Italian, French, and English.

Most of us are conscious when we do a regression. That's why you need to do it in a quiet room, etc. With the phone and TV turned off. Learn to pay attention to the little thoughts that pop into your head. That's where the important clues are. It's very possible you WERE Eva Peron. Most people were not someone famous, BUT there are famous people around and they reincarnate also. You may discover little clues about Eva that are not well known to the public.

I think that you couldn't get better advice than you have from Owl and Argonne. Let it be for a while, and see how it goes. I think what you have told us so far is very convincing. When you relate a memory, I feel like I'm talking to Eva Peron, and I don't say things like that very often. You are doing well! Just follow Owl's advice, and relax for a while. Even if later on, you decide that you were someone else, it's okay. Everyone here will accept you.

I always make sure I try doing them at night when everyone else is asleep, everything's silent, and it's dark, so really I'm my own biggest distraction. I'll think of something that I'm unsure of and purposefully reject it, something else will come and I find it too similar to something else, so I stop that too, and so forth. I guess it scares me a bit because I really don't want to think I'm being influenced by the research I've done, but at the same time I don't want to say something made up and turn out to be wrong either.

Guess I may as well say what I saw/thought of, just for kicks, I guess. I feel that after all this time I'm closer to an answer than ever, so there's no giving up now.

Besides the reading in Italian, there was

-walking down a street wearing sunglasses and a scarf or something over my head, I feel like it might have been in Recoleta for some reason but I'm not sure, it had some nice trees growing out of the sidewalk, I was passing by a cafe

-being teased after school as a small kid (7 or 8, give or take), not sure what for

-being in a large, kinda crowded room and facing a windowed door leading to a balcony, it was in the evening and there were people outside cheering, and of all things I remember giving Perón a hug (think it was before some speech, but I wasn't going to go out onto the balcony with him)

-walking with my husband by a river bank of some sort, it wasn't in the city, so I'm guessing we had left for a short time for political reasons or maybe just a vacation.

My mind would randomly go back and forth between these thoughts, and it was nothing like I had ever experienced before when trying to do a regression on my own for sure. The first time I ever regressed was actually by accident, as I was listening to a meditation tape (they basically had the same effect, as I later realized) in my health class a few years back, and I kind of switched between two different memories from the life I had before I ended up in Argentina, so I guess it's not too hard to believe, but this was insane with everything seeming to come in flashes. Once I tried to get out of one, I'd think of another and so forth.

Hi Chinita. I have trouble finding a private time to meditate, also. It's a problem when you live in a household with other people! As for the memories, it could be argued that most of them are generic, but the one where you are hugging Peron stands out. I know very little about him. Was he the kind of person who would allow himself to be hugged by an employee, or a servant? Were you in Eva's body in the memory?

I'm not sure, to be honest. Friendly as he was, I feel like he mainly hugged people he knew well because the pictures I've seen of him hugging people are with Eva and Isabel and occasionally some other men, and I'm pretty sure he came to me first rather than vice versa, so I feel like that might be something. I may have been Eva, but really whoever I was, I didn't see her despite the fact that she probably should have been nearby, and I didn't really care who I was, I just knew it was me as I was then.

Does anyone know what Perón used in his hair? He had something in it to slick it back that had a distinct scent to it that I can't really describe but would recognize easily, along with an aftershave or something.

Probably Gomina Brancato, that' s what they all used back then.

I think quite it's possibly because that scent was linked with one of the strongest emotions she felt during that life. If I had beem Eva, I wouldn't much priority on past fame and wealth compared to a husband who also doubled as a father-figure. Finding him would come first- perhaps it would only seconded by returning to Argentina, so the memories would return accordingly.

One thing I've been thinking about that makes me wonder is why I feel attached to Isabel, Perón's next wife. If I had been Evita, I never would have met the woman (not alive, at least), and I question how sympathetic she would have been towards her. I don't remember anything after about 1952, yet I still have those dreams about Isabel as if we had met face-to-face before, and I remember the first time I looked her up online about a year and a half ago, I could have sworn I had seen her before and even knew what her voice sounded like before hearing it on a recording. And yet anything that could possibly be a memory from that time period is seeing her.

Are you positive that Isobel wasn't part of the Peron "entourage"? You know this history far better than I do. The only other thought I have is rather far "out there". Could Eva have been observing Isobel from the other side? I have wondered how Eva would have felt about Peron having her embalmed and put on display for such a long time. I know that it is said that souls don't care about the physical body, but Peron's behavior was bizarre, to say the least. There is a long time lapse between Eva's death, and your birth. Do you have any sense of another life in between?

Positive- they didn't meet until he was in exile years later. I feel like there wasn't anything in between, to be honest, but watching Isabel from the other side would make sense to me, and seeing that Eva's body was transported from place to place and seriously abused after the coup of '55, I think I would have stayed too, just to make sure I got a proper burial at home (which Isabel FINALLY arranged after she and Perón returned to Argentina, she even put their bodies beside each other). Isabel was rumored to have really taken care of Eva's body to the point that she would brush the hair and supposedly try to channel her spirit (nice try with that), so I guess maybe Eva wouldn't have been so bitter about there being a replacement, as I think of her.

Personally I've always been extremely accepting of whatever Perón does, which is a rarity for me. I try to think of it as a way to keep Eva around forever. Too bad Isabel never bothered doing the same thing and someone stole his hands years later… >.>

You must have loved Peron very much. Do you have any sense of where he is? I guess I'm asking if he's "in the flesh" again. It will be interesting to see if he "appears" in your life in a new guise.

I adored him for sure, took the saying "La vida por Perón" pretty seriously. I feel like he's back, and my gut says he's still in Argentina, but I don't know who he is now. There's an Argentine kid my age who kinda reminds me of him, but I don't think it's him, honestly. I certainly hope I find him, because I'm way too attached for my own good even now.

Since I don't have any other place to keep track of my thoughts while I'm figuring things out about being Eva, I guess this will be it.

You know, looking at him now, I'm starting to wonder if perhaps it may be him. He has the very same ideology and is drawn to the same lifestyle Peron had (kinda like how I try to pass off my attachment to Eva), same sort of personality, even has the same cheesy smile, and I just realized he was born a day before the anniversary of Eva's death (3 in 365 chance he'd be born on or a day before/after in the year I was born). He also gets called Peron at school just like I get called Evita.

No idea what to do with him though. It's not like I'm going to say anything to him. We contact through FB, and even though we're in the same group of friends and my Spanish is tolerable, I still get much too flustered to start a decent conversation with him most of the time, and he doesn't speak a lick of English (but that's ok, because his Italian is great even though I don't speak it so it doesn't help). It's a real shame too, because from what I've gotten out of him he's a sweet guy.

If he is Peron, his soul will recognize yours, and you will be drawn together. That happens a lot, most people just don't realize why the attraction is there. I will be curious to hear if a relationship develops between the two of you. I think that it is both harder, and easier to make connections on line. Harder, because the physical attraction might not be there, and easier because it's the "pure" soul that's speaking to you.

I agree on that. It's also easier to be fooled by fakes, but since he has no idea about reincarnation, I'm happily assuming I won't run into that problem with him. I guess it'll be hard to tell unless we meet in person just because the language barrier gets to us online, and since we're the same age and would both like to move to Buenos Aires to study the same things, we might end up at the same university and get the opportunity then.

I guess since school just got out for the summer I've had more time to think over things, and my head is going in circles because of this. Somehow my mind has partially reverted to back then, and so the past two or three days I've had too many occasions and wondered who that person in the mirror was because I'm supposed to look less Asian and more Latin. Also had a moment (scary thing was it lasted more than a moment) when I saw a picture of the current president of Argentina (who I have been extremely familiar with since I got into this mess) and wondered when she became president because somehow I managed to think Peron or one of his predecessors was in office. Everything seems strange to me right now even though absolutely nothing has changed around here lately. I guess maybe watching the movie Evita again just a few days ago kinda messed with my head too much, I don't know. Funny thing is parts of that movie still reaaaally bother me. It doesn't help that a very close friend of mine from Argentina has been arguing with me over the Perons, then saying how terrible he thought Eva was. I normally respect his opinions because he's extremely intelligent (one of the smartest, most well-read people I've ever come across), but I was pretty angry at him. I just felt like everything bad he said was socking me personally right in the face. I'm normally sensitive enough to the awful things people say about her, but now even more so, to the point where I can barely handle it.

Believe me, I'm trying to let go. I've been trying for the past few years to figure out what's keeping me so attached to this life when I managed to let go of all my other lives, and it's frustrating me so much. There would always be a few things that I had to learn, overcome, or finish every other time, but with this it seems so much more complicated. It's really driving me nuts, especially periods like this when it really takes over my mind.

P.S. I do apologize for such an emotional rant, but I needed some place to vent to.

You know, despite it not being the case in my other lives, I feel that perhaps returning home to Buenos Aires would be a key part of trying to let go of all of this because I still have the feeling I'm not meant to since I still have things to fix as well as finish. And as if I hadn't been feeling homesick enough, I randomly encountered this tonight:

http://miradaatenta.wordpress.com/2012/05/13/palacio-unzue-la-demolida-residencia-presidencial-de-juan-domingo-y-eva-peron/

It's a blog post someone wrote about what happened to the residence Peron and Eva stayed at during his presidency and what became of it, and I didn't have the patience to read it, but the photos of it then and now were touching to me, although not necessarily in a good way since they appear to have ruined a lot of it since 1955. I know it sounds cliche, but of course it seems extremely familiar to me. I look at it and I see a place I called home for a while.

I was thinking a lot today about some of the dates in my life and how they line up with Argentina. My lucky numbers have always been three or multiples of it (esp. 6 and 9). Last year was the 60th anniversary of Eva's death (and July 26th happens to be my name day as well), the 30th anniversary of the beginning of the Falklands War (which was what got me into modern Argentine politics), and on top of it all, I turned 15 (the same age Eva was when she left for Buenos Aires and sort of sealed her fate, which I guess I did as well by letting myself be dragged even further into this wonderful little mess). Also, my birth date is the anniversary of the start of a war Argentina was involved in. Amazingly that year the PSAT was given on October 17th, which is Peronist Loyalty Day, but that's a different story since it's just a national test. The only thing that makes it stand out it that it was on the 17th in 2012 when all of this happened. And if you look at October 17th, that's 10 + 17, which is 27, which is 3 to the 3rd.

On a happier and less complicated note, I tried my first little bit of Argentine Malbec wine at dinner. Normally wine (particularly red wines) comes off as strong since I rarely drink any, but with this I felt like I was used to it the first time I tasted it as if I had had it many times before, but I know I haven't in this life. It was a good feeling recognizing the taste.

Since I've returned from a month-long vacation overseas jet-lagged (tired but unable to sleep at night, which leaves the mind more suceptible to hypnosis, etc) and mentally a little refreshed from not having Eva Perón's face (or that of anyone connected with her) due to less time spent on the Internet (the latest post I made in the questions section aside since I had a gut feeling it might be time to post that sentiment), I decided to try using a regression therapy recording again.

During parts of it, it was almost like there were two of me. In my head I asked myself when I was born in my life in Argentina. The other me answered "7 May, 1919," which I probably would have brusshed off as wishful thinking (since that's Eva's birthday) had it not been for the fact that the date was given in Spanish (siete de mayo milnovicientos-diezinueve) without a second of hesitation. I've spoken Thai all my life, and by this point I've studied both German and Spanish for three years now, but in no language other than English am I under normal circumstances good with numbers larger than ten or any dates (years especially are extremely difficult). Given I'd know Eva's birthdate by heart in English, but Spanish? Nope. Then there was something about being on a train, sort of a fancy one, where I had my head out the window to see people outside and I could feel the breeze since we were moving (not very fast, just barely going). There might have been something about being in a plane too, the sort that would scare me even more than today's airliners do, but that part wasn't very clear. Of course on the recording I have, towards the end it wants you to think of a year. I asked myself of the year and again in Spanish that "other me" spat out 1949, and whether that had anything to do with the travel things, I'm honestly unsure of. It may or may not have been connected, again, no idea. If anyone Argentine could tell me what in the world was happening with the Peróns in '49, I'd be extremely grateful. I don't think Eva really flew that often, save maybe the big Europe tour in whatever year that was (either '47 or '49, I can never remember since, once again, I'm terrible with numbers).

Oh, forgot to mention, also asked myself to spell out my full name after feeling frustrated with responses of Eva. I got Maria (which is common; girls are often named things like Maria Eva, Maria Estela, etc.) and the beginning of a second name that began with an "E," but figuring I'd end up adding a "V" and "A" to it next (though looking back I do believe I really was trying to say "V" after all), I stopped myself. So my first two initials were M.E., provided I wasn't subconsciously spelling Eva's name for the sake of getting Eva's name since I want to avoid things like that. Oh, and the letters of the alphabet were also pronounced in my head as they are in Spanish. I haven't done anything like that for nearly four years.

Welcome back, Chinita. I have found that I know things when asleep that I am not conscious of knowing when awake. It's easier for your sub-conscious to function. I think your experience with the numbers is pretty impressive "evidence".

BriarRose said:

I'll say. It's definitely something I can't brush off as just imagination. Definitely was a weird experience for me.

I checked a little timeline in the back of my copy of Eva's book "Mi Mensaje," and 1949 seems to be the one year where nothing major happens, besides opening a new orphanage and her becoming president of the Peronist Feminist Party. I do recall wanting to come up with a year that was sort of random and didn't have anything really big attached to it (like 45, 47, or 51-52), so I guess I knew which year to pick. Funny thing I also noted as I looked at the timeline was that Eva published an article called "Why I am a Peronist." Swear to God I had never heard of it but have for the longest time wanted to write a post in my blog or something entitled that. Reminds me of the time I once said something to someone and about a month later read that Eva once said something extremely similar… Different situations and topics, but same line…

The "Peronist" article, and your blog seem like much more than coincidence. Are you more at peace with the idea of having been Eva, or still feeling conflicted?

Yeah, I suppose I'm more at peace with the idea. After all, had I no reason to believe it, I probably would have dropped the idea a few years ago. Still, outside confirmation never hurts, nor does still keeping an eye out for things that might say I was not in fact Eva.

Of course, thinking I'm Eva has its own conflicts. I seem to be one of the few people who don't portray her as a demon or saint, and I have to deal with that mindset a lot. Then there's all the politics tied to it, and the politics aren't exactly a picnic.

I think you will work your way through the conflict. In the end, what matters is what you do with the life you have now. Eva doesn't "drive the bus", Chinita does.

I certainly couldn't agree more on that, Briar. At the same time, though, I feel like this life is supposed to be a second chance, and if you believe what that Thai astrologer/fortune teller told me about someday moving to a foreign country and becoming a successful leader (with politics a very good area to look at for me), it could be true. And if I get another start, I'm going to do things right this time. I've certainly learned my lessons from then. This time around I'm not going to rush anything, I'm going to go to college and not try to take over the world in my 20s. I'm not going to sacrifice time with my husband or children (I'm supposed to finally have children this time) for work even though it'll be as important as ever if it involves politics. And though I still agree with Peronist ideals, if my husband turns out to be another Perón story, there's not going to be the same amount of propaganda (especially in schools) and there will be room for opposition. Furthermore, I do believe there's certain problems the Peróns caused that still haven't been fixed- as well as things that still haven't been finished. Every Peronist does believe in some way or another that we're supposed to somehow come back when we're needed again, after all. If I'm Eva and this isn't the reason for my life this time, I don't know what is.
